  • This Documentary Film takes you along on an adventure to one of the most mysterious places on earth- the abandoned coastal town of Port Chatham, aka Portlock, Alaska. In September of 2018, Stephen Major of Extreme Expeditions Northwest, LLC led the first ever Bigfoot research team into Port Chatham (aka Portlock) Alaska in an attempt to obtain definitive proof of the existence of the Legendary Alaskan Bigfoot known as the Nantiinaq -"Hairy Man".
Additionally, we are very pleased to announce that our upcoming 3rd Annual Spokane Valley Sasquatch Roundup will be happening Saturday June 17th, 2023 from 9:00am to 5:30pm at the Spokane Valley Event Center. For tickets and information please visit www.exnorthwest.com

      LMFAO I'm dying.
I'm Quileute from WA, but the cultures are all so common being absorbed by bigger tribes over the thousands of years. We have similar stories and lore that seem common, but are not. The term "se'sxac" means "wild man" in Salish. Now though, ppl call it "Sasquatch". Yes...the legend is a Salish lore. It does not mean anything hairy at all.
But if you go to the Pacific coast of WA and you will find tribes, including mine, that have ogre looking women. Not hairy men. She is called "Duskiya" - (ddus-kee-a) is the easiest way to say it in English. But she was covered in Seaweed, always had a back pack and wondered the woods at night to capture kids, take them home and eat them. She was also very tall. But she was also a children's tale to keep them in camp at night.
Also, these ppl don't know what they are talking about in those woods. They are literally on the tourist trails. Unless an animal is sick, ain't nothing coming to check you out in the day. They also talking about native things that aren't actually stuff we believe. You can take shit from an old building. He have no crazy crap like that. It's only in the Holy places and that land is no where near the holy places. The 2nd shack was built very recent too. And the fkn trees aren't dead either. He's an idiot. Wearing jeans in that wet...its pretty funny.

City folk don't understand that when you spend enough time in the woods, inexplicable stuff starts to happen. Last summer hiking with my dog, we both heard the sound of a big tree being smashed 3 times in a row. Not cut, not broken. Smashed. One's 1st thought is that you're hearing a tree falling down. But I've heard and seen trees fall since I work in landscaping and have felled trees myself. This sound was different and exactly as I describe it. The sound was a distinct smashing, like something big was punching or chopping wood with its hands! I'm not crazy because my dog heard it too. I was too afraid to go investigate it. I wish I wasn't such a wuss. The experience was surreal.

Except that some of the first stuff I noticed was staged -- like at 23:45, for instance. He comes up the hill, stops and looks around (as if he's the first of the group to reach that spot)...seemingly not noticing that the cameraman is already there, filming him doing it. That shot wasn't 'staged?' Or at 28:57, when the 'lead' guy suddenly walks into view, stops, and calls back that he 'thinks he sees a building up ahead.' The cameraman was already there to capture the whole scene, beforehand (that scene wasn't even naturalistic, at all). It's easy to miss or forget, but remember that everything you see, the shot was set up first and the cameraman was there, already -- even though we're supposed to forget he even exists and that all this stuff is just happening 'spontaneously.' I could also have done without the annoying (and often-excessively-loud) music. Just like in a church alter call, if you have to emotionally enhance your message with music, then you really don't have much of a message. I'd much prefer it with far less music and more of just the natural sounds of the scene.

The legend of the hairy man and all those people disappearing, all that happened up in those mountains behind Port Chatham. Hunters would go up into those mountains hunting dall sheep, deer and moose and never return. when search parties went searching for them they would find their mutilated bodies up in the mountainous areas behind Port Chatham.... The mutilations were not done by teeth or claws.. and it seemed that predators would not go near these bodies. if they expect to find the hairy man or real evidence of it they're going to have to go back in those mountains

I am sure that this group had an interesting time. However, It is obvious that they know little or nothing about Sasquatch. They had a very minor knowledge of the hairy man. Besides everything else they were totally unprepared for the danger they were in. To think that they could capture a big foot with a trail cam is incredibly naïve based on what is known about them at this point. Plus allowing two days time to look for a creature that hasn’t been observed by people who spent years in the forest. It is only lately that people are beginning to have significant observations of the Bigfoot clans. That is because of several serious researchers describing known habits and methods of hiding. That doesn’t even touch the supernatural capabilities observed by hundreds if not thousands of people. It was a documentary worth watching but was not a serious attempt to investigate Sasquatch.

