Big Glue Book - “Courage”, And Fun Homemade Stencils

I'm new at this whole thing, so please forgive me...
My question is, why cover so much lovely marking work under lovely painted paper? Can't the portion being covered be excised and substituted with other blank or discard paper, so the marking artwork can be used in another project?
I understand layering but hate to see the covered work "wasted". It's all so beautiful 😊

Oh Christi! You are right. I should’ve made a photocopy of that doodle page first! Even though I have a ton of doodle pages, and enjoy creating more, I would have had a very nice black and white background paper if I had made a copy of it. Oh, well. I guess I’ll just have to make more…;-) Blessings, Liz.

Great page Liz. I love your stencils. I have to say, "Great minds think alike", because I am going to be making some of my own stencils soo as well. I love using stencils and masks but they are so expensive to buy considering they are just a sheet of plastic, right?!? 🩷🩷🩷
