Another Smart Launcher 3 fan here. It's always the first thing I install on a new phone. It's fast, efficient, with lots of gesture controls, the ability to hide apps in the drawer (and lock them with a password, if you like). And you still have lots of customization options. Hard to beat, IMO. (Nice video, by the way, fast but informative).
I just recently shifted from my old iPhone 6 to android and I have to say the launchers and all this level of customisation is wonderful! With all the changes I can make, I almost feel like a developer myself!
I love the Smart Launcher (3). Love the simple black and white setup. I do not miss multiple home screens nor widgets. What pisses me of with the stock android laucher is that one one sreen you have only 8 icons to lauch an app and they are all over the place. With smart laucher you can do up to 16-18 and you can assign 2 apos per one icon for instance 1 tap = camera, double tap = galery... the app drawer can be opened/closed with one swipe and the apps can be grouped in tabs ( games, communication...) useless apps you can hide... You can set columns count and fit up to 60 icons on one screen. You can lock the portrait/landscape view... etc. Love this launcher, no BS launcher with slick look and quick ccess to whatever matters.

I'm actually using the TSF Launcher on a Hyundai Ultra Touch, Android 5.1 and it gives you a lot of options, like different gestures (swipe or tapping to launch different apps), dock animations, menu and desktop transition effects, changing the desktop scale and also a side menu.
My favourite launcher out of those six is ZenUI Launcher. Probably because I like the feel iOS has and I like that they have a launcher that gives you a slight iOS feel to Android.
I've probably used most of the best and more noteworthy launchers available and I would say my faves are Yahoo Aviate and TSF Launcher, which I'm using now for a few months. TSF is fantastic, I still haven't managed to use all of its features. You should definitely try those out!
oh i just saw a ad but i had to go to thier theme store i dont use their themes anymore i dowload them from the playstore and disabled that weird unsatifying drop down menu that u swipe from the top and i didnt download their sms themer and blah blah i just like how big the icons are and the wallpaper filters and the swipe animations

I used to have Go Launcher, but it needed too much ram to work, so a few months ago I decided to go for Nova, and so far so good, even got the prime version of it. Really cool one.
Great video bro! Good work. I just stick with Google Now Launcher. Now Cards gives me all the information I need and with a little help from Google Keep and Calendar apps those remiders either notify me or become a card in the Google now cards. Google Now on Tap is informative only when you dont want to jump out of the app you are already in or in email or SMS. But Google Now Launcher is still very useful
Yahoo's Aviate Launcher is interesting. I like how the pages/screen are organized. 1 for the card section, where news, notes, weather and other favorite apps are placed. Then the next screen would showcase widgets. The apps are categorized in the next screen and the last screen would show the apps clustered in alphabetical order.
Bro try out Lightning Launcher (but let me warn you the learning curve is quite sharp) it has every customization imaginable like having Fonts as icons, Dynamic fonts, Multiple Desktop and even customizable Lockscreen.My next favourite would be Buzz Launcher, if you don't wish to do all that customization by yourself then this is THE launcher for you since it has a huge community that share their creativity with you. Try these 2 and if possible post some videos
The problem with Google Now launcher is that it doesn't give you many customization options. Whereas Apex & Nova gives you many options to customize your home screen the way you want. Apex & Nova have a free version, and a pro version you can buy to add a few more features. I am using Nova launcher on my phone

+Detective Derpy (Chris Tun) depends on the launcher but usually no. You have a launcher running all the time as it is, and so you are just swapping it out for a different one. Some of these are even more optimized than your original launcher (I.e. Nova is better on battery than day TouchWiz).
even touchwiz, Miui etc have their own launchers running all the time....so its just like replacing the old one...and maybe the battery life may ever get better, if the old one is a battery sucker