I think these guys knew precisely what to do. They basically wanted to make a polished, artistic (both aesthetically and technically) perfect presentation. I don't think they were really *that* into serious "Saquatchism" and as part of this effort, they spent some regulation time at and around deserted Port Chatham. I don't think that any predator, including Sasquatch, would linger around its old haunts especially if its prey had deserted the place for a considerable amount of time; it would have definitely moved on to other locales. And this group was betting on that hunch, too, I guess. In the process they shot a lot of good footage, which was edited down to a beautifully-controlled Presentation, interesting enough for newbies and armchair enthusiasts (like us) to get a share of the excitement, to glimpse the raw nature of Alaska and also hope to get a fleeting shot at capturing a menacing creature on film.

I have never seen one but see what they can do to trees. Just the other night I met a retired FED. and I asked him if he was ever sent to peoples sightings. He said no, but one night when he was looking for poachers at night he had a tree branch hit his truck when he was parked on a dead end spur road. When he got out he heard another branch hit his truck. Then he used his flashlight to see what was doing it, and a small branch almost hit his light. That's when he got the hell out of there! After talking to him he said he really thinks they are real! I have another story about an old friend that shot a Mexican when he thought he was a bear! The retired FED told me he was on that case! If I recall correctly the history of Portlock abandonment involved strange attacks and noises. People were lost in the woods. People were killed. In wild areas you respect all of nature. There are still many unknowns in the wilderness. It's not only confirming hairy man exists. There are groups who specialize in studying our many vastly unknown parts of earth. One piece I know a bit more about is the ocean. You're not going to hang out overnight on land if the last person left because he got too close to being killed. Be safe. There isn't always enough safety in numbers.

You gotta understand that right from the onset ,an " expedition" searching for Nantinaak, will fail....too many bodies, too much noise,. Lack of an overnight onshore campout...etc..the moment you bring a boat within a quarter mile of the portlock shore... bigfoot has ran for the hills...lol...! Setting up minimum 5 miles from shore and sleeping in the woods
With 2 ppl maximum...for no less than 90 days , would undoubtedly yield solid " bring back" evidence..you have to be willing to remain down wind and a hundred % silent for up to 8 hrs at a time!!!.... conducting any other business while in the woods is your best chance of attracting them....they are curious by nature...if you appear to be doing something other than conducting a " recon" to search for them...they will potentially come to treepeek..... and yep, bringing woman, is another great bet...they are always an item of curiosity!! When I finally see something though my scope, I forget to press the record button".... Really? Oh yeah, 1:18:00, I also bought a brand new camera and have no clue how to use it. It would be very interesting yes, but, almost everyone that lived there will be dead, as from what I've heard and heard from documentaries, no one has lived there since the 1950s and must of been at least in their early 20s going out hunting etc, , so they'll be in there late 90s +,if they're alive, 😁,, so that explains why you couldn't find any on CZcams, stay safe, :-)

@@Straightahead101 Actually there is, but no one on here understands what it really is. This will, in all probability sound more crazy to you than it already does. My personal belief with a knowledge of the history of mankind through the Bible and the fact that 200 fallen angels also called " the watchers " came down to earth and mated with human women which created the GIANTS which history has turned into fable to hide this fact. The fallen angels also conducted genetic DNA manipulation which DID create human - animal hybrids ( egyptian statues.) The great flood of Noah was sent to exterminate these genetic monster abominations before they killed off all of humanity. Noah and his family were some of the very last genetically pure humans left. I believe the bigfoot race are leftover and evil survivors of this dna manipulation and may even practice magic which could explain their disappearing acts. Genesis 6 :4 " There were giants in those days AND ALSO AFTER THAT. " I also think they live in underground cave systems. I've seen tracks and heard their knocks about 30 minutes from my home in Wa. state.
