Thorns isn't always good for some situations since it can just waste durability. It can be really annoying to repair especially in servers, so it might not be the best option. Although, if you're in singleplayer/a small server with your friends, then it'll be more useful. Great video though!

Thorns is the most underrated enchantment in the game, super convenient & has no real effect on the durability of Unbreaking III + Mending Netherite gear.
The hardest part of doing a God Armor is choosing what armor trim you want to use on it.

everyone will advise you against thorns, it can break many automatic mob farms if a mob hits you, and each time the thorns effect avtivates your durability lowers, so if you find yourself in a very crowded mob area it is very much possible for your armor to break (receiving damage + activating thorns), even if enchanted with mending.
I disagree, if you're in an area with a lot of mobs then use a sweeping edge 3 sword and you should be fine unless your armour was already low durability (which it really shouldn't be if you have unbreaking 3 and mending and any sort of xp farm) and your farm isn't really automatic if you're getting hit. On the other hand, not having thorns while fighting someone with thorns makes all the difference and can get you killed even if you play better than your opponent
thorns is alright for single player but never use it in multiplayer

actually this doesnt happen anymore. Its an old bug that was fixed a long while back. Thorns no longer takes double durability dmg. Thorns is a very good enchantment now with barely any downsides unless you want to let something hit you without dying.

I havent played Minecraft since true vanilla and I'm back at it. Love all the new stuff (new to me lol) but I can't find a damn bastion for shit. So frustrating.

In the old PS4 version of Minecraft, there was a glitch that made leather armor, if you used the right set of enchantments (i forgor which ones), make you COMPLETELY IMMUNE TO ALL DAMAGE (except for self-inflicted damage such as ender pearls)
One of my friends got it, and it took me and 2 other friends literal hours to kill him even though we were in creative mode (we tricked him into pearling himself to death)

I read that thorns durability is affected by both unbreaking and the number of pieces you have enchanted with thorns. Unbreaking gives a chance of thorns not causing durability loss and when activated it chooses one of the 4 pieces to hit with durability loss not all 4 losing durability.
if you wanna make true god armor and not risk corruption just copy and past the world and retry until it doesnt corrupt and you do everything succesfully
Don’t go full protection IV. That works currently on bedrock but there is no telling when mojang will fix the current explosion glitch so we may eventually take full damage like our java counterparts.
After running an online calculator for creeper and explosion damage, seems the best bet is to go 3 potect IV and 1 blast protect IV(prefer on legs). Yes you’ll take 44% more damage(52% vs 36%) from other sources(except falling, which can still be max) but 44% decrease in explosion damage(20% vs 36%) means even a highest individual explosion source(charged creeper) is now fully survivable.
Also, having 2 protect IV + 1 blast IV when wearing elytra does bring the regular creeper 22ish max down to 15, making them completely survivable chest-plate-free as well. This especially handy for those liking to wear elytra 24/7.

@@Icomplaintoomuch Not sure what you are saying, its one protection IV or one Blast Protection IV per armor piece. You have 4 pieces to work with, or 3 encase of elytra. I’m not talking about putting more than one on the same armor piece.

@@GobbyMade21 Depends on what version. The reasons why Windows 10 edition survives is already recognized by the dev’s as a glitch, and will eventually be fixed. So windows 10 players will eventually become just as vulnerable to creepers as java.

@@draconoYT is it possible in end city ship loot chest? Like rare loot? Don't think I've seen any but rare leather armor with efficiency in woodland mansion makes me wonder.
You can also *literally* halve fire/projectile/explosion damage if you apply the appropriate protection type to one of your armor pieces.
To be clear, you can only choose one, (applying two+ types is strictly worse than applying generic protection on both) and you should only apply to 1 piece.
The way minecraft calculates damage reduction is linear, so in exchange to halving 1 of those types of damage, you get 1,5x generic damage, relative to full Prot 4
Fire protection is basically psuedo-fire res potion

I believe the best way to put enchants on armor was by level descending so prot 4 resp 3 umbreaking 3 etc

I wrote a guide on the enchantment order some time to always enchant under 20 levels per combination for all possible max gear. However I purely created it from testing, didn't know the github entry existed. Now I can check if I had flaws in my guide

the netherite template thing has a 100% chance of spawning in a bastion treasure room and i think abt a 8-18% or something chance to spawn in the other chests around the bastion

I love this, this helped me crazily but the one thing that my ocd is made about is that for the boots you forgot frost walker (one of my favourites) other than that, you are SEVERELY underrated
Well yes, but no. See, depth strider and frost walker are mutually exclusive, just like the protection enchantments and the sharpness/bane of athropods/smite

Every time I try to use the website it says unavailable. EDIT:it’s because the boots had to many enchantments I did it without soul speed and it worked I don’t use soul speed and think it’s not the best so that’s fine😊

I made diamond armour in 1.19 survival and then updated my world to 1.20 and then i found i needed netherite upgrade for netherite armour

Max diamond Armor is easy. Try getting a looting III + fire aspect “axe”, or a protection IV elitra. I used to old world feature to get these items in original xbox save when it was possible, then updated world to latest version to have access to all the new stuff. World hasn’t had corruption problem so far.
Only thing I’m missing sadly was the infinite + mending bow, which stopped being possible a bit too soon for my rollback.
If you have his texture pack with the tide trim with diamonds it makes it look so awesome!

