In all seriousness, I'm glad you got a dark Catch Me. The only model I've seen of him in hand looked SUPER plasticy and kinda turned me off the whole mold. I'm glad my Dani is a lot heavier and nicer looking 😅
I have enjoyed watching your breyer videos so much, especially since the model horse CZcams community is kind of dead sometimes. You've inspired me to start up my account again. You planning on doing a collection tour soon? Also chalky means that the model has a bascoat of white paint before the actual model is painted. This means that the whites will be actually painted instead of plastic. If you ever need to test for a chalky light will not shine though them.

There is chalky paint and chalky plastic though. I dont know much about the difference though, i only know there is two types because my mom said something about it
The painted ones dont get yellowed either which is nice!
@@GreyGhostBreyers Yes you're right. Chalky plastic was something breyer experimented with so they wouldn't have to paint whites, or at least so the whites would appear more stark. They didn't use it for long.
AAHH YES! I get the love-hate relationship with Catch me, he was almost IMPOSSIBLE to find at the clarion a few years back!
Finally starting up on my own collection! I been so unsure if I should start or not, but after your videos I just couldn't resist any longer and your collection is beautiful!
The first one I ever got was from the Spirit and Rain models that came with a foal (The Original Spirit not his son Spirit jr) aka the Spirit and Family when I was 10, but I lost them when we first moved.

Not even going to lie pretty much my whole Christmas list is breyers and I LOVE Theo, almost all of my breyers are Vintage because they are from when my mom was little or ones that one of the people she sold a house to gave us (60s-90s)
I asked for a Breyer for christmas and my mom said, "you already have enough"

Lol I’ve been collecting Breyer since I was a kid. I still only have about 5 traditional horses that I love dearly. One with a broken tail. I’d love the older models that Breyer advertisers their halters on. Really adore the older standing Indian model too. Alas I never had the heart to tell my parents I wanted it so I stuck with the next best thing and that’s the cheaper Schleich. ^_^

however I felt the need to comment, I’m not sure whether or not there was a lot of packing paper in that box however paper is used a lot within the community and packing. As long as the model itself is protected in bubble wrap correctly paper packing should be fine, if you don’t give the model room to wiggle around it works well! I’m not sure if you know this and the packing was just crap with wiggle room but just wanted to put it out there for others as well!

The vintage mare and foal look just like a set my grandmother had. That pair may have been born just a bit up the road from me and are possibly hand painted. That may be why they have a strange feel to them.

A lot of 53 breyers arrived today! The whole lot was like 120 dollars and the one in it could be sold for like 110 so it was worth it! Your collection is awesome and i want your lionheart and bozeman so im just gonna creep over and *steal them*

I am so glad I'm not the only one who thought that the Emerson mold looked like a cricket! I am also debating whether or not to buy Theo, was he worth it? I love the mold but the color is what throws me off! What is coloring like? I can see like, speckles, but I cant tell for sure.
The Georg mold is beautiful. The only thing I don't really like about it is its face.. Looks quite sad. The coat is detailed and it's not as metalic as I thought it'd be which is good lol. It's got speckles, shading.. It's a decent horse, not dying for it though
I have been looking for a Breyer(I am not sure what the model name is) but anyway the model is a mare she has a roached mane and a long tail I have also learned she is an Andalusian hope you know the name so I can find her I am in love with the model and can only find her on stone horses but way too expensive

Does that arabian mare smell like vinegar? If she feels weird and kinda greasy she may be decaying. Keep her on a shelf where she can be well ventilated. Shrinky damage normally happens if they have been kept in storage wrapped up for a long time with no air circulation.
