    Definitely the most well rounded chiropractor I’ve seen. He didn’t focus on manual readjusting only. He incorporated stretches directly after to help the muscle relax and get used to the new alignment. I’ve never seen any other chiropractor use this tactic.

    This was the level of scoliosis I had when I was a child. By the time I was twelve I was a twisted goblin and got bullied and mocked constantly. My mother was advised by an orthopedic surgeon to have a series of operations that could take years, and might still leave me crippled due to scar tissue. Luckily, I was introduced to a chiropractor who made it disappear in three visits! It's been 46 years now and it has not returned.

    • @AdrianDrott
      @AdrianDrott Před 2 lety +34

      So true, I also have scoliosis. Not severe however. It cannot be "fixed" without surgery if you've finished growing. Chiropractic's will more than often damage the spine rather than heal it when someone with scoliosis turns to them for help. I advise anyone with scoliosis to not turn to chiropractic but rather get a medical assessment and physiotherapy.

    Poor choice of words for the title, unfortunately Scoliosis or any crooked bone can't be fixed by simply pushing, pulling and cracking your back, it's a lot more complex than that, in some cases not even surgery can fix it,
    if you're under the age of 18 (when bones haven't completely solidified yet) there's a special harness you can wear for around 8 hrs a day for 2 to 3 years that can straighten your spine up to almost normal (depending on the severity of your case),
    chiropractic adjustments can provide some temporary (and much needed) relief of the symptoms (pain and discomfort) but it can't fix your crooked spine

That combined with a fractured L2 in my 20s and then a Disc Bulge in my 40s has left me in daily pain and discomfort. It used to just be my back that hurt but since the disc bulge after an accident on a trampoline I've ended up with stiffness, pain and reduced mobility in my lower neck. I go to a local Osteopath who's very good but its a short appointment and only deals with the one problem area. I was diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis at 8 years old. I was told that my case was very severe and I had to wear a brace for 2 years. At 10 years old, I had a Harrington rod put in. Somehow it broke at age 13 & I went in for a another surgery. My parents were told that if I didn't have the surgery, I would suffocate myself (my spine would eventually fold over and collapse my lungs) by age 14.

    Its called a functional scolioses. Its because the body trys to find a posture to take of the pressure of the hernia. On the other hand adjusting with a hernia is very dangerous and should never be done. So i think the hernia is already gone or operated.

    • @ghermanrazvan5880
      @ghermanrazvan5880 Před 2 lety

      You are making a mistake over there. First of all, not all disc herniations need surgery, actually there is a very small percent that actually need to go under surgery.
      Second, chiropractic or any other therapies ( osteopathy, mobilisations) combined with physical therapy can provide a lot of relief for a high percentage of patients.
      I'm not saying chiropractic is the key for all disc herniations but it sure can provide relief where the chiro knows how and when to do his job.
      All the best and may you never experience the pain of a disc herniation 🙏
