    3) Maggie's Farm
Love it when Bob realizes Willie is on-stage. Also, how bad-ass that Bob comes out and plays three (of five total) new songs from "Empire Burlesque" instead of just playing "hits?!" [Olof shows Bob playing 5 songs...the three above were broadcast].
    Long live Howie.
    Bring back Stan.

Bob is so in his element on "The Border Line " one of his more Rock songs and boy does Bob deliver ; the lyrics and quitar playing are equal to his fantastic singing . I think if Hank Williams would have lived longer he'd have been the icon or close to Bob for as many years. Bob is an inventor and changer of music . Hank Williams is the only one I can even see as being that much ahead of his time . There will never be another Shakespeare or Bob Dylan , God Bless them forever !

This is one of the most electrifying performances, live, that I've seen from Bob Dylan! I still don't quite have the chemistry between himself and the two women, figured out...and, truthfully, it's none of my business. Dylan always does a remarkable show. However, I have to say, all in good faith, as a positive criticism, I feel he and his group snubbed Willie Nelson, who is the man behind Farm Aid, and who has been willing to help new performers get more exposure by singing with them, helping them make connections...break the ice, so to speak. Plus, Dylan didn't do the songs that Willie had expected him to do, making it all but impossible for Willie to jam with the band. Bob made and error in judgement, as we all do, and I'm sure he and Willie and Dylan will work together again.

Farms still need aid. Bob is singing through a Sure 57. The woman in the striped animal zebra shirt is Bob's ex-wife or wife.

Madelyn Quebec. the girl in the black and white jacket is her daughter Carolyn Dennis, who married Bob 9 months later.
Bob obviously a smart man, keeping in with his future mother in law here. Somewhat ironic that hes singing ;if you want somebody you can trust, trust yourself' right in her face!

Ah someone in the comments knows more than me. Heard of glamorous grannies but this is a very glamorous mother in law. By then a glamorous granny too. When they got married I left Ireland. Headed to Liverpool first. Looked after mentally ill and alcoholic men. Had just dropped out of a PhD at QUB. Decided as I couldn’t look after mad drunk men in the music industry, might as well do it for the ex sailers and ex tailors in Liverpool. A lot of Irish there. There were four of us running the mad place. All for no money. I got so overdrawn there endlessly buying cigarettes for everyone. Don’t think there was a single non smoker and i was an easy touch. Three of us workers ended up sleeping with two out of the three other workers both male and female. The other one a Spanish git called Jose, kept telling me I couldn’t speak good English and swore too much and should be more ladylike. Which meant I swore even more. Eventually he assaulted me in the kitchen. The boss said maybe I’d hit myself jfc. He loved Jose. Jose whose English obviously was shite as he’d been in England a while two months at the time, kept telling me that water was pronounced wah tur. Not how me n Van grew up pronouncing it. I was the worst lesbian ever. A kind of rag doll lesbian. I’d no desire whatsoever to do anything to another woman. But I wasn’t averse to seeing what a woman could do for me. For about three days. Then I felt obligated to say it wasn’t for me and then the full force of female fury descended on me. Any free time which wasn’t much, I spent in all night lock-ins with Liverpudlians of Irish descent who saw me as one of their own. A feeling which got stronger the longer we all stayed in the pub waiting for the dawn. And I got obsessed naturally with the song Wasted Days and Wasted Nights for more personal reasons now looking back. They were nice people in the pub and in the hostel. In this men’s hostel was Chris who was a woman who thought she was a man and no less a man than Elvis Presley. The other men were hugely ‘progressive’ in that they ‘accepted’ Chris ‘as a man’ mainly cos Chris did all their feckin washing and looked after them all. Chris’ room was a shrine to Elvis. Elvis fuckin curtains and bedspreads n tee shirts and pictures everywhere and Chris even let us call her the king ffs. Chris also was in a ‘relationship’ with a woman called Dorothy who was somewhere out there. In order for Chris to connect with Dorothy, we had to let her phone Dorothy from the office phone every other night. We never saw Dorothy. Chris was probably talking to the speaking clock for all I know. The conversation was generally brief and usually consisted of it’s me babe, I’m gonna see ya next weekend, love ya, the king loves ya, did u hear me on Liverpool radio last Saturday morning? Etc. Chris sounded and looked like Elvis in any era about as much as I look and sound like Rupert feckin Murdoch. When they got fortnightly money, it was mayhem. Those who could go out then did and fell out of black cabs several hours later at the door and had to be put to bed or they didn’t come home at all when the pubs b clubs shut so you had to sit up half the night phoning AnE departments n police stations to find out where they’d got to. Fuckin wild. Then sobriety for another fortnight.
