    Lately I've received comments from people voicing their concerns around having to follow rules, let me clarify the point of this video. If you can't be bothered reading, here's the TL;DR:
    Rules =/= unwritten rules. Play the game any whichever way you want to, as long as you're not breaking ACTUAL rules.
    Non-TL;DR:
    These unwritten rules are OPTIONAL. As far as I'm aware they can act as a guideline from the perspective of a general (majority) consensus of a certain topic, and that is what I based this video on. While not scientific by any means, seeing similar videos, reading posts on Reddit, and having played the game for quite some time, has given me an overall idea of what the consensus is. The like/dislike ratio on this video does seem to validate it as well, though that one is in hindsight of course.
    Play however you want, having fun is the point of games after all. Some people will hate you for it, just like some people are hating on me for making this video (albeit a small minority). While I do think you'd be showing more respect to people around you by following most of these points, personally, I wouldn't care if you were to go completely against them. I won't hold it against you unless you're actually griefing. Going against these rules doesn't automatically mean you're griefing though, just to be clear.
    Regarding "Nuke correctly", yes, it's completely fine to drop the nuke wherever you want. Need materials? Fight SBQ in the zone, not a problem. The reason why I chose these specific drop locations is because I figured it'd be ideal to keep lower level players in mind, I think it's cool when they can participate in boss events. This topic is not quite as black & white as some make it out to be, but I should've indeed mentioned things like this as well, unfortunately it's incredibly difficult to make a perfect video.
    Hopefully that clarified some things. Have a good rest of your day!

    Another rule: defend the people playing instruments at One Violent Night. Don't keep walking outside, especially when there's only like 3 players there and/or mostly lower level players. Ghouls will come in other doors and from the roof and the people playing will get overwhelmed. Normally, don't one shot things, but absolutely one shot ghouls attacking musicians.

    Another quick unwritten rule from a player who's been playing since the beta. Don't make your vendor hard to find and don't put them in your shelter. Nuke Correctly - Don't forget that nuking isn't just for starting events, it's also for farming flux, so much of what you said is for low level players that dont know about flux, not "unwritten rules"
    Don't fight the SBQ at V9 because then half the radiation zone off the map and its useless for picking nuke flora afterwards. Leave Starion Delta or Glassed Caverns free if you can't fight in the radiation zone, but fighting in the rad zone is best because all the enemies drop ingredients for making flux. Also don't melt the queen as fast as you can, you get more spawns and therefore more XP the longer you keep her alive
    You can nuke Skyline Valley and there is no radiation zone, so it doesn't matter if you nuke the weather station
    Collecting Ore in Rad Rumble gives better spawns, snallys, deathclaws etc, so more XP... get the ore

    • @prizmere
      @prizmere  Před měsícem +7

      I agree, if you're nuking SBQ and want to farm flux you'd go about it in a different way. Ultimately it comes down to what your goal is when initiating the nuke, would've been worth a mention for sure, along with keeping her alive for a while for better overall gains.
      Wasn't sure about Skyline Valley, since the Nuke Zone doesn't even appear after touchdown. Thought it might still exist at the impact area (should've checked to be sure), but good to know!

    Not mentioned in the video, but has been commented: Vendor placement. Put them where they are easily seen and accessible. Also, have at least two!!!!! At least half the time they are directly in your line of vision, but you were impatient. WAIT!

    I wrote a huge comment about rad rumble and eviction. Then noticed you did it. Thank you.
    For rad rumble, standing in the hallways drops the respawn rate significantly. Stay in center, you do more harm trying to get to the kills first because nothing spawns. Join a team from players inside the event cause their kills give you xp on top of your kills. When rad rumble is done right with lunch boxes, you can level up multiple times, almost 10 times during double xp weekends with some buffs

It's true that the Auto Grenade Launcher (or Nuka Launcher) is the main culprit though. Did some quick testing just now and the Missile Launcher seems completely fine to use (at least unmodified), but the Fat Man does indeed fling enemies quite far at times, both unmodified and with MIRV. Great food for thought and, while I agree with you mostly, it is important to remember that it is just a game. Any game mechanic that is not some kind of hack is inherently “fair play.”
    For example, I don’t pick someone’s CAMP resources or take over their workshop, but I don’t complain when someone else does it to me.
    My Archer or Melee character doesn’t complain that your railway rifle is killing everything so fast, so relax when it’s whips out the Nuka Launcher or starts throwing Nuka Grenades.
    My Power Armor character doesn’t complain when your Bloodied Commando doesn’t throw on a Steath Suit on and lumber, overweight, through the tunnels collecting ore.
    I don’t complain; it’s just a game.

    • @prizmere
      @prizmere  Před měsícem +2

      Of course! Hopefully it helps people gather an idea of how they'd like to play, but ultimately none of this is set in stone, it's up to the individual.
      For all it's worth, I mostly don't care what people do when I'm out there playing on my own. Yes, it's unfortunate that people sometimes camp the RR tunnels, spam explosives or whatever it may be, but I'd never care enough to actually get annoyed, or worse yet, to get on the mic to give them "a few choice words". Someone wants to chuck a nuke on my camp? No problem, but I'd much rather see that nuke go somewhere useful instead lol. A game like this is made to be played for fun, so if one's not having fun, it kind of defeats the point of playing.

    I run a bloodied unarmed bulit with hack and slash, eploding palm and collateral damage and grenider so i make explosions just by playing the game. The search all bodies makes it to where your never going to loose bodies

    Pretty sure it doesn’t matter in skyline valley where you nuke as the storm absolves all radiation from the nukes.

    The worst I've seen is when someone starts shooting, and even spamming mini nukes in radiation rumble.!?!? Talk about blinding everyone! I almost just left. Lately lots of players are running the halls. Many are trying to get the kill. Honestly, I don't think they know any better. Most of the other games out there are super competitive. I'm just glad there are really tough bosses you can't "one shot". People gotta know, this is supposed to be a shared game. It's not all about you... speaking rhetorically that is.

    Not an unwritten rule but more like a tip, have your messages open to everyone! Someone might be trying to trade you for something or try to help you! This community has been really friendly and I’ve never messaged or tried to message people more than when I play this game

    I’m gonna challenge number 5, I can solo every event, so if I’m in the server ppl need to hurry up and get to the event instead of taking your time, cause high level players like me and my team we hate waiting to start things.

    That whole "spamming explosive weapons" thing...players do not care about other players.
    One way to guarantee a player spams his 2 shot MIRV Fatman is to tell him its a sick thing to do. They do it specifically because others hate it. Fkn check valve players.

    Just a note - i launched a nuke with the weather station in the blast radius, but technically it was outside skyline valley, so it didn't trigger the event... So just be aware of that.

    Sharing perks adequately (if possible) is a rule I use and apparently is a unwritten rule ive heard. I specifically have a glitched door that leads to a wall for those being punks lol as for spamming explosives if I'm not getting XP because some dude Overpowered vats build nobody is I know a little secret to get more punch out of my fat man i get 4 mirvs out of my 2 shot.

    I give other Players enough Time to participate for Events, If No one ist coming, i have to Start the Event at the Last Minute, or the Event is gone. I hate it to pass an Event, cuz no one is coming
