I was pretty psyched once I saw pSyk's review, but after owning the thing for a few days I'm very impressed. Except the demolisher missile thing, screw that.

they made a longshot...actually thought about it...and......gave us a usable front gun....nerf...you did good
"just another magazine that's just gunna sit in this box and it's never going to be used" lmao lemme get them
Stick a Demolisher stock on that extra stock point for missile ammo storage.
But you need the stock point for the original missile launcher-
@@AleksandarGoleminov I don’t think he thought of that lmao
I know I will appreciate the base blaster when I get this, but damn, I've never seen someone who likes the base blaster and not the attachments, except for some YT commenter I found.
For hasbro how to get free money. Repaint tri-strike blue, add long strike barrel, and finally add in a thunderstorm in blue minus the lighting bolt. Also this may be pushing it but finally making a clear banana mag and packaging it with the things described in this comment
Holt shit dude why is this not a thing???!!! We all need to keep calling Hasbro until they listen to us and produce it!
Trent Hallett I mean it would be hasbro's equivalent to the wii when it came out, it would just get them shitloads of cash
Gucci Gustavo that makes since how the tri-strike is preaty mucha longstrike Reskin (or at least I think so)
LogantheSlayer 1
No.
They need to add a detachable rough cut to the modules line
That would be pretty damn heavy for a Nerf attachment.
Mikey Mouser yes but it will also wreck shop
Maybe a mini rough cut
+DOX Nerfs like only 4 shots?
No, that would be too overpowered.
my little brother likes the missile thing, he's not strong enough to prime springers so air and flywheel blasters are good for him!
2:28 who else had a recon mkll in their hands and thought: 'shit.'
I want that front piece for my Rayven, I hate the balance in it and that would fix things in style.
on a rayven? to me that will very weird
+Tyler Mai Not wierd, it would add flexibility when using it. I mean you mod a rayven to be real snappy with rev times to fire as fast as you can pull the trigger and you can use the mega HAMP to clean up anything you miss without needing to take your hand away.
i meant to say it might LOOK weird but it might actually balance out the rayven
This thing took far too long to show up. I was the first to post about it's amazon availability and yet I was the last to get this thing.
do you think the stock attachment/rocket launcher
could fit a titan tank and a pump and make it an easy power mod?
You did God's work, dear Wally. Heroes must always go through trials ;)
I think you could mod some pieces and a mega centurion to make a mega modulus! I believe in you!
y'know, the missile attachment allows people to add a stock point to ANY blaster
+xSilverMC oh
i had a great idea! you cold mount the tri strike missile launcher to the side rail of the demolisher and then you have 2 missiles! 😏
they gave a straight magazine because other magazines might collide with the barrel attachment that comes with it
No, surprisingly all mags fit even with all of its attachments
Emphasis on "might"
if you don't want those mags, you can send them to me XD I like magazines
Integrate a air tank into the missile stock, and shorten the tubing.
the enthusiasm is real ..... its its over 9000 e
4:07 thats my go to magazine ur talkin about, and yes i got it from a TRI-STRIKE.
Please intedrate an airblaster into that missile-launcher part, that would be awesome
That gun would be amazing for a secondary in my usual load-out.
The biggest blockade in modding is the breech. It does not close fully. That basically prevents any kind of full length brass breech. Stefans probably can still work around it.
I am EXTREMELY pleased with the MEGA HAMP. Fantastic ranges and I've found that any "misfires" results from bad loading, bad darts or poor pump execution on my part so practice makes perfect with it.
Now I just need a custom stock that holds MEGA darts.
I also want a custom bolt for the prime. Like a screwdriver with a screw on cap on the other end.
Lady Luck smiled on me on the 25 June 2020 while on an after errands impromptu Nerf treasure hunt at the Salvation Army thrift store here in Guam, USA...a white Retaliator with a 25-rd drum...Tri-Strike stock (but w/no tube and no launcher)...and the Tri-Strike front end...they gave it to me for $2.00...big smile on my face on the drive home
You could reconfigure the rocket-launcher attachment so that it uses pressurized air instead of the pump. The included hose could then be connected to an air tank housed in a modified stock of some kind, with a bike pump to re-pressurize...
That Tri-Strike rocket launcher? I've got some plans for that critter... hook it up to a Drain Blaster and turn it into a missile-firing wizard's staff. Even got a name for my hypothetical creation- "The Staff Of Bombos."
In my opinion, I think the hamp missile launcher isn't as terrible as you say, but its not good on the tri-strike. the stock is a good length, and it's comparable to the demolisher launcher. if you have a blaster that has a side rail, it's a decently accurate extra shot. If you have a few missiles, it's a good 'artillery'. you can launch them from a decent distance, and I've been tagged out by the rockets as medic in some of the games with RFDL. I too have the tri-strike, and if you have enough rockets, and the attachment on a different blaster, I think it's worth it.
