Nice rendition of a song by the late great Ronnie Lane. Mick sings it with almost as much conviction as did Ronnie.

Never seen much of S.R...but I am pleasantly impressed by their cover of one of my favourite Ronnie Lane comps.

Fantastic ! I just love the lead guitarist style and the middle break.... have always loved the Small Faces and being a small young stable Lad the same age, always wanted to join them back in their day when I was scratching around Itchycoo Park .
So now I am singing this, Mick's live version of "Debris " when I am Busking in Salisbury, Bath and Swindon .
    ( cough name dropping heheh)

LOL- its cool...Growing up in the States. I first fell in love with Humble Pie. It wasn't until much later in my life that I even knew that Steve M. sang Itchycoo Park . I eventually became a big fan of the small faces. Anyway I always wondered what it was like to grow up in that time period in England? I know I had a freakin blast growing up on the west coast of the U.S.

Really great job for a song that should have become a top 40 hit or at least made the rotation on American FM radio back in those days....IMO. There was a better live version of this song (IMO) done by Simply Red that was available to view on You Tube in the past. I can not find it anymore which means it must have gotten taken down off of You Tube. I swear money ruins everything! Unless Im mistaken, the video's that get taken down are taken down because of copyrights and the people who own those copyrights....If anyone out there knows more about this subject...please enlighten me because it really pisses me off.....LOL

Ronnie wrote this song and I have always thought it was about a girl. But Ian McLagan said Ronnie wrote it about his Dad.

Jon Jepson it is about his dad. The debris was a marketplace where bric a brac was bought and sold. His father took him there as a kid.
