Guys... seems like everyone was happy and excited when ema said that we should speak meiteilon than what about "all are very excellent and thank you" isn't an English language??? In my opinion manipur consist of different tribes and languages not only meitei, so I guess it's not offence to use either English or manipuri according to their comfort.
But still miss manipuri will be holding the title of the whole state manipur and if she doesn't know how to speak English than how can she represent our state out of manipur, however English is the universal language,we should not stop someone speaking English language, I was very disappointed at ema comments regarding language.
The organisers did the right thing by making the contestants answer in the language that they are comfortable with. Its very appropriate and professional. 👍👍👍👍

People sometimes tend to ignore the fact that Manipur is a diverse state and we all don't speak the same language.
of course it's good that digestion which is concerning about the speaking of manipuri or meteilon, at the same times it will gives various disadvantages to those beauty pageant to compete in outer sphere of manipur, speaking English in our locality is one of the best reason to influnce or enhance our speaking ability that build up a confident on expression of our view and point on the arena, I hope speaking English would continue that provide equal privilege to all competitor. hope we consider positively. longlive manipur!!

Its not that we r forcing someone to speak only English but what we mean is, if a contestants knows English than let her speak why to force someone meiteilon and incase if a contestants doesn't know English than let her speak meiteilon. That's not an issue but what ema try to said was everyone should speak manipuri so that's not fair.
Of course japanese or Chinese whatever may b the contestants doesn't know English so they speak their own language and that's not to be blame.
Do not compare with the negative/weak side please try to compare with the positive and the higher side to upgrade our manipur so that we too can come up to the higher level like other states and country.

Regarding da language, initially think abt long term.historically I can see all around using English maximum.for da convenience of da contestants regarding language using English in all abt.nobody Wil speak Manipuri if you are to contest in 2nd state or 2nd country.so a language which is relevant to da said occasion is important.
