    Fellow reseller here. Learned something about a different resale market.
    Tip: the credo that has paid off the most for me in resale: "touch each item as few times as possible." This is meant to save time. Organize while you clean instead of making it a separate step. Even better if grab like 30 5g buckets and organize from the pond. Make these the same container you fill with the water/bleach mix. So much time burned with unnecessary transfers/steps. Less time = more money per hour.

      I used to be a furniture mover and we had a similar rule to make sure we could always get it done in a day. "Never pick something up twice if you don't have to" from the house straight to the truck in the stack. Organizing inside the truck can kill the whole day

    The St Andews and Palmer balls will be elastic bands inside, they are freaky when you but one in half. As a kid all the balls were like that and they split a lot more often in play, they would bulge out on one side, disintegrate off the tee etc.

    I met a guy at a Bob Evan’s countertop many years ago. Started talking to him and it turned out he was diver that would retrieve golf balls out of lakes at golf courses. So, I made a deal with him, I would buy every golf ball he brought me for $.10 a piece. I was buying them by the thousands. I started selling them in batches of 100 on eBay. Made okay money, but the dollars/hour made it not lucrative enough to continue the effort. Was a fun experience though. Keep it up boys, you never know where this will lead you!

    Years ago when I was young, I used to collect golf balls and what we used to clean them we found a old concrete mixer, a portable one and we put some rubber brushes in it. If I remember right, we use like the big broom brushes and of course we put our chemicals in there to clean themand we could do thousands of them at a time and they came out very very good. Just thought I’d put that at ya.

    My daughter has just started a golf ball collecting business...so will definitely share this channel with her. When you clean the balls, I notice you soak them in water and some bleach and then clean them with a cloth....do you also clean off any custom markings that have been written on a ball (initials etc) with like a magic marker or texta? If so, I would be curious to know what you use to get these markings off because simply soaking them in water with bleach them cleaning with a rag doesn't seem to remove these markings. Thanks

      Lots of recreational golfers have no idea of the different types of balls they play as long as they’re fairly new..

    • @aaronsmith927
      @aaronsmith927 Před 6 měsíci

      @@Tom-ok2rh This has nothing to do with the brand or the model. When a ball sits in the mud or under-water, it soaks up a bunch of water.
      A golf ball is supposed to weigh 1.62 ounces. When they sit in the water for too long their weight can balloon up over 2 ounces.
      They can even start growing mold inside which will eat and degrade the rubber core. They feel awful off of the club.
      If you handed me two identical looking balls, but one is waterlogged, I can probably tell you which is which just by feeling the weight.
      I can DEFINITELY tell you which is which once I hit them both. A water-logged ball has a dull "thunk" or "thud" sound instead of the "crack" of a fresh ball.
