The Internationally celebrated World Dance Day is a day set aside (29 April, yearly) to celebrate everything dance; from aerobics, to street dancing, indigenous dances, and modern and classical dance.
In line with the World Dance Day Celebrations 2022, the Centre for National Culture, Cape Coast together with Performing Art Groups in the Capital; Cape Coast, have taken steps to commemorate the event this year, in hopes of expanding it in the coming years.
Artists who participated shared what dance means to them, and encouraged the up and coming youth in the field of dance to be persistent in their field of endeavor.
This documentary was put together with well wishes and some performances from some of the groups, including the Centre's Folkloric Group as a way to reaching out to the world to register their presence.
With sponsorship and planning, World Dance Day would become a huge festival in the near future, creating avenues and spaces for performers from all walks of life to Interact.
