Oh and one more thing. I dunno if anyone remembers this. But KET (The Kentucky Network) produced this really strange Adult Math program. There was also this program called "Write Right". i just wanna see if anybody remembers those.

@bigblueplanet You found it! I never thought I'd see that logo again. I think the version I saw may have been a later version, for some reason I remember smoother-sounding music, and the logo was white on a blue background in the upper left corner. Though I do enjoy seeing the earlier one - I like early Scanimate graphics One of these days I plan to build a small version of one...
0:14-0:17 sounds like a small piece from Mannheim Steamroller's "Escape from the Atmosphere" ... 5:16 - 5:22 of Mannheim Steamroller's "Escape from the Atmosphere" matches PERFECTLY, instruments and all, to the piece used.
This is the video that started everyone doing PBS logo videos. Most of it is copied from here and edited a bit, yet have quite a few views. This was uploaded in 2007!!!
Nice collection of logos! There's one I'm looking for in particular... I don't know what station it's from, but it's a graphic of a reel-to-reel recorder running in the upper left corner of the screen, as a synthesized music phrase plays twice. Seen in NYC in the early 80's. Any idea what it's from?
Regarding Missouri-- you should be able to find some old program intro headers from KCPT in Kansas City, at least. And the 50th anniversary special from KETC in St. Louis does have an old program intro header from the 1970s (with probably the best-sounding synth music I heard for a PBS station).
The logo at 1:30 has a jingle that is actually a snippet from Mannheim Steamroller's "Fresh Aire" album. I believe it's the second track on there. Also, 0:13 's jingle is from a track on the "Fresh Aire V" album.
I vaguely remember KQED, because I used to live in the Bay Area in my youth (where they have another PBS station, KTEH, for San Jose, where I lived) until I moved up to the Sacramento area ten years ago. How did you get all those logos, anyway?
Actually, I think I recall seeing a WTVS logo on some national shows back in the 90s. If memory serves me right, it had a green background with the text "WTVS" inside a dark green circle, and "Detroit" below it (and I think "FROM" above "WTVS"), using a generic synth jingle.
@TJCoyote30 Don't know how to link it, but search on 'vegetable soup intro'. Find the one by user jacksorengan. This intro was used on PBS stations throughout NYS for instructinal programming during the 70s, and I imagine, the 80s. Let me know.
Out of all these logos, barring the PBS logo, only WGBH, KET, and WETA have the same logos here as they do today (even if the animations have changed).
I saw a new version of WETA yesterday, which evidently sponsored Ken Burns' documentary on World War II called "The War" (the next part of which I'm watching even as I write this).
The WCET Cincinnati one looks to me like it was made in the 70s (we already know the WGBH Boston one was). WLVT Allentown also has a very 70s-ish feeling to it, but because of the graphics it looks like early 80s. In fact, it seems easy to tell the "newer" ones apart from ones that were made in the earlier 80s, because of the more awkward graphics. Interestingly, nowadays WNET New York doesn't brand itself as "WNET" anymore---their logo is the big word "Thirteen" (as in channel 13).
15 years later, many more idents were discovered, and the “logo demo” is now 15 minutes long

Oldies but goodies, aren't they? Gee, I missed those good, old days with these logos.
That WQED logo was from the Zoobilee Zoo era (1986), and Hallmark was the Sponsor. But WQED was the producer.
