- Its finally here!! The wrap that we have been waiting for has arrived and now we can finish this project up! We are super happy with how its going so far and before you know it, it'll be all done and ripping around! Thanks For Watching!!!

Wrap is good but this build deserves a nice paint job
wrap will last maybe 5 years or so and then peeling it off is a nightmare when jams and all is wrapped. i agree it should just be painted at least black then wrapped.

They will eventually paint it. Pretty sure the choice not to paint it is related to delays in getting the paint and access to paint booth. They want to get videos out every couple days so rather than give us videos of them sitting around doing nothing they will wrap it move on to the next thing and then paint this at a later date
And not paint coat underrap finish in rust most of the time

I have over 10 years in the wrap business. You guys need to POST HEAT the areas you stretch a lot. Get a laser temp gun and use that IR lamp to post heat to 190 degrees. That will kill the vinyl's memory and it wont pull back. I normally hit 200ish degees just to make sure.

I have 17 minutes of wrap knowledge as I watched a couple of crash course youtube video's, you're 100% correct; the wrap needs to be heated up post application so it doesn't shrink back.
I’ve got 30 years and it won’t effect it there not gonna have it on for years

To be honest. It’s gonna look like a giant vanilla ice cream 🍨 driving along the road. The olive 🫒 green would have been perfect. Or there’s one running around in central London with a camouflage wrap. Each to their own. Great to see your dad back up and about!
You guys have amazing talent for sure. Honestly that color makes it look like it was prepped then sprayed with primer and not finished. Then again that's just one person's opinion others may love it! Personally that Matt finish red with the black accent would have looked really good or even a midnight-blue Matt with black accent would have looked really good, then again that's just one person's opinion. Keep up the good work !!
Yeah I think the red or a dark blue would’ve been a way better color. I don’t much care for a tan car.

Color isn't bad, but was hoping for that olive green. I appreciate that you guys are not afraid to take on any challenge, but certain things need specialists. We will see how things go when you hit the integrate, and very detailed areas. Good luck!

Glad to see pops out again hope his health is getting better. I personally would have went with the olive green color that color looks like old primer.
That wrap colour reminds me of primer putty that we used to use back in the day, thicker than regular grey primer so you could get all the pinholes and small scratches covered and then sand everything down. Not a fan of the colour but that's fine, everyone likes what they like. Keep on grinding, love the videos.
It reminds me of the beige colour that hearing aids are.

No doubt painting is expensive and time consuming but given this is a Lambo, I would have stuck with the original plan. Wrapping this whole car, spending big bux on freight, special heat lamps etc isn't cheap either. While wraps are okay, you can always tell and I personally don't care for them. I give you credit for taking it on again, that is how you learn and eventually master. Good to see pops.

I agree. This whole wrapping takes also much time and the results for such a expensive car are not so nice. I should wrap it by a professional because now is it a waste of time and money. And I don't like the colour either. It's now almost similar to the colour of primer
I'm pretty sure this'll be the first one in as soon as they get their own paint booth. They're just trying to get it looking respectable until then, I hope...
they're getting the wrap because they can't get the body looking straight and need to cover things up. They're obviously in over their head.

In my experience, the best wrap is the polar opposite color of the paint, so when you peel it after the bank job it's easy to miss.

I was looking forward to the French Olive color, to me this sand color makes it look a little to militaristic. But that is my opinion, y’all do you! It is your build. Love the channel!! You guys are so blessed to have the family you do and much love to all!!
I honestly do not think Pops can fail to make a hand- he watched you do a little and then started making sure the lamp was right and helping the set up. Glad to see him at the shop and on his game! Really not a fan of the color. But that’s just my opinion. Every one has their own taste. A midnight blue, or a black cherry or even a raspberry red but then again my opinion. Love what y’all do and am glad to see pops up and around I’ll keep him in my prayers.
Also some kind of "slip" spray, usually a combo of dishwashing liquid and water to spray on the surface first, then lay the wrap, then squeegy all the water/trash/bubbles out, prevents it from getting air bubbles and allows the adhesive on the wrap to bond better once everything is dried out
When wrapping a car or anything you need to do something called post heat. This means you need to use a heat gun after on all the panels so the wrap don't start to lift. Hope this helps you boys out.

I'm not crazy about the color but it might grow on me once it's all done and put together. Love the way you don't give up. Keep up the great work.

Great work, it's good to see you learning all the time. Personally I believe it should have been painted, I don't like the beige colour and as for the matt finish, well don't get me started. The TRX with black wheels and a black TRX logo would look sick in this wrap color. Also olive green is another option for it, would look amazing either color!
I painted my truck Desert sand a few years ago with black fender flares. Love this color.

Wrapping is like platina...an excuse to avoid the extra work to get a proper paint job. You guys should definitely paint it. Wrap is very expensive too.

They have said three times at least they’re going to paint it when they have their New paint booth built.

@@Bendejo-lm8wo haha you normally see them paint a panel, bumper or trim. To paint a Urus full body is around 12k. Would you waste 12k on paint for a car that might have bullets in the engine.

this color used to be popular in the 90's. Granted, it wasnt matte, but a lot of sedans were sand, desert sand or some other catchy sand name. I guess it will give it a tank vibe.

The spots in the vinyl on the bonnet Is the glue of the vinyl as you stretch it catches the crease line...happens alot on the avery air release vinyl

TIP: You would have been ok on the roof if you would have placed two strips a knifeless tape or got double tape. That's how you properly join two sheet's for the perfect seam.

Tip for wrapping. When u can make smiley faces with the card thing. Helps work out the bubbles efficiently
The matte red would look amazing with gold/bronze wheels. Kinda like a Lamborghini Miura from the 70s.

mcdonalds spec is a hard no for me. I was thinking olive green for the wrap the red is just too in your face, I prefer classy and subtle but their car their choice
Do not forget to put the ceramic treatment so that the wrap does not stain
Here in Japan, Trades people use modified Toyota HiAce vans. They tend to have white lettered tires and look pretty cool. I would love to see one of these on the channel. It could be kitted out in the back with tools etc.

Hey Guys, Glad to see Pops is back and I hope he is doing better ! I'm still not digging the wrap thing, but its your car I guess.....
I agree with you on the wrap. Wrap is something you turn over to someone who KNOWS what they’re doing. Look at the mistake in res on the front bumper, next day it was pulling and bubbling. Mistakes like that will begin to appear on more noticeable areas in a couple of weeks, maybe a month tor two tops! Regardless, mistakes are WAY more noticeable with wrap (vs paint) and far more labor intensive to repair. My guess is that this will be a daily driver for Simeons young wife - I can’t see many guys picking a beige Urus as their “Lambo or choice”, but I could definitely see many women loving that vehicle and color combo. Just my 2¢ anyway. 👍🏼☮️
