@PaMuShin great ideas, when Sifu gets back in town we plan on doing a podcast! And we will upload footage of the seminar he just hosted in Berlin last week.
Suggestions? Fight a boxer! Sorry but you asked for it 😂
Greetings from an old leung ting practitioner from spain my friend.
Are these concepts applicable also when you are in a muay Thai or boxing stance? What are the adjustments? Do these drills work also on the ground and/or with your back against the wall?
This guy is showing you the external mechanics. Very cool but there are levels to it. I suggest that you check out Nima King to get introduced to the internal force that powers it all. That will really blow your mind. He's in some of the Martial Man episodes and has a school in Hong Kong.
@@Bonsai-Sagecorrect there are different levels, can’t show them all in 1 video though, there is more to come!
You know wing chun is an applicable martial art when Ilan is open-minded enough to gain a lot of value from this lesson.
I teach Martial Arts for over 10 years by now. I have watched thousands of Vids on MA. This is by far the most understandable, most applicable video I have ever seen. Thanks a lot!
@@FlorisGerber Much appreciated!
Best explanation of the drill. Thanks for posting.
There are many people who are talented at performing the techniques, but most are not good at communicating.
Thanks, much appreciated!
Finally a correct Bong Sau. Somewhere in the past 40 yrs the tradition has been lost. Because it was always said, “Bong Sau is seen in Transition.” You don’t throw it up as a *Block* but rather it is a transitional movement that is created by situational awareness. This video is a gem among all of CZcams.
Also, lol this is probably the cleanest, neatest Kungfu school I’ve ever seen
@@EliteBlackSash thank you very much for your comment, much appreciated!
It is so good to see real Leung Ting Wing Tsun....its very seldom on CZcams

true!
Dude, yes. I've watched every one of this series at least 15 times I've been so starved for insightful WT teaching online.
Ting is a fraud and a charlatan.
SO right!!! We do something similar in Kyo-Jitsu Ryu. The opponent is the train. We are the track. The track DOES nothing except be a track. Yet, the train turns. The faster and more powerful the train, the faster it turns.
Ok, I like this Guy! Any trainer willing to take a smack to the face to teach is a trainer I'll learn from. "Go ahead Bro hit me, I'm not worried about getting hurt I'm worried about making you good". Top notch!
@@jackmuaddib3745 thank you, come on over to train!, let’s go!
Sifu Milos is an extraordinary teacher!
It's teaching the consept of sticky hands very good!
I did 3 years Wing Chun ( Gary lam lineage) with very good teachers in Greece.
Most People doesn't know, that Wing Chun is not only a Martial Art, but it's like BODY SCIENCE!
Thank you for your efforts, for all traditional Martial Arts!
I wish you health and prosperity! 🙏
Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
You are an incredible teacher
@@shilmanmartin thank you!
I did the reverse same thing and learned a lot about grappling, but I used to teach Wing Chun and this is the kind of exercise I would immediately start with martial artists from other styles - that way, they come back as they can see the point of your art, and you can learn from them. A very good video.
Wow, thanks for the Video, man! What a great teacher!
By the way: Now have a look at okinawan Karate again. Because this is the distance, most of the "katas" are really meant for. Example 13:51: Your reaction leads to a position EXACTLY teached this way by Gojus Kata "Shisochin". Give it a quick research, you will see by yourself easyly.
In Okinawa this type of (chisao-like) exercises are called "Kakie". Without knowing (and practicing) this type of contact and close distance, Karate and its Katas would be senseless indeed.
Also superinteresting to see you adapt quickly to your technics. Thanks for this demonstration!
Thank you!
@@MYVLMA Uhhhh sorry, its your Chanel! Didnt notice it 😅 The note about okinawan karate was more made for your buddy in the video. Maybe its interesting anyway.
You guys are awesome. A true treasure.
Without taking any merit; 2:03 This worked particularly well because of your bjj background where you learnt how to relax and follow flow in the first place. Amazingly done, thanks for sharing 👍🙏
Sifu Miloš this is an amazing video! Your explanation and demonstration / live lesson with Coach Ian. My Mind is blown away. I spent 4 months learned WC at another school and am still confused and don't know how any of the drills work or how to use them in action but your video did what 4 months of me going to another school couldnt do. Your explanation of Chi sau, the Sunken elbow conept and especially how to use Bong Sau is used and the when to use it! Detailed yet so Concise Sifu! This explanation of Chi sau is the best I've ever seen online and connects to almost all ranges of fighting. This reminds me a bit of the old Boxers and Puglist's Thank you again Sifu Miloš and Coach Ian.

Real training
Excellent! Principles and structure first, techniques second.
it is funny how vt became so much more effective compared to classic wc.
I would like to see more sparring footage, as I am fascinated and curious as to how these techniques would look in sparring. As well as how they would look in live grappling situations.
Sean Strickland's long guard is kind of like Wing Chun. And some Wing Chun people forget to retract their hands once they are too far . Strickland retracts both his hands into modified philly shell once he is too far, which is the correct thing to do.
So awesome! This is explained so well, such great content. Thanks so much to both of you!

