@Isaac Parent exactly. A lot of people call diaz’s 2019 a “fluke year” but in the opposite way you’d normally use the phrase; to say he was fluking his way into bad outings as opposed to what we saw of him in Seattle
once my dad said bedtime and i said after this inning and there were 2 outs and that was the inning that the red sox broke the record for most runs in 1 inning with 2 outs, 9 runs
The final comeback was way more impressive than it looked at first. It just kept on getting more and more improbable the more times they had to make a comeback in their final inning.
The Brett Phillips walkoff was just so special, but I get so depressed whenever I see it to know the Rays came so close just to lose. I really hope they can come back and finish the job with how how they’ve been this year.
watching this as a giants fan: 🙃 watching two former giants, pablo sandoval and ehire adrianza, come up big for the braves consistently in the late innings: 😊
I remember that Dodgers-Mets game. I was in college in the Midwest and listening to it on the radio. Almost went to sleep after the top of the 7th but decided to wait.
When i was in little league, my team was down by 13 runs, and since it was only 5 innings, there was no mercy rule. We came back and won 14-13 in the bottom of the 5th
I SWEAR that the Braves had a massive comeback in the 2008 season I think (may have been 07 or 09) and I believe it was against the Phillies. They were down 5-0 at one point, but going into the bottom of the 9th, the Braves were down 6-8, but the bases were loaded. Matt Diaz then hits a ball into deep right field which makes the Braves win 9-8. I’ve looked for this game everywhere and I just can’t find it. I remember it so vividly yet it’s like it didn’t exist
"The Mets yank it out!" As a Braves fan, I cannot say enough how much I don't like the Mets. But, Gary Cohen is one of the best to ever call play by play. Bar none. I loved this particular pun.
Last year the MLB implemented a rule that doubleheader games are now 7 innings by default. They did it because Covid has been causing game cancellations that lead to doubleheaders, and it's better for the safety and physical well being of the players if the games are shorter so they don't have to play 36 innings in 2 days or anything like that.
I would like to apologize to Edwin Diaz, this video makes him look much worse than he actually is
Kurt Suzuki comeback szn.
Honestly feel like the 2019 mets wouldve been a playoff team with even a league average bullpen
@@SurgingSpecs I mean their hitting was still bad

Don't worry, I'm a Mets fan and I know he absolutely sucks.
I almost went to bed when the Nationals were losing 10-4, but I chose to stay up. One of the best decisions of my life.
me to i was going to take a shower but delayed that shower because of the comeback
W
I always stall whenever my team is losing so I can see the comeback

@@taylorclouse7636 the only excuse to push up a shower is for your team making a comeback so your excuse is a very good excuse.
Those 2019 Nats were beyond special
The 11-10 comeback showed the nats weren't afraid to come from behind
Don’t even mention the Wild Card game against my Brewers. 😑
@@jimgahn9188 Trent Grisham....
Glad Zimmerman and Kendrick got hardware. They deserved it.

the entire 2019 nats season could be in this video

“we had em in the first half not gonna lie”
Why Diaz is always on the mound in this comebacks
Even as a phillies fan the nationals were insane that year
The Brett Phillips walkoff was just so special, but I get so depressed whenever I see it to know the Rays came so close just to lose. I really hope they can come back and finish the job with how how they’ve been this year.

You should include the entire 2019 season for the Nats. From the ending of the game that put them at 19-31 to game 7 of the world series
Fun Fact: I was at the padres dodgers game
I remember that nats game so much. Was about to turn the tv off after they gave up 4 runs in the 9th. So glad I didn’t
Its so fun listening to every teams announcer get more and more hyped up the closer the game gets.
Padres Dodgers, great baseball. Looking forward to more of the same all year. :)
Edwin Diaz is the perfect example of why throwing hard doesn’t mean you’re good
“If they do big things this year, they’ll remember this game”

Last night’s Red Sox/Yankees game should be included in the next part...it was amazing!
1st video i watched live, and to this day i think it is the best i've ever seen

This video should be titled Edwin Diaz blowing saves
I just realized that if the Giants had won that game when up 7-2, then they would’ve been in the postseason.
I’ve been waiting for this
Can you do a part 10 and keep going I love the series love your videos
Should have put just the entire 2019 nats season
I was at the Dodgers vs Mets game in the first row behind the plate
A suggestion for part 10
From 6/30/00 Mets comeback against the Braves after being down 8-1 in the bottom of the 8th and the Mets score 10 runs.
I was at the Phillies vs braves game and it was awesome
The Brett Phillips walk off ended the career of Kenley Jansen... he has been scared shitless since that happened.

That Mets pitcher Díaz was involved in like a 3rd of these clips lol.
Part 10! Please!
Half of these were Edwin Diaz
Kiermaier tripping while trying to do the airplane still is the best.
loved seeing the comeback vs the dodgers earlier this year, one of my favorite games to watch. Excellent video!
I like how in pretty much half of the clips the pitcher “Diaz” blows the game
Another successful Metting!
Can add the Padres-Astros game on the 29th to the next edition
Part 10 pls
As a Mets fan watching this... it hurts me
UrinatingTree: OH GOD THE METS LOST.
The Mets blow leads like the falcons
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man Mets really don’t like having leads
Pain
Finally
16:48 😂😂😂😂😂
Shhhhesss
The Brett Phillips his is what ruined Kenley Jansen's career...
7:43 i just noticed there were no fans
Edwin Diaz
Poor Edwin Diaz
Really picked on the Mets huh
This video should emphasize how dumb unwritten rules are. Comebacks DO happen, no matter the lead
Ho ho joc, ima miss him with the Dodgers. :(
The 2020 comebacks are so boring because there are no fans
Of course Diaz is on the opposite end of a lot of these ..
The Mets and leads don't get well together
Wow
I am sad
Sorry that most of these were against the Mets
How did the Yankees win in only 8 innings?
Double header so they only played 7 innings but they went into extras
The fact that there are 9 parts
This just kinda shows to me how bad Diaz is...
How come the game at 10:43 ended in the 8th? I feel like I missed something.
7 inning doubleheaders
Implemented in 2020
Last year the MLB implemented a rule that doubleheader games are now 7 innings by default. They did it because Covid has been causing game cancellations that lead to doubleheaders, and it's better for the safety and physical well being of the players if the games are shorter so they don't have to play 36 innings in 2 days or anything like that.
@@alexw0310 Oh that makes sense, thank you for helping me with that.
Because Manfred hates baseball. Any excuse he can come up with to shittify the game, he will exploit to its fullest advantage.
@@jeffallen55 Games are getting too long and the ball isn't being put in play enough. He's just trying to help those problems. F**k off.