My favorite /longest used Launcher has been Holo HD, and then the Next 3D, CM, and Google GO launcher, were for a bit (In the 5+ yrs I've had Galaxy (Started with OG , then Galaxy II, IV and for last 1.8 yrs - Samsung Galaxy Note III) but Now.. I left 'Holo HD for ICS' for 'TSF Shell 3D' a month ago, tried few others but can't stop TSF Shell 3D. Thats same as happened with Holo,I have 5+ launchers at a time to try (I have ADD with my phone launchers usually lol) and its too awesome and too easy, and I can customize exactly like I want - now won't go back. I tried a few newer ones but I had to switch back. Tried as many as I can from arrow to Smart, Nova Prime - Name it lol. TSF Shell 3D is now my only used launcher after I couldn't stop Holo HD for a year..
Mate, check out Lighting Launcher. If you think Nova has a lot of customization options, you're gonna fall of your phone if you see the amount Lightning offers. You can literally do whatever you want with your homescreen with it, as it supports scripts as well. It has a steep learning curve though, so if you just want to have a simple setup, while possible in Lightning, you might want to have a look at something else. Otherwise, Lightning is everything you'd want in a Launcher.
The sense launcher is the best for me. Blinkfeed is the best news application and the launcher integration is spot on. So much so that Samsung tried to imitate by building newsstand into their launcher (their failed). I have used the sense Launcher on all of my last non HTC phones.
Go Next Launcher is the best imo, it doesn't spam you like Go Launcher does but it is a paid launcher. It has all the customization of go launcher and more and has a 3D launcher option which surprisingly doesn't drain the battery, but I prefer the 2D option, its just easier to use and find things, i think you can use almost any go launcher theme on it and its always being updated.
I also like the voxis launcher. Especially if you like a launcher in the horizon mode instead of the portrait mode. You need to install 2 other apps to complete it. My favourite yet.
The best Launcher I have ever used has to be Aviate by Yahoo. I've never found anything better than this. Its very very simple and has everything you can possibly need right next to your finger tips. I've tried countless launchers prior to using Aviate and none of them match Aviate.
I now I've watched your launchers video, I think the Z launcher is similar to the Microsoft, but so far I like the way of _handwriting_ to get the app you want.
nova and apex have a great features of "app drawer groups"...u can group ur apps and can find them quickly. this is the most useful thing for people with huge no. of apps in their devices.
I've tried several and I always come back to Nova and Apex. Just wish Apex would continue support (last update was years ago) and wish Nova would add more scrolling animations.
I personally like the Nokia N launcher better than Microsoft's Arrow launcher. On the Nokia launcher, to find an app you simply just draw a letter and the app you want and it will show up. Then after using that app, it will appear on the most used apps (which Microsoft took from Arrow launcher) but I think the Nokia launcher integrates it more smoothly. No there isn't much customization to it, but it probably is the best clean, simplistic looking Android launcher right now. I think it's worth trying. :)
TOP 3 1. Nova Launcher - So cool & decent, fast and customizable 2. Smart Launcher - Easy to navigate, One of a kind. 3. Arrow Launcher - Most Decent of all, Kinda simple but cool. Not so customizable.
If you want complete customization in a launcher (with a learning curve) check out Lighting Launcher. The developer and the G plus community are active and helpful.
I tried a launcher years ago and was not happy with them. My Note 7 has very ugly icons in TouchWiz. Try Nova thanks to this video. I am liking Nova a lot. Bought Nova Prime, it is great. Thanks for the video.
once I started using Action launcher's unique 'press' for app 'swipe' to reveal a folder its hard to go back to anything else. That and just a healthy number of custom options without getting bloated is a winner for me.
Kinda surprised he didn't say Smart Launcher. Good auto-categorization of your apps, A free way of having pop-up widgets like Action Launcher, a dedicated widgets page, Gestures, etc.
like most people I've been using Nova launcher for years and opted in for the beta progam...how ever have now gone back to ADW which I hadn't thought about in years and they now have finally released ADW2 on the play store..just sublime.. didn't think I could be tempted away from Nova..but good old ADW did..(though not so old anymore)!
I still prefer lightning launcher. I've tried all of the launchers in the video & I still go back to lightning launcher. It's way more customizable than any of these but can also be extremely lightweight & minimalist if that's what you're looking for. It is $4 but it's worth it.
Nova is my favourite launcher right now. It's a nice alternative to Touchwiz on my Note 4, at least for now. For now, since im waiting for my phone to update to Marshmallow. Once I get the latest Android update, I want to try Samsung's Good Lock app.
I've been using Apex since last year and this launcher is legit..close to vanilla I topped it off with a icon pack and zooper widget and is snappy, handsome and very functional
This guy reminds me of Richard Hammond. And also I like Atom launcher alot, it is really material design and is for the one that likes black and white.
I personally use Action Launcher, Microsoft Launcher and last but certainly not least the magnificent Launcher 10 for the closest be possible Windows Phone experience as I used to be a Windows Mobile user.

