Growing Jerusalem Artichokes - Nodig - Smallholding UK

Today on the smallholding I am digging up and replanting some of my Jerusalem Artichokes in to 3 big pots. I am reducing the amount I am growing due to me being the only one that eats them 😊

You’ll probably find chokes coming up in that bed year after year because they regrow from the tiniest tuber. I grow mine in pots for that reason and they do well.

Yep 😆 I’ve got loads coming up now, it’s easy to miss little bits, there coming up in the Woodchip path around the bed aswell

Why not put some tubers in an out of the way spot and let them naturalize and use them in case of hard times the flowers are pretty also

I do have a patch of them next to my potato patch, the deer nibble them but they keep coming back

Can you tell me for electroculture that you made 7 months ago

I did it quite late and didn’t really notice any difference
I’m redoing an electroculture video trail this year from seed sowing to harvest 👍
