What an amazing performance! Joff's rig goes down, they adjust on the fly, and pull off a great show anyway. I love how Ellie took command of the stage and her singing was on fire. Joff know's Ellie's guitar parts and was including them where he could after he switched to playing her guitar. And Theo covers Ellie's intro part to Big Peach on his bass. All marks of a very professional and talented band. Lots of respect.

This is just perfection of wolf alice. This many years down into their rapidly progressing and expanding career and this rig failure just proves absolutely everything about them. Fucking amazing.
If this performance doesn't cement Wolf Alice as one of the tightest live bands of the twenteens, and Ellie Roswell as one of the greatest post-grunge female leads, then I don't know what they have to do.

Totally agree love how Joff tries to get everything out of the guitar. Never seen anyone bend or swing a guitar around to create some cool sounds. Joff rocks!

They are so very good, they deserve all the success they can ever get , they put so much effort in they deserve to succeed for a long time to come. well done to all of them.
That was an amazing set. Ellie being charming and full of energy as always and the band is just playing so good despite technical difficulties.

This is a tight band. I liked them the first time I heard them. Joff just blows my mind. Ellie I'm in love with. This band wouldn't fly with out the drummer, and bass player. They are really impressive! I have both albums they are great!!!

This is the day I broke my arm playing football... It was the hottest day of the year and I distinctly remember being completely blown away watching this on the BBC highlights that night after I'd been to hospital. I hadn't listened to them before so I didn't notice the difference with 2nd guitar dropping at first, but I see it now that I've listened to them a lot more. Even with that happening this is possibly the best live video of them that I've seen. The bass is absolutely thumping and the single guitar without all the effects makes them sound completely different. Would have loved to have been there.
It is really astounding. Incredible energy. And Ellie screams like a banshee.
@Plumber lane Generally true. But a few songs sound better on the albums. Freazy is a good example--the harmonies & other overdubs really make the song.

I watch these four push the limits of their craft and am reminded of another group that came out of Britian in the early 70's with a brutal drummer, relentless bassist, a voice that forever changed rock & roll, and dare I say an enlightened being on guitar. I don't think the comparison is too far off especially as how WA continues to evolve their sound. Just days away from Last Man on Earth...

really starting to like formidable cool, and space in time is love. ive never seen them without ellie playing and weird not seeing their giant peach dance at the intro.. they still kill....too bad they didnt play visions of a life.. moaning intro is amazing. ...sonic bliss. such a good band.

@@backbeat3451 yeah, there are several very good reasons those suggesting it should understand as to why she probably doesn't even want a radio mic in this situation:
1. She's old skool and not using in-ears
2. She has two mics for a reason
3. When you're on a festival stage and have already lost an entire rig, you don't really want to swap to an untested, un-soundchecked mic

Went on Utube for a "how to" but Wolf Alice popped up first and see that they are slaying it in Glasgow. I saw them in Columbus, Ohio and almost "groupied" to their next concert in Nashville, TN. Ellie's vocals actually send tingles up/down my spine.....she sounds a little rough in this concert, but it kinds of lends itself to the grunge feel to this band......YES!

Not gonna lie, before this set, I knew who wolf alice were but never gave them a chance (i dont know why). But, after this performance i couldnt not get into them. I didnt know them before they walked on, couldnt forget them when they walked off.
of all the bands i love...i watch live wolf alice videos more than anything...over and over and never tire..ive seen them 3 times and they are so good. one of my faves.

Ellie hid it well but after not having watched this show for a while I realised that she is really pissed about the situation. There are a couple of moment where I reckon I can see frustration/irritation almost boiling over. Especially at 28:12.
The whole band coped with it like utter legends, it's one of my favorite Wolf Alice live shows.
