In other TMNT series (mostly 2003 if I remember, didn’t watch much of 2012), Usagi and Leo had a very close competitive rivalry/swordsmanship relationship and were also very close friends. This closeness is why so many people ship Leosagi, even though Usagi wasn’t in Rise (though if there ever is a season three, maybe he’ll be there? Maybe?)
