This video is all about Russian listening practice. I´ll read 100 conversational Russian phrases to you. Each phrase will be repeated three times. The first two times there will be no subtitles. I just have got a few of them but your pronunciation is excellent and for me is the way to refresh my learning. Thank you for taking your time and editing this kind of video.
I love this format. The more I study, the more I find I'm able to read the language, but my listening skills are poor. Listening to and talking with native speakers is of limited help, because I can't tell where one word ends and the next one begins. The way you present the phrases and sentences, stating them twice and giving us time to think and process what we've heard before disclosing the caption, is very effective. Please consider doing more of this type. Спасибо большое!
Thanks! I just published a similar video with 50 more phrases last week!
I'm so excited--I was able to understand many words and phrases, and I'm just a beginner. This is incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Yay, so happy for your progress!
Really
I love your lessons. I am Norwegian and have been living in Ukraine for the past three months. Learning a little Russian everyday. I started watching your lessons only three days ago, and they have already boosted my Russian a lot!
Glad to hear that! Welcome! :)
I’m almost done with Pimsleur Russian Level 1 and I was thrilled to recognise some of the phrases or be able to deduce some from my limited vocabulary. Even in cases where I didn’t know what the phrase meant (most of them) I knew at least one or two words. Great feeling of accomplishment so far! Thanks for providing this as a study resource.
Happy to help, Edgardo!
I, too, am nearing the end of Pimsleur's Russian level 1, and I had the same experience with this video as you. Many thanks to this video's creator!
Someone asked for harder material. And your comment was "yes they were easy" .... But not all people ))) I liked it and I hope there are many more --- even "easy" as some people think. There are not a lot of good, helpful resources to move from reading and writing stuff to listening and saying stuff. But this was great. Looking forward to more if you wish to do them. A big thanks
Thanks! It´s difficult to please everybody because what´s easy for one person is not that easy for another person :) Everybody´s levels are different!
I found this to be a superb way to learn! Thanks very much, Kristina, I really appreciate your efforts to help us increase our knowledge of Russian :)
Thanks, Michael! I appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback
вы права, это урок это весело и полезно )) мне нравится
Рада, что вам понравилось!
this program is very useful thank you болшое спасибо
Glad you like it!
A great exercise to train my 'listening ear'. I usually needed the repetition to grasp the whole sentance the second time. An excellent tutorial. Many thanks. Your videos are a valuable resource and I will return to them often.
Thanks Mike, glad you found them useful!
This kind of drill is very useful, makes you talk! Thank you!
Yesss, it works both for practice listening and speaking!

I will, thanks!
I like your way ... keep going please❤❤💪💪👌🤝
Thank you 🙌
Hello, and thank you for your extremely useful video. I am a beginner (between A1 and A2), I can easily understand nearly all of your written sentences (except for a few scattered words some here and there), but only 70% of the sentences. I found the reason for this relative failure interesting, and instructive: as a beginner, I basically pronounce each word detached from the others, while you link them up in a continuous, even melodiuos flow, if you will. An example: кто это sounds, to my ear, as a single word with a single stress on the first o, while I pronounced it as "кто (pause) это". So your video not only taught me something, it also clearly pointed out to me the most important area on which I should focus my attention. Thank you.
You are the best, many thanks
Thanks for this video, Kristina, I think that's a fun way of learning a language. I have been learning Russian by myself for about 6 months now, almost exclusively with CZcams videos. And from this Video I have understood about 1/3 of the phrases at first listening, 1/3 more at second listening, and for the rest I think I will need some more time...
I'm learning Russian because I am planning a longer trip to Russia, maybe 3 or 4 months; I think so much time is needed for discovering such a big and interesting country, and learning a bit more of Russian culture and their way of life. And hopefully also make a few Russian new friends...
Sounds like a good plan. Have an amazing trip!
Thanks for this. This was great to listen and understand more than I expected and I feel more confident about speaking Russian now. I appreciate your work ❤
You're very welcome, Elfa!

Не за что!
По горам по долам. Проверьте в гугле, во всех словянских языках "в низ" это: польский w dół, хорватский dolje, сербский доле, чешский dolů, болгаоский надолу, словенский navzdol, словацкий dole, македонский надолу. украинском до долу, и только в московитском в низ, get on your knees по по английски. От сюда вот Герасимы и муму происходят.
loved this!!

This is a great video!
Glad you think so, Daniel!
Je découvre votre chaîne et quelle bonne surprise 😃 Ce format est vraiment très bon pour moi, on a le temps de comprendre et de répéter. J'ai de la chance le niveau est adapté au mien et les phrases sont bien trouvées pour réviser le vocabulaire et la grammaire. Alors merci beaucoup !! 🙏 Спасибо большое и приятного сочельника 🎄!
Не за что, рада помочь!
You are a beast. Thank you so much 💘
You are great!!!! Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Hi Again )))) I think that this one is my favourite. Your format is perfect for me. Without having any hints there for the first 2 times, it forces me to push that little bit more to get them right. Also, I find your speed of talking great and sometimes, if I want to challeng myself, all I need to do, is to increase the playback speed to 1.25. So thanks for the amazing amount of work that you have done in setting these up. I reckon I am gtting closer and closer to taking the next step....... not quite there yet, but feeling positive )))
Thank you for your feedback! I´m so glad you found this lesson useful. I´m sure that if you watch this video a couple of times, it will be SO EASY for you to understand these phrases, and you will not even have to wait for the translation to appear on the screen to check yourself
@@BoostYourRussian OK, getting close.........1 - 50 = 45/50 50 - 100 = 46/50 phew!!! )))) Still a few that stump me, but I guess I will have to live with that )))) time ot sleep )))
That's a really helpful format, thank you very much! I just wish that you, being a female teacher, you'd also use female forms... 😊
thank u very.much
I was able to understand many phrases because last week I was listening (over and over) to Sherlock Holmes. The slow Russian listening is definitely the cause for my improvement. I am very encouraged by your slow Russian method. Anytime I want to listen to you in "normal" speed I speed up the audio to x 1.25)) Thank You!
Great result, Bob! So glad to hear that my videos help you improve your Russian!
This is great!Thank you very much
You're very welcome!
I love your videos! Keep it up. The room you are recording in has an echo, so it isn't as clear as I would like.
terima kasih banyak 🙏🙏🙏
It was REALLY GREAT
Glad you liked it!
I don't want to rush to judgment, but this feels really effective! :O first, for listening skills and then for vocabulary and grammar. Most probably I'll give the 500 sentence one a try (I hope they're as good as these 100 here) also there is something very helpful about it being a video {well possibly I can rewind/jump-back in it with text and audio being in sync }
Glad you found the video helpful!
Спасибо.
Рада помочь :)

Thank you very much!!
You're welcome, Kay!
So useful, loved it. Only got about 30 percent fully correct, but knew the ball park of about 80 percent. Been learn since January this year. Excellent video!

Thank you very much❤️
