I gotta throw my recommendation for the cheap Logitech stuff. The k380 keyboard $40 and Logitech pebble mouse $30 are my go tos. Maybe not for everyone, but it has a nice clean muted design and I actually REALLY enjoy the feel of both of them-sometimes more than my more expensive Logitech mouse and mechanical keyboard.

Personally I use the anker power expand usb-c dock (I think 13-in-1?) for my at home setup. There’s a thunderbolt version for a higher price if you need thunderbolt. It’s a dock so it’s not as slim and easy to carry around as what he showed in this video (it’s still pretty small desk space wise), but it’s perfect for anchoring an at home setup. Anker also has smaller options if you plan to carry it around with you.

Anger is the perfect example of this. They are relatively inexpensive products and work very good compared to other options.

Understanding the difference between budget and high end can help you decide where you can find the best value for what you need, since the best value is likely neither the cheapest nor most expensive. While a thumb drive is good to have, they're really NOT designed for long term storage. Similar to memory cards, they are fairly prone to corruption, and it's worth taking into consideration. I personally am ok with using thumb drives for semi-long storage of things that I want to have accessible, but I also do back up anything that is 'mission critical' on my NAS, and also on a off site cloud service.
It really depends on the airport, some will let you leave it all the way in the bag, some will make you take it out with the sleeve and some the laptop by itself. I know not helpful but it really depends.
Recently, TSA has said take out electronics larger than a phone, so you’ll probably need to take it out of its sleeve. I’m not sure about putting it in its own box; I usually just place it in the same box on top of my backpack.
You can probably leave it in as the X-rays will go right through. I'd check your airport's guidelines and ask the staff if you can leave it in when you're there. It will also depend on how busy they are. Some airports have better scanners and allow you to leave everything including your laptop in your backpack even.
not exactly cheap but i dont think the one i get is expensive either. 1-MOFT 3 in 1 laptop sleeve,i travel to school and having a stand+sleeve look nice. its compact and lightweight . best accessories ever. down side is there’s a opening on top if anyone mind but i slap a case on my macbook. 2-logitech pebble mouse is way more compact and nicer feel than those knock off mice. battery last forever and amazing clicks. 3-aukey 65W power bank. i usually charge all my stuff and macbook last 4-5 hours. if there’s necessary overtime i know this baby got me covered, not exactly that cheap but its better than carrying a big ass charging brick around.
Next time try to find a dongle/hub that has a sit flush card reader (micro or full size) and get a SD card as you extra storage that just chills in your dongle.

Some solid basics. Stand for the go seems very specific use case as I doubtvpeople would get an Air and then carry stand plus clunky keyboard with them. For stands at home either an clamshell type if you have external screen or a crane arm type stand would be better if you want to safe space on your desk.

(which isn’t arriving for another week lol) I found a nice bamboo stand for my laptop (the brand is sinorhema ) ,as well as a good carrying case (the brand Lacdo) that also came with an accessory bag. They’re actually really nice quality for Amazon and I’m very happy with them. Are there any Wireless mice you’d recommend that are good quality and Mac compatible? I’m still looking for one but don’t want a tiny cheap one.
I got the same sleeve but in forest green, a 6 in 1 hub that have 3 USB 3.0, SD / TF card reader and thunderbolt 3 port and a 115 watt wall charger for the laptop I never use the magsafe charger since the hub use thunderbolt
I always appreciate your budget videos. Especially in a world where companies are laying people off they will all need something to search and land their next role. A Mac mini or an M1 Air are brilliant and the accessories you’ve sighted are great. I’m sure plenty of folks appreciate your efforts.
Are you sure that the dongle in this video works with the M2 Macbook? I checked out the Amazon description and details, and it doesn't seem to mention the 2022 Macbook Air M2 as compatible...unless I missed it.
Personally, I'd go for the M1 MacBook air, 16 gb/512gb. I don't know what you're planning on using it for, but the M1 might be enough for you. If you do 16gb/512gb for the M1, it's about $1399 from Apple's website, or you could bump down the storage and use an ssd. But, If you want the M2 go for it! It's a great laptop, from what I've seen. :)
If your budget is tight, 256 is totally fine. You can always get an external SSD later on for a cheaper price when you need it. I myself as a student don't find any trouble with the 256 along with a Samsung SSD. If you can stretch your budget though, 512 is recommended.
Surprised with all the heat issue with the new M2Air you didn't recommend a laptop cooler stand. They been around a long time for people with gaming laptops that run very hot. Your little stand will help to get more air under the M2A but a stand with fans will keep air on the bottom of the laptop.

I have the metallic version of that stand and it works great with my MacBook Pro 16 inch and I use it for my iPad sometimes. Its definitely worth it!

Satechi makes the best accessories. Hoping they make some Midnight accessories soon like they do for iMac.
I have a similar stand made of aluminum. The grips are awesome on mine. Doesn’t shift at all.

Best mouse I've used so far is the Logitech MX Master 3, works great with both Mac and Windows. Very comfortable and great battery life.

I have an amazon basics laptop bag also (not the one in vid) and it has been brilliant. No issues.
I've had one of those pretend leather mats for a couple of months now and it's actually doing a good job.
Cheap doesn't compute down under in Australia - every thing is expensive.
For the portable laptop stand, there is an all aluminum one should be more durable.
