1984 was one of Press Your Luck's golden years
40 years ago, with some of the biggest winners on, press your luck
“Michael Larson, Two Day Champ” BRUH JUST BECAUSE HIS EPISODE WAS TWO PARTS DOESNT MEAN ITS 2 SEPARATE EPISODES.
Originally I was mad at Michael Larson for continuing to spin but never thought for a moment he memorized the board because - like everyone else - I believed it was completely randomized. He simply beat the system. But think about the enormity of what he did: recalling five or more patterns of 18 squares - that's at least 90 possible combinations. I can't even remember my damn password half the time! 😂 Great compilation! 👍🏾
The 🤴 of all kings 🤴 Michael Larson 👑
21:44 - Instant celebration.
You forgot Bob Brown Becky and Cindy.
Pagie as well! At the last question in round 1, the "N" in SPINS falls off
Good gravy they won't stop winning the dough!
Just a note, BUZZR...
There is NO reason why Michael had to feel guilty for winning as much as he did on PYL, even though he researched the Big Board's tech from his living room couch.
It was ALWAYS the fault of those who were part of the production crew & CBS for programming too few patterns into the Big Board.
He just wanted to break the hubris that he saw going around there. And I do applaud him for helping to make PYL a better show in the end.
2 notes here as well....A] Michael challenged the producers of the show at that time to hold a special Tournament of Champions, because he was confident that, even though by that time the Big Board's tech was expanded with more patterns, he could break the bank again. But CBS and the Carruthers Company turned him down (though I do wonder how he would've done being back under the lights).
B] The reason why Michael also went after the $500-$750-$1,000 + One Spin box on the right side of the Big Board was to try to throw the scent off the producers. Had he gone ONLY at Box #4 at the top (the Big Bucks box), and hit NOTHING other than that, then the producers would have stopped the taping, and likely DQed Michael on the spot.
Just some observations from a Canadian PYL fan. X-)

Yea, saving the best for last.

Of course, on The Price is Right, they had two big winners at least that year, John Herring, who won almost $40,000 in prizes and Cadillac Fleetwood, and Diana, who won $41,000+ in cash and Cadillac and prizes.
You forgot about Bob at the end of December 1984

Was Susan the record holder till Larson
The upgrade version is better with Elizabeth banks
BUZZR - are we going to see clips of the biggest winners of PYL for 1985?
Honorable mention: Gene Snyder 2 day champion $31362
what happened to PYL winner Bob Brown who won $58,232 after Randy retired ?
3:00 I don't understand why Allen pass with 0 points
Alan felt that he's too far back to catch Susan, so he instead wants to pass his spins to Susan so that there is a chance she will hit a whammy and then all three contestants will have to come back and play again. This situation happened a few times during Press Your Luck years.
In terms of the Michael Larson case, Ed and Janie been given a second chance at Press Your Luck because of what Larson did on that episode at 18:51?
Sorry Michael you're canceled
