    I started on my nail extensions journey about 2 years ago using polygel and dual forms. I couldn't get along with the dual forms so I started using paper forms. Then about 6 months later I switched to hard gel and have been loving it ever since. I even started a social media account dedicated to my nails and I'm currently trying to figure out how to make nail school work (financially speaking). And so much of what I've learned over those 2 years came from this very channel! So thank you, Anastasia! You've helped me to figure out what I want my career path to be! Sending much love from Kentucky!💙💙💙💙💙💙

      Good luck! I’m also in Kentucky and am learning as well!!! Idk where your at in Kentucky if you was close we could practice and work together lol I’m having a hard time with the poly gel and around the cuticle areas! I have been practicing acrylic nails for a year! I’m getting a lot better! I have so so much product and a practice nail hand I’m trying and working hard though

    Full cover soft gel nails are my favorite and I use only Enailcouture for price and variety. I had trouble with dual forms until I started using a paper form under the free edge as usual BEFORE using the dual form it kept the underneath much cleaner.

    My preferred method is polygel but without those dual forms! I simply grow my own nails and extend an overlay of polygel on top that way my natural nails are protected and don't break. I love this setting in the park btw! 🏞️

    This is a very good and useful video 🤍For some reason, when I used them, the soft gel tips started melting a bit when I applied regular nail polish. I was traveling at the time and didn't want to use the lamp even though I brought it with me. The surface of the nails got very creased and they got a bit softer. Later I realized that this was because of the regular nail polish. I'd recommend using only gel polish with soft gel. For polygel, I've seen some girls put tips first and then use the forms. This way, the underside will be smooth and there's no need for filing under the nail. I've never tried it, but definitely will.

  • @4hisglory365
    @4hisglory365 Před 2 lety +7

    I just started doing my own nails at home because I couldn’t find a good technician. For some reason I jumped head first and started doing gel on form lol I definitely messed up the first time and had to take the nail off. But I’m learning a lot from this channel and others on CZcams. I really don’t like that every time I get my nails done they look so thick. I do them much thinner and they last! I’m still having issues with the cuticle prep a bit so I just got efile to be able to do it like you. I hope it works! Thanks for amazing content 😄

  • @R.N.LosAngeles
    @R.N.LosAngeles Před 2 lety +7

    The first time I did poly gel it took me 4 hours 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I used the poly gel to apply full cover nails. I didn’t know to flash cure so they would slip and slide everywhere and I was getting mad. So I’d have to readjust the nail and poly gel would come out the side so I had to remove that. Then do the underside. Then I would cure it. But then I still had to paint my nails. My hands were all sticky. In the end they looked good but my nerves were frazzled and I needed a nap
    EDIT: I like the first method you did. So you can use gel polish right over the full cover tip? No buffing, priming? Just base, color, and top coat?

  • @SlavaZone
    @SlavaZone Před 2 lety +4

    I've been using paper forms with polygel, but it takes me so long, so I'll always come back to dual form... And then proceed to remember why I hate them!!! XD The product ALWAYS touches my skin, the forms may end up crooked, and so much product squeezes under my nails.
    My nails are quite flat, and the free edges grows up like a ski slope, so it's been very difficult finding a good, efficient method of extensions. I've tried plastic tips, but they split. I wonder if the soft, flexible, gel, full-coverage tips would work for me?

And especially in this one😉 You hold back on all the knowledge that you have to offer way too much!🤗💕 I finally received my order with the "sculpted" full geltips, after waiting 6 weeks for them. As someone who isn’t proficient with soft/hard gel, acrylic or poly gel, would you say dip powder is better for someone who is still a beginner in doing nails on their own? While you are doing your nails you are putting on a base coat which you said is very important. I don’t see a base coat in the kit. Is this a separate purchase? Or is it just another name for the primer? I’m confused.

    • @Nailcou
      @Nailcou  Před 2 lety +1

      primer provides better adhesion but in my opinion - not necessary for home use.
      Base coat - is a gel, that Aldo provides an adhesion and first layer of the enhancement. IT should be cured in LED lamp (unlike primer). You need to use it when doing - soft gel extensions or polygel nails.
      If it's not included in the kit, it can be purchased separately

    Hi Anastasia,
    I want to start doing my own nails, but I have a few questions before I do. So im hoping you could help.
    - If starting brand new full set using dual forms, are your real nails able to grow underneath the polygel?
    - Can you do in fills using just the polygel, or would I need to do a fresh set from scratch?
    - Can polygel be polished over?

    • @genamatthews9544
      @genamatthews9544 Před 2 lety +1

      I have used poly gel personally and yes to all three of your questions. In fact, once you get good at the technique, it's a breeze. I love using poly gel! So yes, your natural nails will continue to grow, the extention will stay on the end of the nail. Yes you can do a fill with it, so no you don't have to start from scratch if you don't want to. And yes you can you nail polish over the gel extention if you want to. Both regular and gel polish.

    I had acrylics for years and ruined my nails. Now I do a set of nails, glue them on with gel glue, then when they start popping off, I just glue them back on with regular nail glue. A single manicure can last several weeks.

    I did my nails for a year with soft gel and now I’m extremely allergic. It’s the saddest thing ever.

    I dont like fake nails because your real nails might break very easy and it will be hard to grow because that what happen to me before but now my nails are beautiful and long 😍🤩😘🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡💝💝💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
