As for the battle itself, it actually poses a challenge if only a little (assuming you don't just slap a poison immunity support onto your build and make this a total cakewalk). Think of this one as diet The Boss with the poison floor, but replace the time limit with Dr. Mario reinforcements. - Hry
If you don't use the Mighty Jingonator on Gruntilda, you bring shame to its Final Battle

The three appearances of a potion-flinging Klungo are a really nice touch
It actually makes sense in terms of King Dedede with a Star rod, cause Broom and Staff. If Beauty Gruntilda was a spirit, it would've been a Green Bayonetta.
It was a pain with this spirit because of those Dr. Mario's, but its satisfying when using the mighty jinjonator to win it.
Using Gruntildas support makes all poison matches look like a joke, ESPECIALLY in poisonous fogs.
Yeah, I was expecting Bayonetta to be Gruntilda, but it turns out Grunty is way too ugly and nasty to be portrayed by a female character. Especially since Bayonetta doesn't even look like an average witch.
The 3 green Dr. Marios all reference the 3 Klungo fights in Banjo Tooie, because in that game, you have to fight Klungo 3 times before fighting Grunty herself.
But, she doesn’t heal you, does she? No, so that role goes to Madama Butterfly

(After Gruntilda loses the fight) Gahh! I’ll beat you up in threeie!
I beat this spirit as Lucina

I love how the entire game dedede spawns with a star rod despite the fact that it only says
“Defeat Main fighter to win”
“The floor is poisonous”
“Stamina Battle”
And the fact he spams foreword smash with the star rod while dr mario spams Neutral B,

My thoughts exactly, my friend. And the Star Rod being her spells.
And similar clothing and demeanor. I thought they'd use the black and purple color which matches Gruntilda but I guess they chose the green alt because Dedede has green skin.
But I think the Dr. Mario’s should stay because they reference all 3 Klungo fights and they only use neutral B because Klungo also throws potions in the game.

I've been saying this from the beginning. Not many female villains in the Smash franchise and certainly not any magical heavyweight ones. Highly missed opportunity. One can only dream for the next Smash game...
