  • Philippines-Japan defense pact is an oblivion of Japan's crimes in WWII. It's a duty for the Filipino government to always remind its people of what Japan did, rather than enabling Japan to send its troops once again to the Philippines. #ThinkBigger #VictorGao #Philippines #Japan #US #China

No one should forget nor forgive the Japanese atrocities during WW2..
Based on Ukraine conflict, Philippines will need 120 Billion a year to finance the war. US and Japan will provide funding but under land lease agreement provided to Ukraine. That means Philippines will be forced to sell their national assets to finance US war plus provide manpower for the Frontline!! What a horrible deal Philippines is having. Those that will profit will be US and Japan.

It is really a dangerous development that the Philippines government allows Japanese military to stay on their soil. It is not even 100 years ago when the Japanese soldiers have committed atrocities in the Philippines and will not even apologize to the Philippines people. Sins will never be forgotten nor forgiven without an act of repentance.

The Philippines has always been a vassal state. The Spaniard created what we know as the Philippines, then the American occupied it and the Japanese came to took it over.
Now the American are back again.
The Filipino are given the illusion of independence. However it is the American who still calls the shot and their deputy Japanese also influence the islands.
" The “comfort woman” statue in Roxas Boulevard, Manila, capital of Philippines that symbolized the sex slaves abused by Japanese troops during World War II was removed by the local government on Friday, which provoked outrage from local activists. "
" The erection of the statue irritated the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines "
"Following its removal, the statue was taken to the studio of its artist Jonas Roces in Antipolo but was allegedly stolen, as reported in 2021." 🤔...Really ?
    Japan kamikaze statue in Philippines.
" Erected at Mabalacat airfield in the Philippines, from where the first kamikaze raid took off "
It was said the statue was meant to attract Japanese tourist..?
Why would a country humiliate themselves to the ones who once devastated the land and people...

Also there is greater economic and financial cooperation now between the two counties. It seems this move with the military is regressive. it complicates matters because Japan is also very well integrated with the US and made many investments over there. On the other hand, China consistently harrassed the Filipino soldiers and fishermen, and does not apologize, and instead blamed the Philippines when they injured some Filipinos. Thus, trust and friendship had blossomed between the Philippines and Japan, as well as with America and other allies, while enmity and anger between China and the Philippines. So, naturally, I support the actions of the president, in his friendshio and alliance with Japan.

China can't use logic with the Philippines which is an illogical place, its people forgiving to a fault especially if the one that did bad to the Philippines beat the crap out of the Filipinos and then gave money afterwards, this is called Stockholm syndrome and Japan also suffers from it, meaning it will always side with the US, China needs to understand this mechanism if it wants to deal with the world realistically. Japan gave the Philippines anime and that was soft-power, now the Filipinos love Japan and will fight for Japan, Filipinos are forgiving and forgetful, South Korea gave Filipinos K-pop and K-drama, the Filipinos love South Korea because of this! this is what soft-power is capable of, something China neglected for the longest time, at this point I also blame China, this is what a lack of soft-power does, there are consequences for it, it might be too late for China to learn and so its only course is the military route, hopefully China has the grit and resolve to finish this fight, it will be bloody but China will have to do it, it doesn't have any options left.

We are now facing new chapter, Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) between the Philippines and Japan is a military milestone to both countries for security reasons against "external" threat by extending their cooperations not only on military trainings but also in economics for both countries. I think, Treaty like this will not violation either rules or constitutions for both countries. Thanks!

Thar is why detail wasn’t publish both by Japan and Philippines except words. Japan only have Self defence Force which their boundary were limited. Having say so, this RAA does become useful when there is natural disaster in Philippines. As easier to send rescue, given no permission is needed any more for Japanese to enter Philippines as what Philippines general claim. However, does that mean vice versus, no idea.

Philippines did not forget those things in the past that's a fact but we cannot live our whole life living in the shadows of the past, we can only learn from it and forgive enable to move forward. In addition, China cannot blame the Philippines in its action to forge closer ties with Japan and its other allies because China continuously harrassed, threatened, and bully the Philippines in its own waters. They recognized China's actions as threat toward its sovereignty thus they felt that there's a need to build more closer ties with other allies. If only China knows how to follow the international law and respect their neighbors as well as their right, unfortunately China is only righteous with its words but not with its actions. China should expect the Philippines forge closer ties with nations especially those who experienced the bullying and harrassment of China in the future. As long as China never stops with its illegal actions Philippines will continuously forge closer ties to more nation.
