@11:00-11:05 The same point that I’ve been trying to make and he has more wisdom than I do. I love Derozan but the reality is that he’s going to be 35 years of age and we’re not going to make the playoffs next season as well. Get him off of the books NOW since we’re not in a position to compete! He also mentioned the situation that the successful teams look like who are still in the playoffs. None of these old guys minus Al out of Boston are remain in the playoffs. Where I disagree is trading Zach and he didn’t even say trade him for the record, he said that he’s not appreciated. That ALONE would make any player not want to be in the third largest market. A portion of Chicago is pushing Zach out the door basically which is beyond me. Make some sense out of not making the playoffs next season, keeping an expensive and aging Derozan but push Zach out when Zach still has plenty of ball in him to go along with White etc. Zach is already locked in for the next three seasons I believe and is still one of the most dynamic guards in the game.
The good news is that this is still salvageable… Have a sit down with Zach and let him HEAL. We’re not making any noise or the playoffs next season as well so… Focus on getting Derozan and Ball off of the books. You follow that up with building aground a healthy Zach, an emerging guard in White, Vuc and my favorite Bull Caruso. Go get some damn rim protection and two or three Two Way / 3&D players at the PG position, SF position and the PF position behind Williams. It’s not that complicated. We’re not serious about making a deep run until we address the opposition in the East that we have to go through in Embiid, Giannis, Bam etc… We’re going to need those Two Way and 3&D players to guard a Tatum and Brown as well. There’s a reason why this team needs to be set up like this not to mention that Billy is a defensive minded coach.

Such a foolish fantasy. You realize Zach has only made the playoffs once? He only has 1 playoff win in his career. The bulls need a complete rebuild besides Coby White Ayo and he’ll even give Pat Williams his last chance to be an option. I know our contract situation is strapped, but we have to do something. Try something different

problems with Billy Donovan:
1. Does not utilize his challenges effectively
2. His rotations are terrible (Javon Carter didn't deserve a single minute in the play in)
3. Gets out coached by better coaches nearly every matchup

@24:31 He said it again!!! Move on from Derozan! I would target Murray (who has stated that he wants to play with Lavine) from ATL. Murray scores at will and can clamp whatever PG in the East that we have to go through. So y’all are telling me that a front three of PG Murray, SG White and SF Lavine wouldn’t be a problem?! None of these guys are guardable. We would have a the league’s best backcourt on the floor at all times even if ONE gets subbed out. If Zach goes to the bench then Carsuso would be at the SF position for example… If you need defense then move Zach and White to the bench and move Caruso to the SG alongside Murray as another example. If White gets hurt then good luck guarding PG Murray and SG Zach night in and night out.
How does that team beat Denver or Boston ?
I already addressed how we deal with Boston on another comment. Don’t be concerned with the West, worry about making a deep run or coming out of the East first.

Love the conversation.. as far as running the offense through Vooch... I hate to say it.. I just don't think he has the basketball IQ to be that guy... If we aren't really shaking things up .. I think Coby, Ayo and Pat Williams should run with Drummond... Demar - Vooch and Caruso should be a group of their own... We still need a proper 4.. maybe a pair of 4s.. I don't mind Billy, but I just don't think he puts much thought into building line ups where players understand their roles.

Sam has always been my guy. I learned how to read back in the 2nd grade by reading Sam's sports articles in the newspaper. But I have to disagree with Sam on the State of the Bulls. Yes, do a sign n trade with DeMar. Fire Billy Donovan. Bring in a young fresh voice to motivate a rebuilding young roster. Trade Vooch if they can. And top priority should not be to trade Zach LaVine, but if the right offer happens AK should do it. And for Gawd's sake, no more 6'5" and under players. Billy's small ball lineups is so 2021 (outdated)
Arturas don't really view Zach as a franchise player. The Bulls don't have a cornerstone outside of DeRozan Vucevic and Zo.

Zach Lavine is 100% underappreciated without a doubt.