Okay I have a question which will be very controversial, but is it better to enchant the armor in diamond or nether form? I have felt that diamond better because even tho nether has "better stat" the probably for a God roll is better on diamond. I've been enchanting on both sets multiple times, but I'm not sure.
No idk if this answers your question but, netherite is better to enchant than diamond in the enchantment table, if you’re putting it on an anvil I don’t think it makes a difference
Situationally it is better to keep your gear diamond till you max out its enchants because your chances of finding other diamond gear with enchants you want is possible unlike netherite gear where once you upgrade it to netherite you can only put other netherite tools/armor into it which can be a big waste especially now since you have to have that template thingy
A question- Doesn't Thorns lead to breaking the armor quicker (reducing the durability)?

They do but unless you’re in a pvp scenario for a long time the durability increase is negligible
they dont anymore, a long time ago having Thorns did double durability dmg but that has since been fixed. Its worth it now
This video didn't really have something new for me to learn but what I learned was how to put netherite on diamond armor and how to know what's the best way to enchant your armor by using the website linked in the description.
To anyone wondering about how to efficiently enchant items with books: always apply the echantment costs from most expensive to least expensive. So you need to find your most expensive book and apply that first then find the 2nd most expensive etc. I don't exactly know how it would work if you combined books to get a max level enchantment but assuming you had a villager farm for the max enchantments you will never get the too expensive in the anvil.
i personally find it preferable to have one specialized protection enchantment on one of my armor pieces, since iirc prot4 gives 16% damage reduction against all types of damage but specialized ones give 32% for that specific type of damage, so rather than 64% damage reduction against all types of damage, you get 48% all types of damage, up to 80% for one specific type of damage
that extra 16% of damage reduction is practically negligible with how good armor sets are with netherite imo, and specialized protection can be much more valuable if you find yourself having problems with stuff like lava(fire prot)
I agree with this. I usually put the specialized protection on the chestplate since I only swap that in for elytra when I actually need it

What about the enchantment that turns water to ice?
Not a lot of people use frost walker. Sure walking across an ocean is pretty cool, but a boat gets you across faster and doesnt drain hunger.
Boats are more efficient and once you get elytra they’re both rendered useless

I don't recommend using Thorns because they make your armour brake faster
but with unbreaking and mending it kinda cancels that con of having thorns. Just kill some cow or sheep and you regain durability easy

You only need thorns on 1 piece for its full use. If you are planning on getting an elytra, put it on your leggings, otherwise, chestplate
Thorns sucks tho, it does more bad stuff than good. Like knockback

@@nikkstar9970 but it also damages the opponent's armour when they take thorns damage, so both of your armoursets are going to break about as fast, the only difference is if they don't have thorns, they take that extra damage added onto your own damage output

You can usually get Max armour if you make sure to do it on diamond first then upgrade to netherite after as netherite is way more expensive
I really like having fire prot on at least one of my armor pieces since it basically makes you able to survive lava infinitely. Prot 4 across all armor pieces is nice, but honestly losing 20% for basically infinite lava time is a worth trade, since prot 4 on 3/4 pieces is good enough to survive a lot of things anyway
Sooooo the thing is, your protection EPF is way over max anyways with 2 instances of prot 4 as I have learned recently, meaning you are encouraged to put other types of protection on the other two pieces of armor

Here’s a fun little fact about swift sneak, at its max level you can sprint sneak
Sprint normally then sneak while still sprinting and you'll sneak at sprinting speed with swift sneak III

I will point out how useful projectile protection is instead of normal protection. I hardly feel those arrows smacking me since skeletons tend to be my bane.

The real God armor uses bugs of old snapshots were u cuold add every type of protection on a diamond armor that was already cracked with feather falling for every piece. Than for the helmet theres a bug where u can find One with double protection 3 from the skelethon raid,(which IS Fire). Not to forget that thorns is really annoing if u are building some farms that uses hostile mobs.

I’m happy with the new way to get netherite tools/armor. Adds a new challenge and to be honest it was too easy in 1.19
Now I may be incorrect due to the many updates and changes over the years, but I believe the thorns enchantment does not stack when you have it on multiple pieces of armour, so unless you want to be taking away unnecessary durability points away from all your armour pieces, just put it on one piece of armour.

Just saying with enchantments, fire protection 4 on one piece of armor and the rest has protection 4. The game registers as the full suit having fire proc 4 and proc 4.

Why not make a world on 1.14 version and then move to a recent version after making the true god armor?
Yes it probaly still have a chance to corrupt, but less.
I recommend not using thorns as it uses durability and if your making something with hostile mobs they will die and i recommended not using punch on bows and knockback on swords as it launches enemys

What about the forms of protection? Wouldn't all them to the set work best? And yes im aware you cant do say blast and projectile but say blast on your pants and fire on your boots?
well default protection helps with all sources of damage that there's no protection type against (eg. fall damage, magic damage from potions and getting hit by enemies) so unless you know you're gonna get blown up or covered in lava default protection just helps more on average
@@Biothermiac i wish magic damage bypassed protection. I know the Warden does it, but I want Witches, Evokers, and the Ender Dragon to do it too with their magic attacks.
The reason why is because I want them to be stronger, especially Evokers considering the ease of killing them and taking their high value reward.
