I absolutely ADORE this woman. With Hashimoto's disease and all the rigors her voice has been put through, she still gets up there and gives us everything she has to give EVERY single time out. And her emotional connection is out of this world. I'll continue to devour whatever material she puts out. No question. If she can't belt or go supernova like she used to, I don't give a DAMN. Her voice is still gorgeous, still lustrous and vibrant. She's always been and continues to be the real deal. As long as she's happy, healthy, and singing from her soul, I can't imagine what else there is to ask or expect of her. She will always get my unconditional love and support. Don't get it twisted. This is a QUEEN right here. ❤️

If I’m being honest, I was disappointed at this performance. It nearly seemed like she was afraid to sing. But at the same time, I hugely understand that she’s got an illness that imparts her voice significantly, though there was already a decline before the illness took hold. But above all, I’m happy that she looks healthy and I’ll guess happy too. I love the fact that she still tries to sing and exercise her voice. Hopefully she recovers fully and is able to reach her prime again. But whatever she choses to do, we’ll always love her.

I think she's holding back and not giving her best on purpose to preserve her voice even on live shows, she still got some issues and certainly not in her prime condition, but im sure she can do better then that. I still love her head voice it's so beautiful.

I may check out some more performances but compared to what I thought I might hear this wasn't too bad.

Is not the same what Mariah carey happend . Leona lewis has an auto immun disea wich makes her voice Weaker every year. Mariah carey has noudles wich she needs to remove but is afraid to loose her whistle register. Both complete different stories

Leona is almost 2 decades since she entered the industry and even with her voice deteriorating from the autoimmune condition she has, she still gives what she's got completely live. By the late 90s Mariah started lip-syncing. At first it was off and on but as time progressed the lip-syncing increased, unlike Leona.
It is actually just a semitone lower than the original key. It does sound even lower than that, but I guess it seems like this due to her darker tone in general and because she avoided the high belted notes. Instead she stayed within the 4th octave in general except for the run at the end.
This was the best I’ve heard her in years. Although I hope she starts working with a vocal coach because she has been using horrible technique since 2013. She needs to stop raising her larynx so much when singing simple notes. Edit: I also think is not confident in her voice and scared to just go for the high notes.
@@damianchietan5417You're not completely wrong. She gave top-notch vocals after the rhinoplasty eg. "Hurt", "Colorblind", "Somewhere" etc. but if you listen carefully, ger placement while singing changed. Then that coupled with being overworked and Hashimotos really affected her voice.
So what if she changed the arrangement and didn’t belt at every opportunity? Just be happy that we got a performance and that her voice (and health) has obviously improved. LORD 🥴

I don’t think a nose job can effect a voice like that. I think it is just bad technique.
