I've got texture sensitivities and velvet yarn is a no-go, which has made the recent trend super hard on me because the plushies all look SO cute! Next time I go to a craft store, I'll have to see if I can find any chenille yarn to try. Fingers crossed it's a better texture for me, because I really want to make your giant turtle!

See, as long as you don't use someone's free pattern, post it as your own pattern, and make people buy it, then you are free to sell whatever! If this didn't make sense I mean selling someone else's pattern as your own and making money off of their free pattern. That is why i am making a shop and I'm only going to sell plushies and not my patterns. I was worried to sell plushies using other people's patterns so I find inspiration and make a pattern off of the inspo photo! ❤

Here is a tip for people using Bernat blanket yarn! I use a 6.50mm hook with my plushies because it results in the stitches being closer together and doesn't have as many gaps :) Hope this helps!

A tip for the parfait shedding, whenever you cut the yarn take a lighter near both ends and the fibers will melt into each other and seals the ends from coming off.

Himalaya Dolphin Baby Chenille yarn has OEKO-TEX Class 1 certification, that means it’s been tested free of harmful chemicals etc safe for baby.. So when making baby things like lovey’s, rattles, small holdable plushies for children under 3 a yarn with that certification is the safest. The color selection is pretty great as well. Bernat baby yarn has that certification as well, that is usually the case with baby yarns as well as them being more petite. Great video!!
Mary Maxim Carrie’s the premier parfait chunky. It’s 4.99 a skein and they have coupons for 20% on line. I ordered yesterday. They offered .04 cent shipping. Chenille is pronounced cheneel. I agree with the fluffy stuff everywhere but I love it the best.

If you looking for more of a selection from Bernat Velvet; Yarnspirations has a little more of a selection compared to Joann’s. Can you do a video of how many octopi you can crochet out of a single skein of Bernat Velvet Yarn?
None of those yarns are available in my country but I can recommend Alize brand’s Velluto yarn. I think sizewise it’s closer to the XL chunky but has pretty minimal shedding and nice colours.

Honestly Ive never ran into a pattern that didn’t allow you to sell the finished product. I think more pattern designers are concerned with people copying their pattern or re-selling their pattern without their permission. ❤️
Hi, I get your point if view, but try to look at it this way: for example when an author writes a story the publisher is the one to print it, bind it and bringing it to the store. Now the author either gets one time money for the story or gets like 5% or something for every sold book. Theoretically you are the publisher and the pattern designer the auhtor. So they can (and most do) allow you to just sell the product but they wouldn't need to. Do you know what I mean?😅
Im 11 and i just started selling my plushies on etsy and at markets and I use premier's just chenille yarn its always at my local dollar tree for 1.25 and it only sheds when i cut the yarn, then it slides off only a little bit but other than that its really good yarn for very cheap i really reccomend trying it also i watch you everyday and im making a baby blue octopus following your free pattern! Love this video!! Curious what are your preferred eye sizes and types are. Sometimes I’m very indecisive with that. Btw, I just made a plushie with a Michael’s Chemille Home Slim, so it’s a bulky 6, but not as big as the regular chenille. However, it also does not come in a lot of colors and I actually did not find it pleasant to work with.
Aww thank you!! 💕 I usually almost always use 12mm eyes :) for my minis I use 6mm and for my jumbos I use 24/30mm! And very interesting about the chenille home slim -- I used it before too and agree it didn't come in enough colors

I have been crocheting amigurumi for a few years now,,, I have always used acrylic. I have been pondering switching to the plush yarn,, but here in canada it is so hard to find and so expensive!!! We don't have a Joanne's or Hobby Lobby so I have been having a hard time sourcing it. Michaels never has stock nor the colours i want :(
Awww!! Ugh yeah, Michaels is the worst with keeping plush yarn in stock. Honestly I find myself using more acrylic yarn nowadays for plushies (minis/keychains) and they are still super cute! Maybe try Hobbii yarns? They usually have a great selection of plush yarn in stock! ❤️
I have been crocheting for around 2 years but never got into amigurumi until literally last week. Can you go over the crochet "rules" as in can you sell plushies from patterns you bought from others, do you have to give credit, things like these.

To help with parfait yarn shedding a ton, I actually just take a lighter and slightly burn all the ends. It helps so much!

Im 11 and i just started selling my plushies on etsy and at markets and I use premier's just chenille yarn its always at my local dollar tree for 1.25 and it only sheds when i cut the yarn, then it slides off only a little bit but other than that its really good yarn for very cheap i really reccomend trying it also i watch you everyday and im making a baby blue octopus following your free pattern! Ilysm genna!! 💗💗 p.s. will the crochet queen reply...? 😮😮

Love this video!! Curious what are your preferred eye sizes and types are. Sometimes I’m very indecisive with that. Btw, I just made a plushie with a Michael’s Chemille Home Slim, so it’s a bulky 6, but not as big as the regular chenille. However, it also does not come in a lot of colors and I actually did not find it pleasant to work with.
Aww thank you!! 💕 I usually almost always use 12mm eyes :) for my minis I use 6mm and for my jumbos I use 24/30mm! And very interesting about the chenille home slim -- I used it before too and agree it didn't come in enough colors
i wish my country has velvet yarn as cheap like in US, maybe one day I can get my hands on them!

Hi a couple things first off I love parfait chunky! And also sweet snuggles is actually a little bigger than parfait but little smaller than parfait xl also love all the patterns and your videos ima new subscriber but you content is so great
I have been crocheting amigurumi for a few years now,,, I have always used acrylic. I have been pondering switching to the plush yarn,, but here in canada it is so hard to find and so expensive!!! We don't have a Joanne's or Hobby Lobby so I have been having a hard time sourcing it. Michaels never has stock nor the colours i want :(
Awww!! Ugh yeah, Michaels is the worst with keeping plush yarn in stock. Honestly I find myself using more acrylic yarn nowadays for plushies (minis/keychains) and they are still super cute! Maybe try Hobbii yarns? They usually have a great selection of plush yarn in stock! ❤️

chenille home and sweet snuggles is actually the same brand! they are both loops and threads (I just found that out lol)
I have been crocheting for around 2 years but never got into amigurumi until literally last week. Can you go over the crochet "rules" as in can you sell plushies from patterns you bought from others, do you have to give credit, things like these.

I am unclear about the sunflower turtle pattern; do you sell such a pattern? Do you use your turtle pattern and add the petals from the free Rose and Lilly pattern. I adore it and would like to make a couple for my grandchildren. Thank you!
