Well you know the thing is . Someone will always say an elder of theirs told them this or that and seeing as everyone had their own say on it being Huia or Hua then one cannot assume that they are right unless there is evidence to prove it .At the end of the day our ancestors passed all their info on to where even today sadly we're all confusing one another and bickering over which word is the right one. I am a proud manihikian therefor good on you all for sharing but seriously just enjoy .
Just to mention HUIA is the correct word.. HUA is actually not the word the actual meaning of the word HUA is a man'sz private part and that is a Penrhyn word ! HUA is often thrown around as a way of "Teasing" between an older brother and his younger brother or an older cousin (boy/guy) and/or a younger cousin (boy/guy) !
