"Wildfire" was about to be the title track of that album at one point, but finally it didn't even make the tracklist and were originally considered for inclusion on the 1986 album Like a Rock.
l agree with you, indeed Bob Seger is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.

Wow awesome song! Bob was kind of silent during 1983-1985 but this is just as good or better than the Like a Rock album. Would've been a hit, has that powerful big 80s sound.

This is awesome. Think the only reason it wasn't chosen, was it's similarity to Roll Me Away. Even after the breakdown, the chords going into the final verse, scream Roll Me Away. And he keeps repeating " I knew right then", exact lyrics from Roll Me Away. Not dogging it at all, love it. Would have been a good b-side to Roll Me Away. Like Phil Collins put " I like the way", the clone of Sussudio on its corresponding flip side
@@jerryparks6123 you know what, that true dude. Sadly I can't verify it but I do have pictures of Bob and my family at weddings, hunting cabins with my grandpa, and with my dad. Only person who can truly verify it is Bob himself

Another barn burner! Radio ain't interested. Not even classic rock stations in this region will play songs from artists who DEFINE classic rock released in the past 10, 20, even 30 years ago. This should have been released instead of shelved like a red headed stepchild.it

This tune begs the question of why it was shelved. 🤔

Perfect.like way back innocence
This song actually finishes at 4.32.
Yes:
Sounds a lot like Roll Me Away
Better than 90% of Like a Rock.
😄😊😂 lol if you need A Mike you have to have Green. Dreams are Real.
How do you get unreleased songs?
Sounds a lot like Roll me away. Maybe it grew into Roll me away.
Saw him back in 66. Nobody like Bob Seger Detroit! Enough said. Guess Chris Stapleton took the ropes. Grit.
Kind of a clone of ROLL ME AWAY. Is the E Street Band's(led by Bruce Springsteen) Roy Bittan playing piano on this like he did on RMA?
Sure sounds like The Professor.
Springsteen doesn't hold a Candle to Seger!
I'm 2nd what do u think
Bruce Springsteen who???
Segers admitted Springsteen's Jungleland inspired him to write Night Moves. Springsteen also was influence on him for The Distance.
