I could be mistaken, but I believe the games mentioned here are the one that just entered the "PlayStation Hits" collection where they're super cheap and have the red box. Seeing as God Of War just came out it wouldn't be in the Hits collection just yet.

I think what he means by he was ''too good'' is that he was cruising through some areas until he hits a wall. I've experienced this on Dark Souls when I played. Few areas goes really well, you're in the rhythm, you're awesome, then you get demolished by Ornstein and Smough for 3 hours. The defeat feels a hundred times worst because you were cruising through

Judging by how happy you were with Persona 5, I have to beg you to play Persona 4. It might not quite reach that style factor of P5 yet. And when it comes to any Persona, you really need to get yourself into something entirely new, because while the systems and character designs are similar, the themes, story and music are completely different each time. But if you get yourself into it, the characters and everything is just so lovable, the story is very coherent, much more concentrated in this one town, much deeper and has a very strong connection with the underlying theme (again, a very different one from P5). It's very bold to say that, because graphically you need to go two steps back, but I would state that if you liked P5, you will love P4.
In terms of versions P4 has an absolute ultimate version, which is Persona 4 Golden. Before you say "but that's only on Vita", we can be happy to have this at all, because P3 also has multiple versions but no ultimate one. So try to borrow a Vita or get a cheap used PSTV for like 50 bucks or so (a micro-console which can play hundreds of PSOne, PSP and PSVita games, but for most it's just the "P4G-dongle for your TV"). Or if you really, really don't want to spend more than the absolute necessary and are able to play PS2 games, you might as well play the original P4. But keep in mind that you miss out on a lot of extra content, a progressive 16:9 image, the ability to fast forward, a better shuffle-time, better monster behavior, lots of quality of live improvements, a very important tweak to the story, lots of events, a new character, the whole ability to go out by night, a new month with snow, new music, a new dungeon, new personas, new voice-acting and so on. The list of changes is quite long.

Totally agree with Rob. The Batman games are not just the single best superhero/comic based games ever made but they're some of the best games you can play PERIOD. Not sure why Knight gets so much hate. In terms of story, yes AC was better but Knight significantly improved on literally everything else; expanded the gameplay, looked better visually, episodic dlc, more detailed world to play in, etc. I think people are forgetting how great that game was and are dismissing it because the story of City was a little bit better.

it had an abysmal launch on PC (only ran remotely proper on high end rigs) and ppl felt it fell back on the bat mobile too often
It was great it was delayed like twice but it does have everyone in it from batman to Batgirl and it's probably going to be better then spiderman

I started playing Yakuza 0 a few days ago and I am incredibly enjoying it!
It was because of Hollies' recommendation that I picked up Yakuza 0 in April after I finished God of War, and played it a little every day until I finished it a few weeks ago! Fantastic game, really absorbed me, and the story really hooked me! Anyone who hasn't played it should really give it a try! Thank you Hollie for introducing me to a great series! :)

I too recently picked up and started playing Yakuza 0, and whilst its certainly an entertaining time, I do find the basic over-reliance on combat repetitive and the dialogue scenes a bit too over-long, as lots of dialogue scenes in Japanese games tend to be. Still, I can't enjoy the bizzare side-stories enough, and the general dissonance between the very serious storytelling and the hilariously over-the-top violence is a hoot! Not to mention all the thugs looking for a fight on every street corner, which, I can personally attest, is exactly what Japan is like - aboslutely filled to the brim with violent miscreants!

It's not really my loss. I played it and had fun with it. All I said was I got bored with it fairly quickly. I even mentioned that Lu-Tang might enjoy it more than I did. Being triggered so easily is never a good look Cup, my friend ;).

THE game that every PS4 owner needs to play is simple PERSONA 5! Without question it was the best game released in 2017, it's got one of the most amazing soundtracks of all time, it just oozes style at every possible point (even the menus are a joy to scroll through) and with the exception of about a half hour slump about 55 hours into the story it's damn near perfect. Persona 5 is goddamn masterpiece and if you haven't experienced it yet then give it a go and trust me, you'll never see it coming.
P.S. What is that watch Hollie is wearing and wear can I buy it?

LifeIsABeach3210 because Arkham City is better. The overuse of the batmobile and it’s repetitive gameplay as well as the predictable villain review makes it not that amazing in my opinion. There are certainly better games out there and better Arkham games.

