Perfect for practicing painting techniques on.. something to build if you got young kids or grandchildren as well..
These look very similar to the plastic soldier kits, mainly aimed at wargamers.
The plastic soldier kits cost more, but the one I bought for the valentine had crew options and 3 versions, so I built one of each.
It pretty much proves how expensive decals are in relative terms.
A brilliant entry level kit . Paint it however you like and have fun.
I bought from this manufacturer nice simple kit's that go together well , I used them as loads on one of my model trains. Also ideal for wargaming.
didn't twig about wargaming until now lol
Perfect for wargaming, you can build one in 20 minutes.
My kids started off building these too due to the simplicity 👍🏼
Ian
yes i've been looking at the wargamming side of them
@@MOS6510Models Quite robust too for regular handling on the table 👍🏼
I have all their Sherman variants. A bit of cleaning up, and a good paint job, and you'd never know how basic the kits actually are. I used a lot as the basis of 79th Armoured Division 'Hobart's Funnies', as used on D-Day. Crabs, recovery vehicles, DD Tanks, Kangaroos, and a BARV.
The Armourfast Achilles and Cromwell, are excellent, too. These kits used to be made by HÄT, who also still make two different versions of the Renault FT-17 tank. That's a fun little build.
ill look for the renault.. sounds a fun kit to build
These are really simple kits, but are useful for young modelers to start the hobby. Naturally you've to find the decals and (eventually) some figures, but this shouldn 't be a problem, Orion makes some excellent 1/72 tankers of various WWII armies.
These are designed for wargaming (they even have their own rules called Tanks! Which are simple and great fun to play). I got the opportunity to paint up the test sprues for the Sherman 105, Sherman II 17 pounder, StuG and PzIII. I have a few in my collection, they build up fast and are great wee ‘quick win’ kits. Can’t wait to se e you bio.d this one, they are also great for trying out painting techniques and weathering!
Thanks for the info!
FYI- I believe the Armour Fast kits were created for table top gaming where things like detail and separate tracks & wheels aren't really necessary for gaming purposes. The kits are just accurate enough to represent the vehicle in the game. Furthermore, the simplicity of the kits allow players, who may not be modelers, easy quick assembly. It's also why they're so cheap and you get two in a box!
Yes a bargain and very simple to build.. Thank you @calessel3139 for leaving a comment. Please subscribe if you haven't as yet.. It really helps the channel grow.

@@calessel3139 ah thank you mate
Email me your adress and I’ll send you some stickers
Built a few of these wargaming kits, (Armourfast, S-model, PSC, etc).
Details are a bit simple, especially things like tracks, but very nice if you're interested in modelling different variants or camouflage schemes for an inexpensive price.
Sounds great!
These are the type of kit that I love. I currently have 3 Spitfires, a Hurricane and an X-Wing fighter hanging over my pond in the garden and these would be great lurking in the grass around the pond. They’re cheap, which is great, and while they may not be the most detailed or accurate models, they’re ideal for me to throw together, slap a bit of paint and clear coat on and leave out in the garden to weather naturally while providing something unusual for a garden pond.
There was a Dambusters Lancaster but that had been there for 3 years and took a nosedive into the pond recently
Just had a look on wreckers yard armourfast have got a nice selection of models in the 1/72 range
yeah they do matey..
Coooooool little kits. Thank you for sharing 👍.

Looks cool
I’ve made a load of these for Wargaming and they scrub up well. You need aftermarket decals (Aleran from the US - cheap postage too). I scrounged some metal auxiliary fuel tanks from S&S models to finish them off.
i will check them out.. nice easy builds too
I've found these kits really good to practice my painting and weathering skills on. I've built several each of the Crusader, Sherman, M10 and Panzer III and with a bit of detailing and added tools, stowage etc. they make up into quite neat models. I don't find the lack of decals an issue as I have plenty of spares left over from other, more expensive kits!
Yeah deffo a kit for kit bashing on for a bit more realism. Thank you @davidbrigenshaw8721 for leaving a comment. Please subscribe if you haven't as yet.. It really helps the channel grow.
great unboxing pal and for that price its a bargain in my view for 2 kits
and easy builds too
These seem s simple and perfectly priced! 💜💜
They are!
Nice kit
Thanks 👍
Great review Mos
2 kits for that price...and they do look quite good and easy to build....whats NOT to like.
Made in England as well! I was expecting this to be Chinese at this price.
agreed..
cheap as chips! not bad for the price, no decals keeps the price low. just reminds me of those tiny little kits you got cello taped on the front of comics or inside cereal boxes. Can't realy complain at that price though.
yes i thought so too...
Can you review the humbrol weather pens ?
i did play with them on a member only live stream.. they are ok but the colours are very limited
Good value and could be painted any custom scheme too if didnt want to do a realistic one
Yeah true
Did it say ' made in Japan' on the base of the kit?
ill have a look.. Thank you Max the maltipoo for leaving a comment. Please subscribe if you haven't as yet.. It really helps the channel grow.
