- Welcome to Chapter One. We cannot prolong the prologue any longer. We did it! We bought our official retirement home in Jamaica! Hear all about the ideas we have for this fixer-upper and watch until the end to hear about the history this home has with my wife's family. We also take some time to shop around Costco for the weekly essentials and enjoy the sunrise of Kauai down at Kalapaki Beach.

Partnership is everything. It makes life so much better when finances are shared, agreement etc. Hawaii has always been costly, so is Jamaica but the American currency is worth more in Jamaica.

If I may correct you on one thing, Jamaica is not a definition of a third world country, we are a small free developing island, That's a western mentality, third world country was those countries coined in times of cold war, that were neither alliance with west and east, communist bloc.

How much are the houses in st Mary and what did you pay for your house ?...
Here's a link for properties for sale in St. Mary currently. We bought ours for 13.5 million or $87,000 as a fixer upper and have put another $60,000 or so fixing it up.
