1970 was Elvis's best vocal and physical conditions of the 1970s fantastic powerful performances that year bridge over troubled water and just pretend where did they go lord etc his rich and powerful emotional voice of 1970 is untouchable make the world go away what a beautiful live performance the studio version is also fantastic that appears on Elvis country Elvis was at the peak of his legendary power in 1970 there's many version's of this fantastic song make the world go away but without a doubt Elvis owns it
Well, of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I feel Eddy Arnold owned this song. It was him, both vocally and emotionally. Just my opinion. Thank you.

No words, only it is Elvis. He is the G O A T
Hello from Luxembourg and stay safe
René
You know I seen Elvis Presley five times in concert. It was an experience that a person just never forgets. Your CZcams audience just isn't quite getting the full effect of what you're hearing through those headphones, when that man sang especially in person and when he belted out one of those notes that you were talking about it was like a force of nature that slammed right through your body. Absolutely undescribable.
âThat power that he came out withâ
âHis voice itâs larger than life.â
âWhat a Giftâ
âA True Giftâ
âYou canât learn that, you canât teach thatâ
âThatâs a God given Giftâ
âThis man he pours it out, he pours his heart outâ
âYou could just feel the pain coursing through his body relating to these wordsâ
âThe way that he feels the music itâs inspiring, it touches you.â
âUndeniable Talent, Undeniable Performanceâ
âThere are no words for how good that wasâ
âWhat a Serious Momentâ
âThe passion in himâ
âWhat a Passionate Personâ
âWhat comes through from him is so overwhelmingâ

The richness of the tone of his voice is so fine. Such a gift. He is gorgeous and the warmth that
he projects is instantly felt.
I been an Elvis fans since I was 8 years old, but now in my retirement years I have discovered more Elvis music than I knew existed. If I am stressed I put on this type of mellow Elvis and the stress disappears.
He wasn't even trying. And a nod to James Burton for the guitar magic.
That's called talent / experience it came so natural to him he will never be replaced there is no other singer that can perform like this he was a sad loss to the music world his voice still echos around my house
This song was a major hit For Country singer Eddy Arnold in the mid 60's. Elvis does a great version of this.
For some reason I always thought It was Ray Price. But youâre correct đ
@@hagfan78 Ray Price had a hit with it too.
He was a gifted artist! His passion was endless! Thank you Dani
I love your reaction to this great singer .wish more young people would listen to him. I'm 75 an love to listen to him.
Sometimes there are no words to describe what this wonderful and magical thing is. His voice penetrates the heart and shrinks it. I do not want to imagine what it is like to be in a live show and hear it. It completely melts you.
I commented a moment ago that I seen him five times in concert and every single time when he belted out one of them know that was nothing but a tidal wave of force of nature that would just blow you away. In a way that no other entertainer ever could.
@@garychurch938 that's awesome! To see him in concert , that must be unforgettable experience. Did you take pictures?
. I only felt is energy when I visited Graceland twice .
@@benjamins.5428 sorry it took so long to get back to you my apologies. Yes we took photos but none of them come out very well. And honestly photos are about the last thing on your mind when you're in a concert like that one or his concerts I should say. There was just nothing and still has never been nothing that quite compares do you actually sing in that man on stage in the power of that voice belting out throughout the room was absolutely incredible. The day I got married the birth of my first child the day I got my first really good job and drove my first car the day I kissed the first girl I really cared about they were all awesome, but just imagine all of that awesome feeling but on a whole different level for some reason. The way he can make people feel in a concert is just simply indescribable.
I can tell you this much from experience at one of his concert the whole world melts away.
People don't understand that Elvis had such such amazing voice I mean for a guy that's never had music lessons cuz he failed it he never had a teacher he did this all on his own his voice is amazing and what he can do with it
God given voice, was all he needed.
there aren't enough words to describe Elvis
Of course he failed it they had nothing to compare it to and would soon find there would never be nothing to compare it to, they simply didn't know how good it really was..
Dani Thursday wouldn't be the same without you thankyou thankyou verymuchđ
There is nothing that Elvis can't sing, everything he sings is flawless. Elvis is the greatest singer of all time. God put Elvis on this earth to bring joy to everybody.
He is so handsome and perfect and his voice is perfect.
He was passionate in real life ..very sensitive. It was easy to hurt his feelings. And he was a passionate, romantic lover.Thursdays are my fav
Glad someone else feels the same as I do about this song. I think it is one of his best. So much passion in this song! â€ïž
Elvis's Voice, Talent, Charisma, Handsome (good looks) and passion all on loan, from God!
Yes he had a gift, he was a vocal genius, but he was the gift. Right? Love you.
Dani: Feeling the pain is what makes this an incredible performance. This was powerful. Iâm glad you found this Elvis version of a classic country song. You did a perfect analysis. Interestingly, this performance did not make the final edit for the 1970 concert film from Las Vegas, âThatâs the Way It Is.â It is found on the outtakes. Your reaction perfectly reflects this great performance. Good morning on this TYVM Thursday!
Love, love, love this! Yes, you said it...his power of his voice is everything! When he sings ...you can feel the heaviness of the world on him!! Thank you for your beautiful reaction!

