Please enjoy these simple recordings and feel free to give suggestions and requests! Thumbs up?... What did you like? Thumbs down?... What can I change for you?
Keep in mind that the main purpose of these videos is to help folks learn harmony parts to hymns and not to sound perfect. These recordings will sound a touch raw for a few reasons; I am not a trained singer, I am using very simple recording hardware, my recording 'studio' is a coat closet that is just big enough for me to fit in. ( :
If you enjoy the way that these hymns are sang and want to experience them in person, stop by just about any church of Christ and they'll likely be singing them the same way. Without instruments.
My recording process:
-Record each part on a Rode NT1-A on to a Zoom H4 recorder
-Some pitch correction in Melodyne
-Mix in Mixcraft 6
-Combine audio and sheet music in Corel VideoStudio X7
-Music is typeset in Finale 2012 by me or borrowed from PDHymns.com
-Gear can be found here: www.zzounds.com...
To my knowledge, most of the hymns that I record and post are public domain (except the ones I've obtained permission for). If you notice one that is NOT public domain, let me know as soon as possible so that I can take that video down.
I just learned this song when I listened to a pastor who talked about it when studying the book of Job for bible study. Thanks God for Elder Chris McCool, Zion Primitive Baptist Church!
It is a great privilege to share in Christ's suffering by sharing the gospel of eternal salvation.
Yes!
I sang this song at my great aunt’s memorial service eight years ago and it has been my favorite hymn ever since
Keep em coming guys, Love these hymns.....
Will do, Ronnie! Hopefully I can get around to getting some more complete soon!
Such a blessing! Glory to the Lamb
I learn a lot of songs from your channel. Your harmonies and timing are dead on.
I first heard of this song from My church of Christ radio!!
A Cappella Hymns are you talking about Elijah? Because he’s my cousin.
A Cappella Hymns yeah, he used to be my bible class teacher before he went to bear valley Bible Institute! We are hoping for him to take over preaching at the church that I attend when he gets out of school next year!!!
YES! This was one of the first songs I remember learning to harmonize. I don't even think I was in Kindergarten when I learned this one.
My mom taught me. She's always been a strong singer and encouraged me to use my voice for the Lord.
I love this song to
Thank you for making covers like this hymn. It helps us to sing new old hymns and how to sing it originally. Godbless you!

Thank you for uplifting my soul. Could u plz do I'll be a friend to Jesus written in 1922
Thank you for sharing & Posting!
I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love;
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true,
It satisfies my longings as nothing else would do.
Refrain:
I love to tell the story,
’Twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story
Of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams;
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me,
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.
I love to tell the story, ’tis pleasant to repeat,
What seems each time I tell it more wonderfully sweet;
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.
I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest;
And when in scenes of glory I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.
Beautifully presented
Amen
Nice
Please sing 'None of Self and All of Thee'. It's my favorite hymn! :D
Thanks so much :)
Amazing Hymn!
Can you record 'There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus':(No, not one!)?
And if possible "Oh Believe it!"
I listened to this hymn "oh believe!" in gospel preaching meetings, but we sang in the pew hymn book, The last time I heard was in a Gospel Meeting in England, i have the lyrics but not the sheet music.
Another suggestion is the Hymn: On that same night, Number 245 Little Flock Hymn Book (Aurelia Tune)
Do you know the Little Flock Hymn Book?
A Cappella Hymns I think I can help with "On that same night" music sheet coz' it's on our hymnal so if you didn't found it I can scan it and send it to you.
Btw, how's going everything? It's been a little while since you've uploaded a hymn :( seems like you're way too busy with all the stuff that you have. Much courage for you and I'll pray for you, Mr Bowman!
Testimony (good news) gospel
Do you have Earth and All Stars (words by Herbert Brokering) and Let All Things Nlw Living (words by Katherine Davis)?