I love the tri strike was the first new blaster i bought after my rapidstrike and my only problem is that you only get one missle with it
YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH I WANT THIS BLASTER
The missile launcher and regulator go together great.
I use mine on the recon MK2 because it has a side rail. Basically if it has a side rail and stock mount it will go well
Just found one with everything but the mag and darts at a value village, thanks for convincing me to buy it walcom!
I put the Mega dart barrel attachment (and the Demolisher missile launcher too) on my Modulus instead. Then i cut off the Tri-Strikes tactical rail and fitted it with a homemade top slide so i can use it as a backup
The point of the stock is to absolutely wreck something trying to Melee you with a shield
I put this on my Christmas list. I’m praying that I get it. oh boy is this gun good.
Tanks 4 making le videos i just recently just got back into nerf so thanks for helping me get more into it.
You know you can open up the airway for the demolisher missile attachment to improve it. If you look closely you may see some ridges where you insert the missile. Get rid of them and the performance improves
I made my retaliator bolt action
Theinternetover9000 want a Nobel prize?
ordered mine wednesday just got it today finally a bolt prime new blaster looking forward to your mod video on the tri strike
Hey Walcom, have you tried the mega hamp on a rayven?
It's perfect.
Don't know why you love this so much. The body is too long because the plunger cannot extend out into that silly HAMP stock like it would otherwise do in a Retaliator or EAT.
The mag release slide is too far for the main hand to reach, but at the same time it is ergonomically unintuitive to release it with the off hand. If it's a lever action mechanism then it's much easier, but having to slide it outwards with the thumb is awkward.
Bolt action is good for stock or lightly upgraded springs. But once you throw in 7, 8 or 9kg springs, it becomes awkward to prime. And creates a lot of pressure and torque on the boltsled. Not sure how well the plastic will hold up under such stress, especially will rough and rapid slam fire priming. In such instances, even the much hated top priming of the Retaliator is better, as it pulls the boltsled backwards with uniform force of both sides.
All in all a pretty average blaster.
I actually cut the demolisher launcher off and put a small screw in the bottom slide and it is a comfortable stock
I can see the rocket launcher part redone as a Nerf blunder buss with that lock set up you described.
"I want to use this thing so badly it's not even funny" *Proceeds to throw it on the table*
I can't help but think that when Hasbro made the stock missile launcher, they were just begging for more combos videos. Either way, I plan on buying the f*ck out of this. Muchas Gracias, Senor Fuzzy Walrus.
about the 10 rounds magazine ... the modulus 10 rounds curve magazine doesn't go with the mega barrel attachment ... and the 12 straight one would have been too long to fit good in the global shape of the blaster. further more, I personnaly use this 10 round straight magazine with my slingfire .... 60% more ammo for only 30% more length compare to the 6 rounds magazine which go with this zombies blaster ... and also about the look, it's a better deal than a 12 rounds magazine nor a 10-rounds-curve-one which i find too long .... and i can carry more on me ...
so this 10 rounds magazine has got many avantages and is not a nonsense for me !
Put a expanded XBZ tank in it and the pump from the rapid madness with a blast button in the bottom of the stock attachment point and a trigger on the stock's grip that presses on the blast button when connected.
dude haven't you seen mag12s mod guide for the tri strike the rocket thing has great range once you remove the front piece with a drill
One thing cool about the internals is that the boltsled has more material, making it stronger than a longshot/longstrike in terms of adding a higher spring load.
I have one and it is my favorite
i made my tri strike into a pump action killer with a retaliator barle and grip and some arecter sets with (a metal building set)
I wish the demolisher missile launcher had an air tank. That and the locking multi-position stock would make it well worth it. 'Sides that, good review. I do think that mega hamp might be a flywheelers best friend, a great "OH CRUD!" Shot.
If you strip out the orange part in the tube it gives it more power
"I can throw a football better than that, and I don't football" walcoms7
Hasbro will see this and make a 20 dart straight mag. C'mon, mystical prediction powers.
So glad I just picked up the one that was posted on Nerf Buy/Sell/Trade. Not only was it only the core blaster (the only part I want), but also the stormtrooper blaster stock and the modulus suppressor barrel extension. So pumped to check it out when it arrives, your video only made me more excited for it.
I was rocking out to the song in this video.
This was about the only thing I was looking forward to (well that and the Double Dealer... we'll move on) from this current line (Hyperfire and Mastodon are cool but I do in fact prefer springers). There's nothing not to love about this. The missile is a little weak but as a stock and a last ditch shot it's ok. That front attachment makes running a dual ammo system worth it, Fear the Red/Blue (or whatever color your elite dart shooter is) Loadout!
That main blaster though...... it's what dreams are made of... with a 35 drum for the lulz it's a 6x Strongarm. So dreamy.....
I like the 10 round magazine personally
Pump kit coming up....I feel it
"I don't football." Man of my own heart.
This seems like it was made for wars with brutes or an equivalent class that require special ammo or more shots to defeat and different ammo had different values for shots like elites are 1 megas are 2 missiles are 4 etc.
