My Dad served In the Royal Navy. Joined when he was 15 wanted to stay for a life long career, he loved it. Was on the carrier HMS.Eagle . He is 87 shortly. So proud of all our service men and women.
Good for you.
Forces are forces whether Army, Navy or Air Force. No comfort zone. Struggle everywhere irrespective of rank and status. I am an Indian, served Indian army for nearly three decades but impressed to watch this British forces video. Love and respect for everyone involved. Wish everyone a great carrier ahead.
I’m so so proud of my boyfriend who is taking part in this ceremony, I can’t believe I’ve just seen him in this video, words can’t describe how amazing it feels seeing how far he’s gone in the Royal Navy
My late Grandfather fought in WW2 Canadian Navy, my Dad server in the Navy and also and my good friend went to Afghanistan twice..I am so proud of them !!!
I ask friends and acquaintances if I see them without a Poppy. ; Did you forget to donate or lose your poppy ?. Some are young and ignorant from parents who haven't taught them respect or appreciation of others. I also unfortunately noticed many new Canadians think Remembrance day is a custom for old Canadians..
A man I use to have respect for called it "Poppy day" and said while laughing ; "Why donate to people who died so long ago and the current solders who made a choice to join and no one forced them ?"
I mentioned "Les we forget" how terrible war is and to honour and remember the ones who have fallen and made sacrifices so we could live free..
He then suggested I donate instead to a dog rescue as he does in his home country "I wont mention the country"
The Canadian government needs to do more to educate young and new Canadians.
"Remembrance day is for all people who call themselves a Canadian"
@MrfairchapI don't think we should force people also, but the lack of understanding speaks volumes. Our new Liberal ways sure don't do much to educate ignorant people to honor our proud history with its many lessons of respect and responsibility for all to learn from... An educated citizen of this great history would always proudly wear a poppy... We have negated these values and some freedoms by having cancerous Trudeau type politics infect Canada..
Oh I am so happy this is happening so proud thinking of all that served and continue to including my beloved Husband
Thank you one and all who serve past present and future 🙏
GOD BLESSED The NAVY. ROYAL NAVY.
Happy memories of Whale Island, had the honour of representing the RN at the Cenotaph in 87 & 89, managed to 'squeeze' in a Field gun season with Pompey in 88 too...
Wow. He Is So PROUD.

Todos estos rituales y tonterias desaparecen podran ver los videos guardados de ellos si les apetece ...
Funny, you show them respect on this one day but by the state of the fleet or lack of one you, the lack of a fleet air arm and 2nd rate capital ships, you insult them and degrade their sacrifice every other day!
Would that assessment of "the lack of a fleet air arm and 2nd rate capital ships" include:
2 new 65,000 ton carriers?
Squadrons of F-35s one skippered by an RN Commander?
5 new OPV vessels (2 stationed in the Pacific)?
5 (soon to be 7) new Astute subs?
4 new Tide tankers?
A raft of major upgrades to every T23 and T45 ship?
Just remember the UK is the 3rd largest defence budget globally and the 2nd largest in NATO from which the Navy has done rather better than the Army or RAF.
@@1chish Ships run by the rule of four, to have a capability you require four of them so one can be; operating, one working up for operation, one working down from an operation and one in dry dock for maintenance, whether it’s destroyers, submarines or aircraft carriers. You can get away with 3 but it shortens the machinery and hull life by up to a third. So 2 is not enough.
65,000 tons, no catapults, not enough power to ever fit catapults which means it completely lacks the capability of operating AWAC’s and EWAC’s and reduces take off weight. Capable of carrying just 36 F-35B’s and up to 12 helicopters. So how do they stack up? Terribly as it happens. In comparison to the USN who has 11 100,000 ton nuclear CATOBAR carriers and 3 out of 11 light carriers ordered, a 50,000 tons STOVL capable of carrying 20 F-35B’s, 7 amphibious warfare ships that can embark up to 12-18 F-35B’s. What about China? Well they’ve just launched their 90-100,000 ton CATOBAR carrier which is the final test design before mass production of the final design which will be the Type 004. Estimated airwing of 65 of which at minimum 36 fast jets plus AWAC’s and EWAC’s, drones and helicopters. What about France? Well the PANG is atleast 80,000 tons, Nuclear powered, CATOBAR carrier with an airwing similar to the Type 003 including the all important AWAC’s and EWAC’s.
So not only are our carriers over worked and overstressed due to not having enough, being so small and built so cheap but they’re also far less capable than our ally’s carriers, slight better than their light carriers, smaller, less advanced and less capable than our enemy’s carrier and smaller, cheaper, less capable, less advanced as our rivals carrier. This again is due to their lack of AWAC’s and EWAC’s but also the ski ramp reduces take off weight in exchange for shorter runway and lower speed take offs, so we can operate slight more sorties but range and munitions are severely reduced.
Then you have the fact that the Royal Navy operated just 7 of its own F-35’s, one more than half a squadron. Once, in the entire career of the class.
@@fightforaglobalfirstamendm5617 If you want to be taken seriously, maybe you should start by spelling "amendment" right.
I just wish the Royal Navy could rebuild to be the second most powerful Navy in the world. The UK has many tax dodgers in its overseas tax havens, an appropriate tax on these tax thieves would make the UK the richest country in the world. Tax them and build naval air and army power. Why do UK Government's fear these tax thieves and money launderers on Londongrad?
Thanks.
All taxes are a form of theft, enough said. We would be a super power if it wasn't for rip off Britain. It's no longer Great Britain but a Sadend Britain. Maximum respect to those who came before us and fell for our freedom's. I salute you whole heartedly.🕊💙
@@jamesblack1011 you look at the "The Spiders Web" before you make such I'll informed statements. The fact is the UK is the richest country in the world but because of deliberate and officially sanctioned tax theft it remains with a lot of hidden assets and funds which constrain public priorities.
@@etiangfrederick6257 I'm 42 I am British I have grafted most of my life and every penny spent or earned a portion is taken. Ill informed statement I think not.
@@jamesblack1011 sorry if I was so hard on you. I am an Anglophile and when I see the trillions kept of of public purview through the city of London it is simply mind blowing.