That was so powerful. It seems like he might have been singing that to his Mother, since she was the only person who could take his pain away and truly make him feel safe.
Hey Dani !! There is no one in the world I would rather spend Thursdays with then you and Elvis !!!! I totally loved your reaction to this ! What can I say God broke the mold when He created Elvis !!!!!
No words to express how talented, charasmatic, beautiful and special Elvis was - just the best, greatest entertainer of all time. No-one comes close - not the Beatles, Not Michael Jackson, Not Frank Sinatra - just NO-ONE can compete with this special man. Witnessed by the fact that 44 years after his death he is as popular as ever, millions visit Graceland every year. He is dead now two more years than he was alive and still he is THE KING and always will be. Cannot think of any other performer or group who after so long is still loved and adored by millions. Enough said!!!!!!!
'Overwhelming'. That's such a great word describing Elvis voice and performances. I LOVE seeing how passionately you feel when hearing him, he's been tearing out my soul for 55 years, since I was 5!
Yes thanks to you Thursday's are definitely my favorite day of the week

Dani,
This clip was on the cutting room floor from 1970 until they put it on Elvis : the lost performances vhs in 1992. I bought it when it came out. I was 6 years old in Kmart.
Elvis.com.au is the best Elvis website ever. They have pictures of him from almost every performance and day from his career and whole life, and his whole family. Also the new book Elvis : destined to die young. You will learn that Elvis was very sick his whole career . I read everything about him on my lifetime and that book really shines new light and perspective on how he was not trying to self destruct but trying to survive. It's sad to know we would of lost Elvis with or without the drug abuse at a fairly early age. Just getting things straightened out for ppl that think he self destructed due to drugs and over eating unhealthy foods.
I love Gentle on my mind by Elvis
Yes!!! I think she would
love his version...
Fantastic Dani, loved the reaction video thanks.
Dani, your Elvis Lip Curl is really coming along nicely! Plus, I love Thursday...it's Dani Day!

Thursday is my favorite Dani day of the week!
Do tomorrow never comes. He had the best musicians in the world
Brilliant Dani and inspired choice. Originally seen in the Lost Performances. The studio master was recorded in Nashville on 7 June 1970 and would be the closing number on the 'Elvis Country' album.
Performed by Elvis for the very first time, during the dinner show of 13 August 1970, show six of the engagement, it's inclusion was for the benefit of MGM who were filming during production of "That's The Way It Is". Ironically however, no footage from a show which contained several one off performances for the benefit of filming was included in the final edit of the original 1970 version of the movie.
Another good performance showing Elvis' singing could be both powerful and tender. Unlike The Next Step Is Love from opening night, this song seems to work almost as well live as in the studio, with wonderful guitar accompaniment by James Burton.
Love thank you very much Thursday, watching someone enjoy Elvis is always a treat
I always enjoy your TYVM thursdays . Elvis ' pure vocals came out on this song . It was his deep harmonious expression that really brought out this song . And also your a joy to watch . Thank you !
I have never heard Elvis's version, but I am sure it was worth watching. However, seeing Eddy Arnold live spoiled me for any other version. Sorry!
I just started watching you 3 days ago and I am really enjoying your channel! You have a beautiful voice and your so sweet. I am a huge fan of Elvis so Iâm really enjoying your reactions to him. God truly blessed him with a beautiful voice!

Thursday love!!!
You donât have to say anything Dani thereâs no one comes close to this manâs GOD given voice!! Iâve lived through those glorious years with this manâs singing and acting! Iâm so thankful I had the chance to be a part of this worldâs phenomenon! Only Jesus Christ ranks above him ( of course Elvis said many times in his performances that Jesus is the King not him! ).
68-70 his voice was very powerful and still had grit in it. His voice became smoother after those years. He had a smooth voice with grit when needed, but he grew into a more refined as time went on. Every step of the way he was awesome!
I love your Elvis reaction videos. He was absolutely the best performer who has ever lived. I sure do miss him!
Saw him live in his prime around that time he is still the man in 2021 nobody even close glad to see you youngins seein how good he was đ
Love him, no matter what he sings. Love Thank you very much Thursday. And love your critiques on Elvis. I love him singing this song. It used to belong to a country singer named Eddy Arnold, back in the day. But Elvis puts himself all over it and letâs that awesomeness sometimes ooze out and other times gives it all his emotion right from the start. He will never be forgotten, with that awesome God given talent.
Thank you, Thank you very much for doing this video.*Curling my lip like Elvis*