Totally Agree with Hollie's pick! I had 3, 4 and 5 but never played one of them until kiwami came out. It was the first Yakuza game I've played and I immediately fell in love with the art, the gameplay, the narrative... What an awesome series!
Own all these games except Batman. I haven't got to play them yet. I got my PS4 a couple of years ago and there is just so many good games out plus when you find of you really like that and want to 100% it, just so much. Plus with the BO4 coming out it's just like well there goes more time due to trying to complete zombie Easter Eggs with friends. Plus owning all three systems and my backlog just gets more insane. I'm waiting to play Yakuza til I own them all tho. I need to play through the Nathan Drake collection before I start 4. I did play them on PS3 but it's been so long ago. I've been meaning to start Bloodbourne but I feel like it's one those games I got to fail a bunch and take forever to beat I want to wait til have time to dedicated to it. Never really been fan of Batman. Borrowed Arkman City I believe and just didn't enjoy it.

I feel that Last of Us is more like PS3 game. But if you never had PS3 or don't have it anymore, then Last of Us is absolute 'must have' on PS4.
So many games I could choose! The 1 that first made me go "woah" is Assassin's Creed Black Flag. It came with my bundle when I got my first PS4. Not being much of a fan of the series I wasn't expecting much but it drew me in instantly. That very first time you got to take control of a ship must have caused the biggest smile on my face. The game just got better & better after that

I am 80 hours in Witcher 3 and know for a fact that I'm only a few story quests away from beating it. There have been some nice moments and quests, but overall I find it kind of boring. Also, the combat has always felt a little bit off for me.

I would recommend PS4 owners to get Yakuza Zero. It's graphics may be disappointing at times and some of the new games we have now may have a bigger open world but despite the size of the open world in these games, I still had more fun playing Yakuza Zero. Why is that you ask? Maybe it's because of the mini-games. My 2 favourite mini-games are the karaoke and the dancing. The ones I didn't mention can be pretty fun too. Of course, that isn't to say that mini-games are the sole reason for playing Yakuza Zero. Yakuza Zero's combat is pretty good too. Yakuza Zero also has an interesting plot/story [in my opinion] The other Yakuza games are pretty good too. The top 2 Yakuza games for me right now are Yakuza Zero and Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Am interested in Witch and Hundred Knight but I am scared it's not worth a purchase.
I bought yakuza 0 a few days ago but I'm yet to play it because I bought DMC devil may cry alongside it when they were both below £10 each and I'm currently progressing up the difficulties of DMC all the way to "hell and hell" mode.

Bigbad Crawford Yusuke is a little one dimensional and is definitely the odd ball of the group. I completely understand what you mean by repetitive if you're referring to dialogue, in regards to messages or just random passers by it keeps reiterating or paraphrasing about incidents you already know about and have completely moved on from. I personally skip those kinds of dialogue because it's filler and doesn't really impact the story. I can understand the criticism but despite all that, this is definitely the number 1 game for PS4 and is in my top 5 game's of all time. By not continuing you have missed out on a huge amount of game, especially the ending which is just absolutely amazing, though the 3rd palace is a bit bland and is pretty tough if you're playing on hard or above.
The PS3 version is pretty good too, actually

With New York appearing again in next weeks Spiderman game after having not been seen in a decent map in a while. You guys should do one for your favorite cities to visit in a video game.

I think everybody need Horizon Zero Dawn in their collection. It's just the perfect game, don't know how I would improve it, it's brilliant... I had to stop playing batman arkham knight because the batmobile sequence sucks. Or more like I suck at these sequence. :( but the first two were absolutly brilliant

Agree. HZD is the real GOTY 2017 but it can also be improved.
I got bored of the gameplay really quick i found myself waaay more interestef in the story about everything that happend before the game

The story in horizon is moviestuff. Its a really good story with a unqiue story telling with the holograms and time line its told. Its not really about to like aloy its about to understand who she is. I dont think there is any game with same gameplay. You are wrong with uncharted... are the same. They have a completly other gameplay.
So many good games, I was really surprised by Persona 5, and how great that game is, and started to go back to play the other ones

I just bought a ps4 couple months ago and I been beasting exclusives in my free time so far I’ve bought and played last of us, horizon, god of war, persona 5, nier, uncharted collection and 4, bloodborne, nioh, until dawn, no mans sky, and Nino Kuni 2 and I’m having so much fun with all of em, great system 💯

Hollie wins. I've been gaming for decades and I'm a little bit angry that no one ever forced me to play Yakuza before I picked up Yakuza 0 completely at random. It's an amazing game and I can't believe this series never hit my radar. You could disagree with me and that's fine. But please know that if you do you're a complete prat.
Yakuza 0 was very good. Kiwami was trash
