In honor of Uchiyama Roshi: Daitsu Tom Wright, Arthur Braverman, & Michael Hofmann

On April 25th, 2024 we hosted a discussion with Daitsū Tom Wright, Arthur Braverman, and Michael Hofmann, all of whom spent significant time practicing with Uchiyama Roshi and the sangha at Antaiji in Kyoto in the late 1960's and 70's. In pursuit of continuing to deepen our understanding of what we carry as a dharma family embodying the practice of Sawaki, Uchiyama, and Okumura Roshis in North America and throughout the international Sanshin network, we focused the evening's discussion around the insights and memories of these U.S.-born practitioners who travelled to Japan and experienced Uchiyama Roshi's teaching and practice directly.
