Cairo is definitely one of our favourite cities in all of Egypt. You can easily spend weeks here, exploring its markets, historic sites, great street food options and so much more! The views from the top of the minaret on the southern gate are really great and offer a new perspective on old Cairo. We finished the day off with some great street food from one of our favourite Egyptian restaurants.

@@a7medsharaf1 Kim's backpack (the green one) is the Osprey aether, Naick's is the Deuter Aircontact. Both are about 50l backpacks and really suit our needs. Its best to go to a shop and put weight in it (about 10kg) and see the fit. If you have the choice, we would recommend the Deuter brand as it is more durable than the Osprey.

There is something about these mega-cities that we really love. Cairo is amazing and wonderful and it wears you down as well haha. We've been in India now for almost two weeks (we have a bit of a back log) and it is quite the adventure... It is probably the most surprising country we've been to.

Oh yes they do haha. Especially at the pyramids. There were so many people asking for pictures. People are so kind here that we couldn't say no.

The part we didn't like so much was the cleanliness. A lot of places and buildings, hotels, trains, etc. could be so much better with a bit more cleaning and maintenance.
