INCREASE EGG PRODUCTION IN HENS-WHY ARE CHICKENS NOT LAYING EGGS-DIY CHICKEN FEED-BACKYARD CHICKENS
Join me today as I share with you an easy recipe to make a fantastic treat for your chickens.
This nutritious recipe can be used to complement your usual feed.
This recipe has all the ingredients and nutritional values your hens will need to increase egg production.

I just made my own version of the recipe, which is the one I’m sharing here today.
To make, you will need:
2 cups of mixed grains (spelt, buckwheat, barley, etc.);
1/4 cup of mixed seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.);
1/4 cup of quinoa;
1/4 cup of yellow split peas;
1/4 cup of dried chickpeas;
1/2 cup rolled oats;
1/2 cup of flaxseeds;
1/2 cup of wheat germ (optional);
1/2 cup of all purpose flour;
1 tsp of mixed herbs (thyme, rosemary, basil, etc.);
1 tsp of cinnamon;
2 eggs;
3/4 cup of molasses;
1/2 cup of melted coconut oil;
a few cloves of mashed garlic.
Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (or 356 degrees Fahrenheit).
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Make sure to mix well, so all dry ingredients are incorporated with the liquids.
Divide the mix into 2 pre-lined bread loaf pans, and bake for about 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven when the top is golden brown in colour and a cake tester or tooth pick comes out clean and dry after inserting it in the loaf.
Note: all ingredients are raw and uncooked.
