I once heard a really successful hunter say that if you kill a deer and feel absolutely nothing you have something wrong with you. I think what you were describing is a normal feeling. Reverence, and being thankful while also having the acute realization that it's a very serious action to take a life of any kind. It's final, there's no turning back and the results of a very quick decision you just made lay in front of you. Your happiness and success are dependent upon the demise of another. It's all part of the hunt and the emotional aspects that go with it. In that moment you are experiencing being very deeply human. No other animal on earth that would take that animal's life would think twice about it. But we are different, present, aware of more than ourselves, and have the ability to unravel all of that at the same time in our mind. Great video, thanks for sharing and nice buck!
