Gaming test - Xiaomi 13T Pro with Dimensity 9200+ chipset | 🤔 Snapdragon should be worried?
Vložit

- From what I can see, this new Dimensity 9200+ is very close to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2's performance. However, it isn't as efficient. Granted, I don't know the render resolution.

Mediatek handles thermals better than apple did on iphone 15
You want to know what apple did better? They did better on taking people money😂😂😂
@@mohdsalman2077absolutely 😂
Not an Apple fan ,using Pixel 7 Pro now but uh .. 120fps is double the frames compared to 60fps on android genshin .. also... 15 Pro doesn't have big VC like 13T Series ... soooo not surprising there
@@kyosukeshidou1370No when you setting 120FPS it still 60FPS then drop more
@@quangaupham9329 Technically .. on a Technical Perspective .. due to how stupid the phone build and how high the CPU Frequency is .. of course its gonna DROP MORE on a 120fps since it uses MORE Power which Generates MORE HEAT and causes a major THROTTLE .. good sir ...

Thank you for the video NL Tech!👍
Subscribed now. Nice review. 😀
Thanks for the sub!
Mediatek should consider changing their chipset name. The name sounded cheap to me, and I always overlooked their branding name, but the performance is outstanding and good for daily use. When I am searching for a new smartphone, I don't know why I tend to be attracted to the Snapdragon chipset. Maybe because their brand is shining more. Genshin Impact is not my favorite game. It's not like I don't play Mihoyo, but since it's a time-consuming game, I'd rather choose Honkai Impact 3. But this is a great video to show its performance capabilities. BTW, fantastic review!
Thanks for watching and yes - I agree with your consensus with MediaTek chips. Their naming isn't particularly making sense most of the time and their branding isn't that strong.
I think the reason why people in general are gravitating towards Snapdragon is because of branding strength and also just the vast amount of phones using Snapdragon chips in the market. MediaTek always get sidelined.
it not just branding problem, the mediatek's chip architecture is often unoptimized compared to snapdragon, this is why mediatek is cheaper and less efficient.
@@stevenknight95
at least its far better than exynoss
Dimensity 9000 sounds more intimidating than snapdragon even the adreno name is suck compared to the name immortalis... say no more
Change the name Mediatek --> Jesters Lab
Jesters Lab Dimensity 9000+
Sounds awesome
I will subscribed because you always test the phone in gaming to see the real results unlike the others tech reviewer were all assumptions.

Any word about emulators? I'm curious about how Citra will perform in this processor, specially compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
Can't say much about it, but I think it's better on Snapdragon since emulator developers aim for Snapdragon phones

As a pc gamer i find it difficult to play with a gamepad let alone on a touch screen. At the very least they should put two buttons on the side of the phone to replace R1 and L1 in case of a playstation controller.
Android couldn't get native controller support and more than 60fps (without 3rd party tools) because of Apple and Mihoyo exclusive agreements. Apple used money to make Android genshin inferior.
Может стоит добавить еще некоторые игры в тесты, например war thunder mobile, тяжёлая игра, хорошо подойдёт для тестов, и трассировку лучей поддерживает
Can i ask? I have dimensity 8100 phone and the chip incompatible with software button mapping. What about this one because someone said its phone software not the processor
Both parts play a role here. I think the chipset's instruction set doesn't jive with the app and the app didn't update to support the chipset.

It's just using asymmetrical stereo speakers. Many phones are doing this. The earpiece is the second speaker.

wow. i have 13t its can reach 45°c and got performance limited for a minute. its stuck on 44,5° and doesn't hit 45°c. 8200 i think thats enough to run genshin highest. but the heat will limited its performance. prefer run it on medium 60fps. i play on similar room temp, no cooler just rubber case i have black varian too. its just $420 phone. and have nice performance after f5
I'm guessing the case is the biggest problem here. Either way, 45°C is still safe.

Google is giving 7 years Android and security updates its coming products.
Xiaomi should also follow this
I don't know anyone who keeps his smartphones for 7 years

Performance is one half of the story, efficiency is the other half.
Also frame drops are always going to happen. It's the frame rate consistency that matters more.

i have test Sd8g2 and D9000+
it seems this D9200+ only like 10% better gpu than D9000+ in term in real time performance... i saw it still drop few frame in domain which is not good for high end chipset... domain is the most easier to have highest fps due to very minimal rendering and all gpu can focus on reaction and other which is SD8G2 can do all reaction in domain with no frame drop but D9200+ is a good choice for budget gaming 👍🏻
i hope the next dimensity can have stable 60fps as good as SD8G2 or better
It's still not as good as 8 Gen 2 but it's close. I have to applaud Mediatek for doing a good job. The Snapdragon monopoly needs to be broken.

Can you guys test if the 13T has the same "frame insertion/interpolation" feature that available on Redmi K60 Ultra?
It is basically double the FPS that a game running, Genshin Impact can be played at 120 FPS, for more detail this covered on Gizmochina channel on Redmi K60 Ultra review, but i cant find any youtuber that cover this feature on Xiaomi 13T, please test it if you can, thanks.
Nope, that feature is not available on this phone. I think it's for the China ROM version only?
Also, frame insertion will make things go blurry or unclear for a split second, which will be rather distracting and nauseating for fast-paced games. Something like NVIDIA's Frame Generation
Thats why i didnt like 13t pro. Im waiting to buy k60 ultra
that thing exist ?
i remember hearing such features on iqoo 11 if im not wrong
@@lokism7640 yes there is, i think realme GT Neo 3 was the one started it, incorporating additional Chip, PixelWorks, that help render the interpolation thing, playing game like Genshin on 90 FPS, the GPU on SoC ran it at 45 FPS, and that PixelWorks chip doubles that to 90 FPS, on MOBA games, like Wild Rift for example, the FPS counter at the top displayed 45 FPS, but actually you playing it at 90 FPS, this additional frame cannot be measured on apps like PerfDog, etc, so we have to record it on slow motion to proof it
On IQOO 11 or IQOO 11S, Genshin Impact can be played at higher FPS, which is 144 FPS, but with drawback like NL Tech mentioned it above, but i actually enjoyed this on MOBA games, it really smoothen the play, ease the GPU by lowering the native FPS which result less throttling or heat, and also without input lag or anything that disturb the play
For more details you can watch chinese youtuber that cover this feature nicely on their review
