23 years sober for me. I absolutely love this discussion. I disagree with Kennedy on several significant issues (Israel, running in the two-party system) so my vote is going to Dr. West. BUT, as a fellow in recovery with long-term sobriety, I can assure you of this: You cannot stay sober for long by lying, cheating, and running game on people. So regardless of where RFK Jr. falls on the issues, he may get some things wrong but he's not full of shit. I highly recommend checking out his interview from The Jimmy Dore Show last night. They talk about recovery, spiritual experience, God, Carl Jung, the border crisis, climate, Israel (that part was uggh), and a bunch of other topics in-depth. This is a good man with good intentions, and he has a lot to contribute on so many issues. It's gonna be sad as hell to watch when the DNC Bernies him.

@@SN-bl6xm I’m still waiting for someone to specifically pull what he cites on his website and disprove it empirically, to make a decision about his claims. But regardless of the merit of his specific claims his stances all revolve around extra safety measures and making sure there’s less corruption within agencies that run public health through conflicts of interest. So I’m not as worried even if he’s wrong because if he is, then he as the president will be able to check, but as well as check potential medical,defense industry,environmental, and government oversight negligence and abuse, he’s proposing we check industries that don’t all necessarily have the most trustworthy track records either way. He’s way more genuine character wise that most politicians and seems more able to effectively bridge party divides too, which isn’t spoken about enough, even though it’s the only pragmatic way to get anything done in such a bureaucratic system.
I am crying my eyes out watching this. My son was just put in jail for a second time and is addicted to fentanyl. He’s been on heroin, crack and alcohol. He’s described to me very the same demoralizing feeling about himself. He is 25. I pray he is sober by 28. It is so heartening to hear a candidate be so real about such a difficult topic.
How could we not vote in this wonderful man? He is honest and kind and wants the best for people. ❤

RFK Jr’s story about his addiction, spiritual awakening and recovery is authentic and very moving. We need a President who has had a spiritual awakening, one who has faced the shadow in himself and has found the courage to walk a better path. That’s not Biden, that’s not Trump, and it’s not even Marianne Williamson. RFK Jr has faced his own demons, and he has been fighting the demons of corruption in America for decades. He is uniquely prepared and able to lead the nation out of these evil times.
I'm conservative in my approach but I can't help but believe that this may be the guy Americans need at this critical time. He may be able to help decrease some of the tensions that we all are feeling. Bring us closer together not further apart.

Sir, I was addicted to alcohol and what you are describing is a testimony to anyone addicted. My God and AA saved my life 34 years ago. The night before I got sober I was suicidal because I couldn’t stop drinking no matter what. For about an hour I was on my knees begging God to help me. I awoke the next morning with HOPE in my heart. I knew God had answered my prayer. I went faithfully to AA to help me continue to stay sober. It has worked all these years. I have tremendous respect for the Congressman for talking about this. May God continue to bless and protect him. He’s a good man. 🌈Btw I’m a conservative but he is truly an inspiration to America.

Workout , I think that nothing reassures our parents than knowing we workout and do the work required to stay afloat and free from depression. Once they are reassured they can enjoy their walks and naps in paradise without having to worry about us. It s only fair to not let them worry about us, as they deserve to rest in peace. For ur health and theirs, we need to exert ourself and sweat our problems away

I’m on my second time in my life being sober. You know who your people are when you can speak like this about addiction and they don’t think less of you, but more. I would be so proud to have a man like this as president. I don’t believe you can be a good leader if you haven’t been at or close to rock bottom. I definitely believe in synchronicity. There are too many examples to talk about, but the most profound one was probably when I had an overwhelming feeling telling me to go see my dad. As I walked up to the house, my brother and his wife pulled in and asked who called me. I said no one, just had a feeling that I needed to be there. My dad died 30 minutes after we arrived.