Iâd seen another had suggested the song âTomorrow Never Comesâ from his 1970 Album âElvis Countryâ âI Am 10,000 Years Old.
Fantastic album! In my opinion his best, being that it was recorded during the time period of âThatâs The Way It Isâ.
Critics call it his âconcept albumâ as each song on the album is segued by the song âI Was Born About 10,000 Years Agoâ.
Nice sofa/room you react from Dani đđđ wonderful song..
Great reaction, Dani. I truly believe singing was therapy for Elvis. It's how he "unloaded". Please react to "And I Love You So" by Elvis. There are several versions on you tube (different takes) but the best one is from his album "Today". I know you'll love it!
Ive read that on some songs the weight in his mind was often real for different reasons sometimes personal sometimes professional - like this song inside he would liken it to the weight literally on his own shoulders of just maintaning his career as Elvis and the toll that pace took on his health - Elvis maintained a hard pace doing two shows a night in Vegas 6 - 7 nights a week for like ten years, plus rehearsals, touring and studio recording when not playing Vegas etc. In conversations about his health at times people around him would tell him to take some serious time off from his demanding schedule and rest, but Elvis would say "I cant just stop performing, theres too many people on the payroll that depend on me I cant do that to them, I cant just let them go" - imagine the weight of all that as a performer, and Elvis had to take pills to keep his energy level up, something that in the end would have a bad effect on his health. I wish I could remember where I read this but imagine the massive amount of employees needed to keep an Elvis show going not only in Vegas but on tour, every time they moved to another city it means moving everything and every body just like any big show. I remember a video documentary from back in the Elton John era and it took something like 20+ semi's a plane and numerous support vehicles to move the entire show each time they went to a different city.
Thanks Dani - yes, I love Thursdays for your Elvis reactions! There are a couple that I like from his Aloha From Hawaii concert that I haven't see you react to. Would love to see you check out It's Over and I'll Remember You.
Thanks for doing this song the KING of music without a shadow of a doubt, he will be the only one to ever have all his soul in his music. He just has that it factor like you said can never be taught.
Love TYVMT.Itâs nice to see you get all bright eyed and bushy tailed.lol Music was easy for Elvis but he would be nervous and joke. Then bam!he would turn it on.
God given talent is correct Dani! Keep up the great work my friend. Peace and success to you.
Love thank you very much đ
Elvis, from the start, always had style in how he enunciated certain words, and in this song, I love how he sings the word remember in the line that goes,"do you remembuh!"
"Dani Thursday"!
-you said it all, I have nothing to add (for once).
Amazing reaction, Dani! I love Elvis Presley Thursday's with you.
Thank ya, thank ya vury much!. đ.
Thank you so much!!
Hi Dani, I have to believe that this song in particular was one he certainly internalized as I'm sure that at this point in his career/life there was a ton of pressure constantly trying to live up to the image of being the "King"... That said, the fact was and is, he WAS. Thanks for sharing this one, as it's been a while since I've felt the raw power and emotion he graced us all with.
I had to watch this one more time. You get Elvis. You connect with Elvis. Welcome. Itâs a great experience. Iâve been enjoying it since 1973! I was three. đ.
Elvis gives me goosebumps every time. Love your reaction
Thursday is my favorite day.
Check out the below link. This is the rehearsal for the 1970 film that you just watched footage of. The concert was in August of 1970. The link below is a release of Thats The Way It Is- Rehearsalâs. This is Elvis at his very best. Just raw power. Itâs amazing how his rehearsals are more powerful than some of his concerts. This song starts at about the 51 minute mark, maybe. But, all of those songs are fantastic.
One other note, at the end of Make The World Go Away, you can hear Elvis say something about blowing his lungs out a couple of months prior. Elvis is referencing his Nashville Marathon, which produced some of his most powerful music.
Let us know what you think!

Elvis delivering his thunder. Too bad the orchestra couldnât keep up with him at times during this song.
You missed when he gave Ronnie Tutt a sign to hit the drums harder the next time and when he did, Elvis swung around and was laughing. Tutt always could get Elvis going.
When you get the chance, try out Love Song of the Year. It was written while the writer was in high school and somehow Elvis came across it. It is really a hidden gem.

You're reaction to his raspy, passionate, belting gets me every time. I know its coming, so I wait to see your expression. Absolutely love it
I'm glad there's someone that appreciates elvis music enough to devote one day out of the week for it.
This was a hit for Eddy Arnold who was managed by illegal immigrant colonel tom parker. Once he saw Elvis, he dropped eddy arnold like a bad habit and became Elvis manager. Elvis never really knew the Colonel had secrets and couldn't go overseas. That's why Elvis performed overseas except for one time in Montreal. CA in 57. If the Colonel left this country he would not be able to come back. He held a secret over Elvis' head and Elvis never understand why he wouldn't let him go overseas. I have a lot of I sight thru my life of learning about these musicians and they're backstorys.