I really like my htc sense launcher especially it's the last update (Sense 7.0 + Android 6.0)
I don't like it, the older ones feel kinda better and Where's the rain drop effect on weather widget.

When I was stuck using a Nexus, Nova was my go-to. However, since getting the Priv, I like Blackberry's take on their own launcher.

Nova Prime - yes it's the quickest in my opinion but also the most professional in it's design.

I've tried several and I always come back to Nova and Apex. Just wish Apex would continue support (last update was years ago) and wish Nova would add more scrolling animations.
I personally like the Nokia N launcher better than Microsoft's Arrow launcher. On the Nokia launcher, to find an app you simply just draw a letter and the app you want and it will show up. Then after using that app, it will appear on the most used apps (which Microsoft took from Arrow launcher) but I think the Nokia launcher integrates it more smoothly. No there isn't much customization to it, but it probably is the best clean, simplistic looking Android launcher right now. I think it's worth trying. :)
I really only use two launchers. I will switch between these two. Google Now and Yahoo Aviate (no one talks about, but is awesome).

1. Nova Launcher - So cool & decent, fast and customizable
2. Smart Launcher - Easy to navigate, One of a kind.
3. Arrow Launcher - Most Decent of all, Kinda simple but cool. Not so customizable.
If you want complete customization in a launcher (with a learning curve) check out Lighting Launcher. The developer and the G plus community are active and helpful.
tbh I do really love the Xperia Launcher (android M version), tons of customisation, and themes, and a simple theme creator to download for pc
I tried a launcher years ago and was not happy with them. My Note 7 has very ugly icons in TouchWiz. Try Nova thanks to this video. I am liking Nova a lot. Bought Nova Prime, it is great. Thanks for the video.
I'm a Nova Fan, but today I have tried the ZenUI. It's great, if you want to try the Huawei style.
leena launcher is also great, mimics mac os, kinda elevates the experience for tablet users.
once I started using Action launcher's unique 'press' for app 'swipe' to reveal a folder its hard to go back to anything else. That and just a healthy number of custom options without getting bloated is a winner for me.
Kinda surprised he didn't say Smart Launcher. Good auto-categorization of your apps, A free way of having pop-up widgets like Action Launcher, a dedicated widgets page, Gestures, etc.
I'm using the tsf 3d launcher on my galaxy s6 and it's amazing so far.
like most people I've been using Nova launcher for years and opted in for the beta progam...how ever have now gone back to ADW which I hadn't thought about in years and they now have finally released ADW2 on the play store..just sublime.. didn't think I could be tempted away from Nova..but good old ADW did..(though not so old anymore)!

Try smart launcher 3, it's really simplistic, fast, and easy to use. It's my go to launcher for years now.

I still prefer lightning launcher. I've tried all of the launchers in the video & I still go back to lightning launcher. It's way more customizable than any of these but can also be extremely lightweight & minimalist if that's what you're looking for. It is $4 but it's worth it.
Nova is my favourite launcher right now. It's a nice alternative to Touchwiz on my Note 4, at least for now. For now, since im waiting for my phone to update to Marshmallow. Once I get the latest Android update, I want to try Samsung's Good Lock app.
I've been using Apex since last year and this launcher is legit..close to vanilla I topped it off with a icon pack and zooper widget and is snappy, handsome and very functional
I would recommend trying Good Lock. It's made by Samsung and it seems promising. One thing to note is that it's still in beta atm.
This guy reminds me of Richard Hammond. And also I like Atom launcher alot, it is really material design and is for the one that likes black and white.
I personally use Action Launcher, Microsoft Launcher and last but certainly not least the magnificent Launcher 10 for the closest be possible Windows Phone experience as I used to be a Windows Mobile user.
I really like buzz launcher. It has a lot of themes and as far as I could tell they were all free. Downside is battery drainage.
what is the most basic launcher? the fastest one , i mean the one that doesnt have the fancy stuff , the most basic of all like running a 8-bit phone? i'm a speed freak

Im not sure how it became my 4yr old daughters launcher on her Samsung S6 ph (Im sure she was just tappin around not paying attn & ended up changing it..). It's not a terrible thing but Im just not familiar with it & wanted some feed back from those who know more about this type of thing or have used. Thx