On the front attachment there is a small air hole behind the last barrel. Other then that there's not much I would do with it.
Hey, don't hate on the Desolator. That's the only flywheel blaster I ever want to touch after my brassed (For Elite fit) Tommy Twenty!
My tri-strike sucks...
Hear me out: it jams unless I use fresh darts and It refuses to fire unless I put the bolt in the forward position and give it a good push.
When it was new I loved it and used it a lot...
Could it wear out?
Or is it a lemon?
I really really like where your going with this
Very clever
if they made the stock and rocket launcher an airtank everybody would have loved it. just imagine the possibilities, rail mounted grenade/rocket/shotgun/anything pre-made with a pump housed in a stock.
So when are you converting the Mega barrel attachment into a shotgun?
Agreed, nice review too!
Gavin is working on a pump action for this.
Could you somehow add a pump grip to the launcher and make some sort of blunderbuss as a separate gun?
Hey, at least a 10 round mag is better than a 6. But yeah, idk why 10 rounders exist when 12s arent much longer
I will put a retaliator fore-grip on my retaliator prime to make it better
Great video! Maybe thi could have a mini air tank pump extra shot? Could you please make a mod guide on this?
Be happy u get something else instead just mega thing and a blaster
just take the attachments from the modulus and put them on the sawed off longstrike body, and put the mega dart on the underside of the modulous as an under barrel grenade launcher.
sorry meant to put the rocket launcher as the under-barrel grenade launcher (refrence to Demolisher.)
I want to get this just cuz of the bolt action sniper idea. Buuuuuuut... The raunchy ideas with the demolisher round that swim around my head.... So tempting. Bah ha ha ha ha!
It is on par with the retaliator same ranges
the mag really far forward on a "compact" blaster is stupid, just made a sidepriming retaliator with slamfire
Great review! Too bad I probably won't be able to grab one for a while (That Double Dealer wasn't cheap). I'm going to have to disagree with you on the Desolator, I think since it looks cool it should get a pass (granted I am biased and don't have a Stryfe, so...)
walcoms7 quote 2016" and I don't football"
give this man a mediator
then what was the point of complaining about the magazine
With the mag well at the front of the gun, and your preference for a pump or bolt action over a top slide prime, how do you imagine a pump action on a TriStrike to work? Seems like the only space left for it would be to turn it into a top prime...unless you either remade the body to move the mag well back, or hand the pump sticking out the front and taking the space for the mega launcher attachment
All i would add to it is a side rail. I want to put the missile HAMP onto a recon mkII and put a demolisher stock on the back of that lol
the only part of this I actually wanted was the stock/launcher.
I assume the demolisher missile thing is crap because the tube adds a lot of dead space. seems like it could be a lot better after modding and shortening that thing, but then that limits compatibility..
someone needs to make this pump action
Really positive review
Those Retaliator barrels in the background look very familiar. Are those from Mr. Bullpup? Also, I highly recommend getting a Demolisher. I usually hate drums, but they are perfect in the Demolisher.
They sell it with low cap mags because if they didn't nobody would but higher cap mags.
Id prefer to use the demolisher rocket stock instead of a demolisher's missile launcher just for reasons
I actually like the top prime on Retaliators
'GRUUUUUHGG' -Walcom 2016
dude the demolished missile launcher doesn't have to be good shoot a thunderblast some time and you'll see you saved big bucks
To make the tri-strike better I would take away something instead of add. That wire is too long your losing a lot of power from the stick
Yay he thinks like me! (AKA he loves the tristrike)
Wait... A slam-fire sniper-style blaster? I've seen one of those before in real firearms... -huehue VSS Vintorez huehue-
But anyway, I have 2 loadouts in consideration.
Sniper
Retaliator Barrel
Stockade Stock
Centurion Bipod
Modulus ECS-10 scope (I ADORE the scope.)
6 dart -clip- magazine
CQB
Spectre Stock
Pinpoint Sight (stoked about the fact I can use the sight and not have it interrupt my prime)
12 dart flip -clip- MAGAZINE
Is it greedy to wish for hammer prime clip fed blaster? Eagerly looking forward to this blaster though. My thoughts are to modify the stock with pvc or doll rods to make it a solid stock, remove the hose and the rocket launcher.
its quite a nice piece and quite beefy
you should mod the front gun to shoot 4 elites at a time
WalcomS7 could you put the recon mkII grip on the tri-strike? It would put the best part of the recon mkII on the amazing tri-strike. Just an idea.
Have you considered putting an extension spring in the H.A.M.P. stock?
I think that would improve it's accuracy and consistency quite a bit.
It would also kind of turn the stock in to a limbless bow.
Nope, sorry it needs a proper pump action and a Rampage one at that. A third part kit is not a solution either as the there is unnecessary space between the grip and the mag.
i got the demolisher rocket part at a goodwill for $1.50
