Enjoyed this one, apart from absolutely bricking it when I saw something, not once, but twice. Got into a few fish, one was after I packed up so wasn't on camera. Fished at Brook Chine, which is a great venue, and right up there in my favourite places to fish. Tried the dongle rig for the first time, and I have to admit, it worked great. So I may be converted after all

More great content Dylan. My dads friend, a very well known island angler back in the day was fishing down there in the very early 80’s. Saw a figure with a lamp in the surf. He quickly realised it was walking in about 20ft of water….

Never heard the term shingle walkers,but it makes sense now. Heard this phenomenon on hayling beach when night fishing on my own . So weird. Great vid as always.

Hi Dylan how ya keeping mate, funny thing happen on beaches at night mate heee, great to see you on the dongle have used it for the last few years with great success, couple of tips mate if I may, make your rigs longer and bait a little shorter, the idea is the fish especially rays take the whole bait and move off before giving to much indication, great to see you out and about buddy take care of ya self n tight lines 👍
Awesome tips mate thank you, I'm very good mate. I hope you are keeping well too. It's interesting to try a different rig, and it's definitely taking a bit of time to get used to it, quite a different style of hook up, but I'm keeping to persist with them. 👍🎣🎣

Yeah mate, I'm really pleased with how they work, I just had it in my head that the extra hook gives more chance of a hook up, but it doesn't seem that way so far👍🎣🎣

Definitely stick with the dongle fella it’s all I ever use now fishing the Bristol Channel for Rays and Hounds etc..
Just give the bite time to develop and the fish hooks itself.
As you know with circle hooks you don’t strike the bite, just reel in any slack and lean back into the fish.
Definitely have a better hook up ratio using Circles over J hooks and very few deep hooked fish which is always great if your looking to return most of your fish.

Hi Dylan, new subscriber here 😊 I’m loving your videos as I lived in the west wight several years ago and my wife was born and bred in the west wight. I miss fishing the Island, but vowed to never fish Yarmouth Pier on my own again. I’m quite the sceptic type, but whilst fishing the pier one night, I turned around after casting out to speak to someone who was stood to the side of me, and they had gone ! It certainly wasn’t a shadow, as I could clearly see their outline whilst I was seeing to my rod, but once I put my rod down and turned, they were gone. I nearly phoned the coastguard as I was convinced they must have gone in the water ! After speaking to fellow anglers in the old tackle shop in Totland, it was clear I wasn’t the only one to experience this !
Also, do you have an instruction video to show how to make these dongle rigs ?

I could hear the shingle going, lit it up and saw nothing, then on my way back, I saw the indentations of wet footprints. Makes the hair go up on the back of the neck 😂😂👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan , fair play for for sticking around after that mate! All down that shoreline been supposed sightings of angry smugglers on beach and boats in the mist running aground on reefs . My brother and I were at the base of the chairlift in alum bay fishing at night and had stones from the beach hitting the metal railings but no one on the beach , someone didn’t want us there !😮. hi bud..yet another great video especially involving your invisible friend..🤦♂️🤣..update from last chat i hit norton wall again with my son this time and had 5 dogs and a strap..only stayed 2 hours.. first my fold up chair collapsed as i sat in it ended on me back with legs in the air me son was 😂🤣…then cast me tip light into the water as line was caught round it when casting and to end it it got so bloody cold..-1 so packed up and went home.. is it this weekend that nobby has the comp on mainland ..wonder how hes doing..cgat soon..🎣👍🏻

It's not fun is it😂😂, laugh about it afterwards, but at the time, properly crapping it👍🎣🎣
I heard the crunch of the shingle behind me, kept looking around, nothing, then got convinced someone had gone into my bivvy 😅 spooked me right out 😂

Hi mate new to the channel. Nice video, very entertaining. Yeah night fishing alone isnt everyones cup of tea, no matter who you are or how tough you are you always feel vunerable at night alone. You kind of half expect to encounter something lol i havent personally but can imagine it being very unnerving. Think i would quickly logically try and write it off in my head lol either that or leave all the gear and run back to the car 😂😂😂

Like I mentioned on a previous video I'm just accroos the water in Portsmouth and 1 of my favourite easy to fish sessions is Victoria Pier right on the harbor entrance , which is surrounded basically by massive castles walls from I think the 1800's and the amount of times I swear Id see "something" on a regular basis , then I night at about 2am I heard footsteps and turn to see 3 people all in period dress walking along , I did eventually find out it was part of a reconstruction event they were doing somewhere that evening but I've never been so freaked out in my life as to see 3 guys looking like they're out of Pirates of the Caribbean walking past at 2am

Great vid mate, I used to fish Chale and Blackgang many times on my own and the only person on the beach, never had any spooky experiences but know a few anglers have.

Hi Dylan, nice to see you trying the dongle rig, or is it the dingle-dangle?. I’ve heard it called both, but anyway I have used it a few times & it does work but like anything new I think it’s all a matter of confidence. It’ll be interesting to see what difference it makes after a prolonged period. Got a few pouting for bait so the trip wasn’t a waste of time. Don’t get me started on the ghost thing. I fish mainly on the pier these days because of mobility issues. Sometimes I’m on the pier by myself and I hear the wooden pier creaking and groaning. One night I was on it on my own and it sounded like a baby crying, really creepy. It’s hard to concentrate on the fishing lol. Anyway great video as always, thanks mate 🐟

They are the synco G2, so far I'm finding them pretty good. Especially when I remember to turn them on🤣🤣. I have then on for 6 hours non stop, and they last, I can't be bothered with turning off and on, they have great battery life👍🎣🎣
