+peter foster thanks Peter. The vitalID stockers are great as they give a clear visible reference for medical services all around the world in the event that the info is needed it's to hand.
I really like the Caberg Tourmax helmet. There is nothing like it here in the USA. For me it looks like it is exactly the helmet I have been looking for...... But I have 1 question, since I ride in a hot climate.... I do not see any place where the air exits the helmet. (Exhaust port). Thank you for the reviews.
Have the Caberg Duke 2. Bad visibility. Inner sun visor does not lower enough and the outer shield does not raise enough when in tucked position. Edges of plastic visors seem to be directly in the center of my line of sight. The angles towards the outer edges of the chin bar cut off peripheral vision. I noticed I had to crank my head more than usual to see behind me. Also the clear outer visor flips up from wind when turning head at 75mph+ This is a very big safety issue as it requires one to be constantly adjusting the visor while riding. I wanted to return it but because I tried it on, I am unable to. $250 paperweight. Oh well.
Shame you had a bad experience with the helmet mate. We found them to be just the job for our needs and haven’t experienced the same issues as you so far
Is the top sun visor/peak interchangeable between Duke and Tourmax? Since they're basically the same model, it's worth a try? I want a high viz helmet for daily commutes and looking for a top sun visor/peak for more touring days. The Tourmax doesn't seem to come in a pure high viz version but the Duke does... Thanks!
+Wim Konings hi, thanks for the question. Unfortunately the visor isn’t interchangeable from the tourmax to the duke as the fixing requires a different shaped visor on the sides. We tried to do this as we have one of each but have to stick to either one helmet or the other :(
I bought a Caberg Duke 2 a couple of days ago but i had to return it the day after because i was not satisfied with how the sun visor did not fully cover my vision, i could see "below" the visor so to speak. Is this something you guys experience as well?
Hey Anders, thanks for the comment. Not had much of an issue with it personally although now you mention it, it doesnt go all the way down, but for me its just right..... im going to notice it now! hahah
I found this too when I first tried the helmet on. Then pulled the helmet down further at the chin (so it's a little higher at the back of the neck) and all feels better and fits better too.
Hello I am thinking of buying this helmet and as you have tested it, I would to ask about your opinion, what do you think of the peak, does it do the job when it's sunny?
Was sitting on a park bench with a member of family, peacefully having a chat when 2 scrotes on a scooter whizzed up the path, and grabbed my Caberg Duke! The scumbag on the back of the scooter (with L plates, stolen the same morning the police told me) wasn't wearing a helmet so I'm guessing that's why he wanted mine. Anyway, I think it's time to get a tourmax... I liked the Duke II but I can see where the sun visor would come in handy, being able to dip your head and block out low sun would be a great safety feature, definitely preferable to using my free hand to shield from the sun.
@@RiderCamTV Yeah thanks mate, I just got the tourmax the other day. It is excellent! I haven't been able to test it against the sun but even at night it's useful for blocking out bright street lights. And the rain protection and noise seem to be slightly lesser with the tourmax, the peak does change its characteristics a bit. Definitely glad I discovered the helmet through this channel :)
It's cheap for a reason ... what use is a sun visor that's operated via a top slide, plus it'll piss water in if u get caught in a downpour, far better lids around under £200.
I've wanted the tour max for ages might have to get one such a good looking helmet
yeah really good fit too, and the price is really good... also has 5 stars in safety tests as well.
can you swap the duke visor and make it into a tourmax by adding the peak?
Do they work well with glasses wearers?
Very interesting video I’ve only just come across your channel ps going to look at a new Cabernet helmet tomorrow
Hi guys, what's the sizing like? I'm a large in the Shoei Neotec would I need to go up a size in the Caberg Tourmax?
another great vid boys keep up the good work ...I like the idea of the paramedics stickers .never seen that before
+peter foster thanks Peter. The vitalID stockers are great as they give a clear visible reference for medical services all around the world in the event that the info is needed it's to hand.
RiderCamTV where can you get them from .I agree what a great idea
+peter foster links should be in the description. Ghost bikes are quite food :)
+peter foster lol. The vitalID. Hahah. Link should be in the description matey. But the company is called vital ID.

Really good review that I've just ordered one £130 brand new absolute bargain.
Hi guys, I bought one today, now i have to wait how it functions. For only € 149,00 it's a steal
How do you get the inner out of the Duke, to wash, having problem getting the back bit out?
The inner doesn’t fully come out unfortunately on the duke. Shame as this is the only annoyance wit the helmet
Hi good video, one question, is the peek removable on the Tourmax so you can use the helmet with or without it, Thank you
yes it is
Good choice, I own a caberg duke too.
very good helmets, and a great price too! :) Ride Safe
And Pin-Lock included.

Does the Tourmax have good enough ear area to accommodate speakers?
Yep. We have our Comms earpieces in there with enough room

Thanks for the reply! I'll keep looking or just buy the Duke and make a cardboard visor with duct tape ... 😏
+Wim Konings no probs matey. You would think that they would make them interchangeable but hey ho.
Well, i did Change it! All you have to do is cut the Visor a bit and there you go!
Hey man. That’s brill. So you got the peak now?

@@RiderCamTV haha sorry!
Same, but I quite like this about it 😛
Still blocks the sun ahead of you but you can see your mirrors through the clear part

100% the peak is great, no buffeting at all and when the sun comes out the peak is in just the right place to shade your eyes
@@RiderCamTV thank you for the prompt answer :)
I all ways buy caberg helmets, great quality for the money. Have had a tourmax for years, a little bit noisy & the peak vibrates at speed.
Iam a jimmy hill lol, would my chin fit , as people say theres not alot of room.
Should fit, although try one one first as it does feel smaller than other helmets

sorry to hear that buddy.... the tourmax is great though and the peak is just long and wide enough to help when riding in the sun
