Yes Lt Gen we the people of Manipur did see with our naked eyes that Assam rifles did nothing about poppy plantation though it's just planted in plenty just next to their designated camps. That's one big reason the public see them as integrated ties with Narcoterrorists in Manipur. Where does your security force stand to secure our motherland and state like Manipur? Are your security forces waiting ORDER from ( a SILENT) PM Narendra Modi to take action against Narcoterrorists?

The issue in Manipur never started due to war on drugs. It is totally ethenic in nature. If it has started due to war against drugs, why should the meetei kill 100s of innocent kuki in Imphal the capital city of Manipur? Nabakishwar currently VP Janata dal (United) Manipur and other esteemed members recently visited Zero ground Jiribam's relief camp but shockingly the grievances of people living in relief camp reported that they had been threatened by the security force to evacuate their house instead of giving them a sense of security and protection from those kuki militant who did burn their houses later on that same night. Such cases of evacuation , dilation and given insecurity act by the Indian security force did escalate violence more than one year in Manipur. Such initiatives and premature decisions of the Indian security force gave birth to many youth to defend their own village jeopardizing their career and future fate. How far your mighty Indian security force will handle the responsibility of strategies of the Indian state Manipur by taking precautions to prevent burning down the houses and creating violence from those who want to break down Manipur state into pieces? How long the Indian security force will keep on evacuating the people of Manipur from their houses to relieve camp instead of providing them security in their own villages?
Dear meiteis, have some shame before you point finger at any one and especially at those who are way above you in terms of intellect and understanding. First, pls accept that the state govt of Manipur turned a blind eye to all the killings in imphal valley, the burning of houses, the burning of churches, the looting of properties, the rape and heinous crimes.
Second, the relief camps in Kuki areas have till date not received any help or relief whatsoever from the meitei led manipur govt. In addition, any goods coming to Kuki areas including Essential Medicines have not been allowed to pass through meitei areas by meira paibis and meitei terrorists.
Third, why don't you talk about the fake messages that instigated the violence. The lies spread by you that meitei girls were raped and killed at lamka. That a meitei baby was burned by Kukis at Lamka. The protest rallies that you held at Delhi and Guwahati using false pictures taken from google and spreading lies to get support.
The perpetrators of violence crying as victims is absurd and no one will buy your lies. You meiteis control the entire political system, you have control of over the entire state resources, you control the police, the media, law and order, all institutes of learning including NIT, Agriculture University, manipur University, govt buildings, etc

General, just before 3rd May, 2024 Arambai Tengol and Meetei Leepun were unarmed social organisations, for me I came to know the existence of Arambai Tengol on 23rd April 2023 on the day of commemoration of Khomjom War . But Kukis were armed to the teeth on 3rd May and long before that.

I'll tell you some facts,
# Violence started on 3rd May.
# Kuki mob started attacking Meitei villages(starting from Torbung).
# Among the mob was Kuki militants with AK47.
# Violence started around 11am by beating a Meitei truck driver.
# The violence spread to other parts of the state uncontrolled.
State and central forces didn't do much to control the situation. DGP & ADGP(being Kukis) allowed the violence to continue since they were in upper hand. Police are not given orders so they didn't do much to control the situation.
Arambai Tengol & Meitei Leepun being cultural orgs. couldn't face the attacking Kukis as stick and catapult agaist AK47 can't be matched. Hence every youths went to police station and looted weapons to defend themselves.
After this, Kukis starts playing victim cards.
Sir I am from Sainik school and i know the mentality of Army.
As much as i would love the discipline, i would not accept the ego which follows it.
This reminds me of an interview when Lt. Gen of AR says that State CM should beg down rather than they joining hands with rest of the forces and paramilitary in establishing peace in the state.
This would saw the seed for military coup and lawlessness in the country.
Everyone staying in Imphal on 3rd May, 2023 know what happened at Imphal from 3 pm of the day. Many people are aware of the camping of Arambai Tenggol (AT) at Moirang from 2nd May 2023 evening at Moirang Lamkhai in the name of counter blocade against the proposed tribal solidarity rally. After the rally at Churachandpur was concluded at 2 pm on 3rd May, a commemorative gate built by one community was set on fire at a location 2/3 km away from Torbung towards Churachandpur. Skirmishes then start with AT and Police Commado supporting one side and some militants the otherside. The CM (also the State Home incharge) made no requisition for Army and Paramilitary to control the situation. So, no flag march during the initial days. No effective effort was made to contain the violence thereafter, but more and more state forces accompanied by AT were rushed towards Churachandpur District border resulting in more gun battles. Issue of illegal immigration and poppy cultivation are raised just for cover-up of atrocities. After all, it is the concerns of the Govt to control illegal immigrants and narcotic menace. In my humble opinion, only a new dispensation with a strong determination to control the violence in the State will pave the way for a new atmosphere of dialogue in the State.