A couple years ago I was thinking of a classmate I had known fifty years before and I wondered if he was living or dead and I left feeling that he was dying. Then just this last year I heard that he actually did die 2 years ago and they were celebrating his death with a with a get-together that year. I connected with a friend from that time and she said she could hear him talking to her at that very time when he was dying and that's when it reminded me of what I had felt and I thought-- it was that same time.
ALWAYS be open to what is reaching out to us even if we can't see it or hear it or touch it. And u did!
i've only started listening to rfk the past couple of weeks and my god it's like a breath of fresh air to hear someone just talk so genuinely about their life experiences and not have an agenda behind anything. He truly wants the best for our country and can literally talk to anyone about anything. All i want is for more shows/podcasts like this to give him a platform to speak because we will listen. the political system in place is trying to silence him at all costs because they know he is a threat to everything that benefits them. we need someone like this to lead us in these turbulent times where it feels like we can't trust anyone in power. he will actually be able to bring real change and reform the agencies and corruption that has doomed our country for decades. Insane, I’ve struggled with addiction multiple times in my life and relate a lot to what RFK Jr said here. As crazy as it sounds being in a bender made me realize how evil I was thinking and being and that evil was a true thing that existed. It made me draw closer to God since I did not want to be evil. From there I was able to come out of my addiction through finally truly experiencing God’s grace.

My mom died 10 years ago and it still hurts. I’m am seeking a spiritual awakening, though I haven’t believed in God (or the churches version of God) since I was 15. I’ve been trying to start meditating. One day while meditating, I was thinking of my mom and missing her. I was frustrated because nothing was happening to me with meditation. I didn’t feel any difference. While meditating that day, I made a plea to my mom. “If you’re really there show yourself to me”. My family kept seeing owls at weird instances in our lives after our mom died. I wasn’t the only one. When I asked my mom to show herself to me, an owl showed up at my house that week, perched itself right about my meditation spot on my roof. And just stayed there for a bit while I marveled at it. That, to me, was a synchronicity.
God is always talking to us, we just forgot how to listen. It's easier to dominate others than to have self mastery. Well done Mr. Kennedy! As a recovering addict, freedom is more euphoric than any artificial high.

My mother used to bring me to AA meetings with her. I've never been a drinker. Even though I wasn't an alcoholic, just hearing other people's experiences kept me away from it. Good luck on your journey. No Saint without a past. No sinner without a future.

I just got caught into watching and listening to RFK jr. His testimony is incredible. We need this man in government. Real people that are honest and want the best for themselves and others. I was in a moment of complete dispair with my anxiety and depression before i started listening. Its an emotion addiction. Im so happy i found his inferviews, the synchronicity part hits. I didnt even end up watching the interviews until i saw the movie miracle from heaven...I was rejecting god in me and others. I really hope to back into alignment. Thanks for having him on!

Can't even front this interview thus far is better than any other one I seen form him including the rogan interview. That's because he shows humility. He shows a keen interest in things that show he's a true human being. He's upfront, he's honest, he's modest, he's humorous, he's given multiple different stories to his lifetime. This guy is really impressive.
I'll add another story. A relative of mine had an employee back in the early '80's who was on a plane to Rapid City, SD. A young man passed out alarming passengers and
flight attendants. When he regained consciousness they asked him what his name was and he said Bob Francis. He refused any further help. When the plane landed he
was met with a car and driver and off he went. My relative's employee recognized him as RFK JR. His mother's family has or had property in S. Dakota. He briefly recalls
this story in his book "American Values".
Mind blown; what experiences this guy has had. I told myself after being deceived by Bernie Sanders that I'd never vote again. I may need to go back on that now.

Love it. I have had some amazing synchronistic experiences myself . I love that he is so open about his past and his conquering some very hard addictions through his will power, his introspections, and his ultimate belief in God.
So many could find solace and hopefully freedom from addiction through his honesty and his willingness to share his own struggles. I so respect this man. He can identify with all walks of life as he too has suffered greatly throughout his life.
I have to stop reading through these comments for a second and just say that people are writing truly honest and insightful thoughts about the testimony RFKj has shared with us here. As someone pointed out, this is one authentic moment.
I bet all of us here and in the barbershop nodded at least once in recognition of something Bobby said. For me it was hearing him refer to a synchronicity as God's "tap on the shoulder". That's how I've always thought of the synchronicities that have happened to me.
This man is fearless. He is "What The World Needs Now". Like the song by Bacharach and David says, we don't need all that other stuff. We need the kind of love Bobby has for his country and for all of us in it.

Ah the good old Irish pledge, I forgot that I took that in school and I definitely didn't honour it and I did let addiction win for a time but then I had my own spiritual awakening that helped me let these ways of self harm go. Great to hear RFK remember these things though

Having participated in a 12 step program for the past 9 years, and experiencing a spiritual awakening, I can tell you this. A spiritual awakening is quite simply a " change in the way you think". There is nothing mysterious, kookie or weird about it. It's just a change in the way you think.
I changed from a cyinical, whiney, entitled jerk to a person with a grateful heart. It's been wonderful.
