- The hunt of a lifetime. My childhood dream hunt was always to go to the Cassiar region of British Columbia to hunt mountain Caribou. In this episode of Fresh Tracks, I get to fulfill that dream and get to hunt Moose as well, making the trip even more special.
Heading to northern British Columbia we cover miles and miles of country on horseback scanning the tundra for a mature mountain Caribou. The landscape is beautiful, harsh, memorable and exceeds my expectations that I set as a young boy reading an article about mountain caribou in my school library.
This hunt was about fulfilling life-long dreams. Let this episode be an inspiration for you to go and chase that dream of yours; no matter what it is.

Almost 72 & still dreaming ... & planning.
I'm 76 , hunted moose in Canada , and elk in CO. last year, was planing on going to Africa in July, until the virus shut us down , so will probably go to AK an Canada if Canada lets us in , this fall , also deer hunted in my home state of MI. and in GA.

one of your best episodes in my opinion. I love that country. Have had the privilege of seeing it and hunting and have to say "it majestic" just simply amazing. Often told my friends, "you can hear a Nat fart two miles away there" unless you have been in that country you would never understand.
This is, without a doubt, one of the best hunting films I`ve ever seen! The landscape, the people and the hunt - it all seems spectacular! JUST WOW!
All I can say is that hopefully I get to go to a magical place like this to hunt someday.

Randy, I watched the day by day and thought this was an excellent story of a once in a lifetime hunt. Then I got to meet you at the Gerber booth at SHOT Show. Can’t be perfect every time, it happens. Thanks for giving love to the animal for its death. That is the mark of a true hunter, appreciating the animal in death and what it provides for you and your family. We hunters know it’s not about just taking an animal, it’s about game preservation and providing good healthy meat for your family. I wish more people could understand we don’t hunt just to kill.

Hey Randy, I will be 49 in November of 2022, and like you I have been dreaming of going to the wilds of Alaska to hunt Caribou since I was in my single digits, and this fall it'll finally happen!!