Firstly, I salute to you for your service to our nation.
I am convinced with some of your solutions, but the crisis and insurgency in Manipur is not our fault. You are a learned man and as someone who served in top position, you know the political circumtance in history that led to insurgency in Manipur and neighbouring state. You know the malicious crime records of Indian army in the state. You know it very well why people here easily take up arms, why people don't trust Indian Army or Assam Rifles. Is it because the people here are violent or the circumstance made them to do so?
Well, I would like you to answer on these few questions:
1.Why are the Indian military organizations, be it Indian army of Assam Rifles, RPF failing to gain confidence in Manipur, specially in such a crucial situation when the civilian need them the most.
2. How were the houses in areas which were vacated but infact were under the watch of Assam Rifles burnt? Why have they failed to protect public trust? You must have read RPF being recorded on CCTV footage lighting up fire to agravate the situation. Who commanded that fellow? Why would an outsider bear personal interest in causing riot?
3. There are clear footages of Kuki army blocking Assam Rifles by pointing rocket launchers at their vehicles, and the Assam Rifles just negotiates to allow them to pass through. Is it acceptable to the terms of Suspension of Operation agreement.
4. How come the Indian military forces during their combing operation fail to find any war weapons when there are mortars, automatic rifles and snipers beingfired and having wounded the civilians? Why no arrest so far?
The list will go on but let me conclude here.
Definitely, the goverment of Manipur has failed, but the it is the goverment of India that has failed people of Manipur, big time here. You know very well the sentiment of Manipur, and allowing this to happen for more than a year is pure negligence, or is it a deliberate act as part of a bigger conspiracy?

When Central Govt decided to give statehood to Manipur it's area was so small that Outer hilly areas eventually was added to small valley Kangleipak to attained it's statehood.
Hills and valley had always been divided.
Sir, you are adding salt to the wound of the natives of Manipur,when you treated migrants and natives equally.
Regarding land issue. Almost all the development works are done in Valley area. So, every non Meitei who got the job in such department has to moved to Imphal, where their job(s) are located. Gradually the Imphal areas became populated. Not occupied out of greed, but of necessity. 'IF' the development works have been distributed properly both whiting the Hill and the Valley in the past, it would not have been in this situation. Meitei will go and live in the hills as their works are located, and the hill people will live in the valley wherever their job located. We have to see this angle as well.
Who is ruling manipur? Its Meetei. If there's a problem in a state, the main culprit is the failure or intended decision of those who rule.

You have done a good job of general awareness. I, being a responsible citizen of India, will not say anything bad about the Indian armed forces deployed in Manipur. But I would request you go deeper and find out why a certain armed force of the Indian union has been blamed by the people.
1. What if the the MLA sits are being shared equally? Meitei will never want it..
2. What if the development is equally spread all round within the state of Manipur? Meitei will never want it.. See the resent news of granting of Autonomous status for Hill University the valley media was flooded with envy.. Nothing for the betterment of the hills are in the minds of the valley based people.
Had the Manipur govt under Meitei regime does equal development for the past many years... There will never be PRESIDENT RULE even once & no conflict for sure.
Meitei lead state government is to only deprived the hills people who own much of the land especially Naga & Kuki
*Had the Meitei government(who holds 40 MLA) doesn't deprived them with there living of Jum cultivation in the first place the poor section of the society who does jum cultivation will never fall on Poppy cultivation. Deu to deprived of there shares the people have no other means.

3. In the name of deforestation & land reforms trying to grabs the tribal land by any means is the intention of this Meitei people.
4. Defame the hills people in anyway so as long the profit & land could be theres.
The hills people who are not aware of this cunning fox have been trapped in the cycle of this Drama queen of the century. #Meitei.

General shab, your assessment of situation in Manipur is completely wrong. Nagas and Meeteis are indigenous people while Kukis are non indigenous/foreigners came in 1840s.Their only aim is to create a Kuki land out of India from Manipur in which Assam rifles helping Kukis in poppy plantation in the hills of Manipur and in selling the drugs produced army personnel outside the state. This way they are working hand in hand in drug business, and now supplying arms to the Kukis to fight the Meetei and Naga groups it is said . General Shankarji, please don't give statements without knowing the ground realities.On 3rd of May, 2023 , Kukis started killing of Meeteis, burning of houses, looting of properties in Moreh, Kangpokpi, Churachanpur, etc. Col A K Choudhary, a PRO Army/Assam was caught in early 2020 with drugs worth Rs 20000 crores. Please note the present problem should not have happened had Meetei settled in Hills of Manipur. Meeteis being mostly Hindus, do not like to settle there because of the scarcity of water. Meetei Hindus take bath on daily basis. Therefore Meetei won't go to hills to settle in colonies, vengs, villages, leikais, but by few Meeteis who married to Naga and kuki girls , some business men and women only. It appears that sir your assessment of the genesis of the situation is very poor and biased, according to me and general public of the country.

Could you pls tell us why the central forces with more then 60k have failed to contain the violence for more then one year?. You're also talking about change in leadership if that's the case you should ask HM why did he said inside the parliament that CM was doing good and cooperating with the center.

Now some refugees wanted to visit and enjoy that few square miles and at the same time cease the backyard too. We were okay till the time the enjoyment was in the hands of the indigenous people but all of a sudden, there arose a question of separation which actually is not okay because after all it has a unique history of its own. No, we don't want to steal your land and at the same time we will NOT allow your land to be stolen by anyone in the name of separate administration.

With due respect Sir, having an open border policy, was beyond the scope of the denizens or the State government. Allowing illegal immigrants to settle in the state since the 1950s, was/is a decision by the center and the state has no say in it. All of the center's actions are based on input from the Army intelligence. Hence, what we are seeing now is a culmination of what the policies made by the central government/Security forces so far. Therefore, pointing fingers at the common people of the state - be it a Naga/Kuki/Meitei is akin to washing off of hands by the Army/GoI and putting the entire blame of the people of the state. What needs to happen is for GoI to go back to the drawing board and retract some of the wrong policies.
