Yeah Jimmy Cassidy was the Conductor, who also worked Passenger Service till Conrail days. When you guys went pass that grade crossing passing Elm Street, a Bar, Jimmy said he used to go into that Bar after bringing the last train to Norristown

To the left of Main Street Station in Norristown, where the Times Herald Building is, used to be Schmidt's Brewery. Crews used to get Beer in there. I knew a Passenger Trainman and Conductor who got locked up for a problem with a Schmidt's Brewery Guard. Danny Platt and Gene Malloy. The Passenger train had to go back with no Trainman and Conductor.

Your videos have kept me company for over a decade. Thank you. Can you recommend any sources for old railroad track maps of Phila? I already looked at Conrail ZTS.

29:02 - Deer crossing. Guess Bambi and its family needed to get across the track.

Much of those bushes needed pruning.

why do the Catenary lines just randomly start in the middle of nowhere? I'm sure 90% of those siding switches havent been opened or used in decades.

The catenary at 6:15 is the SEPTA Main at CP Dale in Lansdale and picks up again at 58:00 on the SEPTA Norristown Line at CP Elm in Norristown. The Stony Creek Branch has no catenary. There are no active customers on the line.
