Wow! These trainer series bring up a lot of good memories of starting out flying RC airplanes. Nice job John. Great camera work Dave.
Thanks Bill. It is nice to dial things back a little and just enjoy the hobby sometimes.
Nice filming, flying and helpful, realistic commentary.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi John,
Nice maidens for all three. Have the six numbers and ready for the live stream. Will be keeping my fingers crossed. Stay safe.
Good job Don! See you Saturday.
Thanks for this. Appreciate your honest comments. Fun plane and that is what RC is all about. Catch up with you on your Saturday event. Peter
See you then! Thanks for the kind comment.
this one is pretty cool
Yeah, this format plane is a lot of fun for sightseeing on goggles.
Another great beginner plane ,I’m just enjoying the content as I won’t be entering the comp , I’ve been fortunate enough to win a great plane already so I’ll be just enjoying the flights , the flash is still sitting there boxed waiting for me to recover so can’t wait to fly but recovery going well, best of luck everyone, may the odds be ever in your favour 😊
Thanks Jay! Have you had a chance to fly the Flash yet?
@@RCVideoReviews no flying just rehab for my hands & legs started walking last week but it’s slowly coming back I think I can scrub the summer flying and working towards early autumn if all goes well
The motor from the FMS 800mm Corsair (mount should be the same), 7×5 prop and a 3s battery should put some zip into this one for cheap. ;-)
AirHammer out!!
Good idea. There are lots of options for motors on these planes. I just gave Fred a Bix2 with a SmallCNC mount that extends the motor out the back of the housing and allows a 9" prop.
Just taking a moment to acknowledge the airline cabin assistance/notification "bing" sound, nice touch. Very authentic, though none of these models represents any amount of passenger seating as a commercial airline, but that's not the point, I'm sure. Carry on 😏
Thank you. Nice catch.
Nice trainer but I prefer something with wheels. To dry and ground to hard here on the west coast. Another good video Jon!
Thanks!
👍
Good flying airplane for a trainer or a beginner or somebody that just wants to relax. if it was mine It would have to get a Landing gear though. I spend most of my time flying taken off and landing.
You can do touch and go's with these. Just gotta keep that speed up on the ground. I know some guys cut 2 liter bottles apart and glue them on the belly so they're slick on the grass. Lots of experimentation on these planes. FYI: Bix2 and Bix3 both have landing gear. Bix3 comes with gear in the box.
@RCVideoReviews Yes, I've seen These taken off on the belly. Fortunately, I have enough airplanes with landing gears already installed. So I'll stick With those.😁
You know, it sure makes it hard to pick one, when 1) you have great stick skills 😎 2) they're all good beginner model's.
Though, the hand launch and belly landing is a plus for flying around on an acreage.
With a little practice the Easy Trainer could probably be close to spot landed. I can usually land my Crash Test Hobby Grim Reaper at my feet.
Maybe you just need all three? :)
@@RCVideoReviews I wasn't very far from that thought 😏.
Отличные полеты.
Спасибо.
Um, with full FPV and a 3S, did you mean these types of planes for carrying that kinda payload, or that specific size??🤔
I've stuffed a 3s5000 in this type of airframe with FPV gear. Different model, but I think the wing loading is almost identical. The wings might even be interchangeable.
That number reveal wasn't very creative this time, that's gonna be a score of 4😏🤪. Oh wait, there was a part two of it...hmm, ok, that wasn't bad. I'll give it a 6 now.
Now if you had it attached to the under side of the fuselage as you did a low flyby.... 🤔😏
LOL. We had fun with it. Glad you did too.
