WORLD CUP - FIRST TIME IN FINALS / Vlog 1-24

Hey guys, it's time for a new vlog. This time we are in Laax, Switzerland, where we will be staying for most of the winter. We came to Laax just in time for the Laax Open. So far, I have participated in two World Cups, and both times I haven't made it into the top thirty. This time, the goal was set to definitely aim for a spot within the top thirty and secure my first World Cup points.
The competition course seemed good, with four jumps, which I personally like. There could be more competitions with four jumps, but that requires a fairly long course and doesn't fit everywhere.
It's difficult to describe the tension when I failed in the first run in qualification, knowing that everything has to work out in the second run. It's always easier to get more or less points with the first run and then do the second run with a bit less pressure. Fortunately, everything went well, and I made it to the semi-finals in fifteenth place.
For us, my dad and I, it was already a success. I was for the first time among the top twenty-four in a World Cup.
In the semi-finals, you could say the result was already achieved, but still, the desire to make it to the final emerged, and the pressure increased even more. The first run failed again, with well-known skiers starting in front and behind you. Fortunately, somehow the second run succeeded again, and I made it to the final even in fourth place, unreal.
In the final, everyone stepped up their game, and although both of my runs went more or less well, they were not enough for more than tenth place.
But no, I'm not disappointed at all. It was my first competition where I made it to the final and reached the top ten. The best competition so far.