Super!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great
It’s great for grappling, it’s also great for old fashioned waltzing, or anything when you are touching someone.
Awesome video!! 💯
This is what WT'lers have been missing: an openness to other martial artists and the skill to back it up. There is a commenter below who said he would like to see this used under sparring conditions. I'll second that - but I know how it usually ends.
@@thewingtsunsparringchannel6281 thank you for your comment, much appreciated! Have a blessed day.
You can see that Wing Chun is a standup grappling system and can easily set up a variety of throws. You will also note that Wing Chun is a vicious Elbow system.
You get it…👍🏼

I am extremly skeptical of Wing Chun, and I have to say this is probably one of if no the best demonstrations of why Wing Chun may have some value.
I really wish people that try to trash talk about "teh street" would take note of this. Instead of trying to make claims about being better in a no rules environment, actually show the Chun working with resistance. This is a much better demonstration that just making claims about street fighting as an excuse.
@@volatileepiphanies5547 WC has a bad rep because 99% of the Instructors are incompetent and don’t commit to its true values. Thanks for your comment and subscribe for more content coming soon!
@@MYVLMA if you meed masters like Milos you just feel helpless. I practices WT 30 years ago with Sifu Schembri in Switzerland and had that experience weekly
Tae Kwon Doe works good in fights against bullies
Connection.
Isn't this quite true?
I think it's close to the fusion of wrestling and punching of UFC champion DC. I was only disappointed with this kind of thing, but this might be good.
You could cut the bromance with a knife.
Kiss already so we can focus on the technique
Is this Wing Tsunami ha...I went to an Emin Boztee seminar long ago around 2000, is this same Tsun lineage. I am only to use a Straight Blast in MMA in 2000, and again in 2001 in Daidojuku
Thank you!
I would like to see more videos with this Ving Tsun teacher because he is excellent. I noticed IIan constantly tried to show this teacher what he does with his grappling or striking as the Sifu is trying to teach. There is a time and place for that but not when you are getting a lesson from another teacher. I realize this current generation did not learn that or possibly could not understand that. Even with that Sifu Milos continued to make the lesson/demo work for youtube. But a lot of Sifu's would say something like are you here to learn or are you here to teach me what you do? I am sure IIan is a very nice guy and he does not realize its disrespectful to constantly show what you do when your in an actual lesson but empty your cup man with all respect.🙏
I understand where you're coming from entirely, however, part of this video was to help Ilan understand how to close the mid gap range WT style. Anyways, it greatly showed how well WT can compliment other styles such as BJJ in this case. I myself think it was actually rather impressive to see Ilan follow through with his own attacks or takedowns after such a brief introduction to chi sau-- you can tell he is a very skilled martial artist in his own right and I don't think he was there for just a straight and pure WT lesson or else I'm sure he would have emptied his cup and taken in the lesson itself more.
@@KryptcTV That´s right. Ilan is a very exceptional guy!
Thank you very much for your comment! Yes, you are right in general, and I have approached a lot of martial artists as you described. But Ilan is very different and exceptional! That´s why I like him so much and I am looking forward to do more stuff with him. Just a little bit of background info. We talked about all those things and I encouraged him to do what ever he wants or needs to do, to see and experience if it works for or on him. So, everything what we do is agreed between us. Ilan is a true fighter and martial artist who would never cross lines!
I share the same opinion like you do, about respecting a teacher and his work and so does Ilan.
I like that people like you address awareness about traditional values.
Sifu is so confident and un- insecure that he doesn't even care but I see what you're saying plus if elan keeps it up that problem won't exist in the future
Could not disagree more. Ilan displayed zero disrespect, he was simply showing applications. Jesus dude.

@MYVLMA exactly Sifu, I'd say WC is a "clinch striking concept" fighting and in many aspects it's not taught as such and can cause confusion
Distorted arms.
I mean…this is beautiful but not functional. There have been zero serious kung fu champions in MMA. IF you train this and get into a street fight with a high school wrestler…they’re gonna beat yo arse! This would work with a drunken bar idiot…maybe. If you’re only going to train 1 martial art it better be jiu jitsu. It’s the only 1 that offers replicable results regardless of Body type or power. If you can train two or 3….Jits, wrestling, muythai, and maybe a little boxing. Then your Batman. Leave the kung fu for the movies. It’s where it belongs….along with Aikido.
I understand where you coming from, but there is a saying in my country Serbia "Samo dodji i vidi" - Just come and find out.
God bless you
@@MYVLMA we’ve already found out. It’s called the UFC. the list I gave you above….is the discovered list. Kung fu ain’t on it.
